Visited the restaurant for the countless time and received the worst service I ever had there. Got there at 6:00pm and our server didnt come to take our orders until 6:20. At this time, I complained to the unprepared "manager" and was informed that the server was busy with a big party and thats why it was taking him so long. At 6:30, we received our basic drink orders. By 6:45, we had received the complimentary soup and salad that come with the meal. There were 2 families waiting who had been there almost an hour ahead. By 6:50, I decided to leave because mainly because the table next to us were fully sat 15 minutes after us and the cook came out before ours even looked like they may come out. After complaining to management, I received the following excuses:"he had a big party, I told him to apologize(which he never even uttered a word or recognized that he was given poor service and that a cook walked out that day". All in all, even if your staff is unable to hold up their basic responsibilities, the manager should at the very least assist in preparing drinks instead of giving piss poor excuses of being behind the bar when theres a table full of customers that hadnt received even their drinks. Needless to say, this is my last time visiting this particular location.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have frequented this place for the last two years and have had "so-so" service until today. Basically what you will expect: the same teenage kids pretending to waiter- but still obviously bad because they screwed up both my and my friends order. We explicitly told the waiter we were ordering teriyaki to eat and teriyaki to take home- we thought he understood. All good. Then the chef comes out, apparently probably in a bad mood. We were not entertained per se according to all the other reviews on here about what they usually do- no tricks, simply burnt food because the chef left the bar with food on it to go to the restroom. If that wasnt bad enough, my friend and I did not receive our two orders- and they still tried to charge us for it. Will not be going back. Note: if you are placing a takeout order for someone not present, do not mention they are not coming or else you wont see two orders of food.

The service was great but when I had an issue with my bill I went to talk to the owner who is very disrespectful and didnt care what I had to say. The server said you can substitute vegetables for extra rice but thats not the case when the bill comes. They charge me four dollars for extra rice and the owner said you already ate it so youre going to have to pay regardless. This was after they kept my bill for 10 minutes trying to figure it out. The owner said he didnt care what I had to say after they charge my credit card with the wrong amount. The owner who is sitting in a chair slouched over with a T-shirt and sweatpants on said that it it is his establishment and he can do whatever he wants to do. I told him that I will just take it up with the credit card company when I left. Good food but hope you never have to deal with the owner. I would never go back because of the disrespect shown by the owner of this company.

Do not waste your money. We paid for our meal, but no tip was given. The food is HEAVILY sauced with teriyaki. If I could give zero stars, I would. The service was also extremely lacking. It was truly the worst hibachi experience I have ever had (dinner on 07/23/2014). In fact, no one at our table (3 separate parties of 11 people total) liked their meal. On top of the meal, service was lacking. (We never did get a sushi menu.) The refills on drinks never came. And, whereas you expect at least a little "show" at the table, we only got the spinning utensils. My God, even the onion "train" was just the stack, fire and tapping on the grill. Our cook never engaged us at all. Upon informing the manager, he explained that they put a lot of sauce on their food. No apology for the poor service. No apology for the disappointed experience. If you go, I hope your experience is different.

The steak was good, the fried rices was not, veggies were OK. But the chef was a jerk. While he cooked, he made off color jokes, like "Japanese snot" while egg ran out of a shell and "Japanese toilet" as he poured oil in an onion volcano. This made one diner at the table refuse to touch his food and another nearly sick. The waiter wore t-shirt and jeans, but was attentive. What happened to classy people at Shogun? It was never this bad before. Update: Owner Mike Cho called me. He said the problem is his brothers, who manages the restaurant, not his, but Mike was too busy to properly discuss the issues. He offered a refund, but called back the next day and accused me of being rude because I dissed Shogun by criticizing it. Mike seems to be a thin skinned hothead who wont accept any criticism of his restaurant. I dont think Ill get a refund now.

My first thought when walking in was,"neglect". This was affirmed when walking in the restroom. They are so lazy that they hang a spray bottle of cleaner ON THE TRASH CAN. They were too lazy to put the roll of paper towels in the dispenser so instead IT SAT ON THE DIRTY SINK. My wife said the toilet paper was perched on top of the tampon disposal box...NICE!! Will we return? YES..after the next establishment that opens after this place closes. They dont even bother to include an appetizer menu on the sushi side. The waitress was clueless as to what appetizers they even had. Again just obvious neglect by the owners of this establishment. I ordered a beer and granted I didnt state the size BUT she didnt ask and brings the large size. I ordered a standard ginger salad and it comes minus the ginger with too much ranch.

Only the 4th time Ive been to a Japanese steakhouse, but the first time Ive been to a Shoguns. Flavors were good, but I steak was super tough, and cut in huge chunks plus under cooked. Drinks were slow to be refilled. I felt like everything was way over priced for what we got compared to the other hibachi restaurants weve been to. Desert wasnt included in the meal like the others. And Ive never heard of having to pay for a birthday song. As an accountant, I understand that the desert costs money, but if Im paying for a song it needs to be good. They didnt know how to play the drum, off beat to the song and rushed through it. I may go back if hubby wants to go, but wouldnt choose it myself.

After my to-go order was completely wrong I called to see what could be done about the order. I was told that the order was not worth a replacement and they did not feel like doing it. Also, he asked me to text a picture of the food THEY got wrong! What a waste of time and money. The incompetent manager was VERY rude and condescending and did not even apologize for the mistake. Not only did he make a joke about the situation, but lacked total customer service after explaining hes been in the restaurant business for 25 years. Well, for 25 years he hasnt learned much and I am extremely disappointed. That manager needs to have respect for his customers. Hes terrible.
