*TIP* IF YOU GET A WAITER NAMED JUAN CARLOS, ASK FOR A DIFFERENT WAITER! Im giving a rating of four stars, because the food is absolutely delicious! Amazing sushi! Excellent hibachi (although my favorite is still Kampai, over by Johns Creek). I was extremely disappointed with the service, but I understand that it was a particular individual, and not the restaurant to blame! Our waiter was "Juan Carlos" (that is how his name appeared on our check). He made our date night very unpleasant! My hubby ordered hibachi, and I ordered a salmon California roll. Anyone who knows anything about sushi, knows that a California roll is the style of the way they roll it. Not what type of fish is inside! Our waiter protested that they would not substitute salmon for crab, telling me that a California roll only comes with crab, so I explained to him that a California roll is not strictly crab meat. He proceeded to ARGUE with me! I told him to go ask the sushi chef before he carries on arguing with me. He told me that they would charge me extra for salmon, and I said that was fine. He was very rude, and argued to a lengthy extent about the whole ordeal. I was very clear that I wanted to substitute the crab for salmon, that I did not want any crab, and absolutely no cucumber!!! When he brought my order, it was a crab California roll, WITH cucumber, and a slice of salmon on top. He clearly wasnt pleased when I sent it back! I had to send my order back twice! They remade it three times! Then our waiter had the nerve to charge me for the crab and the salmon! But my correct order only had salmon! Very appalled at how this waiter treats customers! I would also like to remark, that the employees were in such a rush to close up at exactly closing time, that they started shutting everything off while there were still customers eating! We didnt even get to order dessert!

Today I went to the restaurant and order food to go (two hibachi chicken and one chicken bento box)The lady at the register was RUDE, first when I was placing my order y in the middle of ordering she answered a call without saying anything not even "excuse me" just turned her back and took somebodys order and then decided to pretend that she was doing something in the register while I was behind her just thinking why she was acting so mean. One of the waitresses came and she saw that my husband and I were standing there and asked the lady if she was already helping us and at that moment she immediately turn around and started repeating "my order " all messed up. At the end when the food was ready she just came from the kitchen with our bag and just placed it in the counter without letting us know that the food was ready and left. I dont know the name of the lady but one thing i know is that she is disrespectful and rude and maybe she needs to be working somewhere else but not talking to customers. Ill definitely will not recommend this place knowing that there are a lot of Japanese restaurants with better and friendly service. took

I walked in and stood there for a couple minutes before anyone attended us. We were seated and we both asked for waters with lemons. I asked her again for lemons and the food was out before she brought what I asked for. The Suchi was not fresh, although they said it was opened this morning, meaning it came from a can or a package, and was very slimey. I let the waitress know and all she said was well, you ate two..... When there was only four to begin with. Obviously I would have to try them before I could determine if they were good or not. The California rolls had black avocado in them, and that wasnt even considered when she told the manager. After mentioning this to her, all she said was well, ok, handed me the check before I had even asked her for it, and she walked away. Horrible service, mediocre food, and an EXTREME lack of customer service skills I will not be coming back.

I went with my family for lunch today. Three orders. Two hibachi. One sushi. I am on a regimented eating plan. Today was a special day for me. My family gets their food and I sit and wait patiently. For a while. My server was very sweet and did a great job overall. You can tell she felt bad delivering the news that the sushi chef had lost my order. I repeat: SUSHI CHEF - LOST THE ORDER. Sir, YOU HAD ONE JOB. The incompetence of this action gravely affected my day. It was a disappointment and I will not be coming back to this restaurant based on this error. I was offered free soup or salad or rice to take home. No. I came for the sushi. You gave me disappointment. I ended up eating the leftover chicken my kid ordered. Thanks for ensuring I never come back. I was a repeat customer.

Weve been eating here for years & the food is delicious. But our experience today was ridiculous. They have a huge banner hanging out front claiming 30% off of the entire check. However, when we got our check, that was not the case. We were charged full dinner prices instead of brunch prices at 1:30 PM (they advertise brunch until 3 PM). Then, the only items discounted were the full-price adult meals. Drinks, fried rice up charge, etc. were all marked **not discountable** on the check. When we left, we saw the banner had in tiny print "excludes beverages," which contradicts the "entire check" in larger print. So, basically, we paid more during the "Thanksgiving Discount" period than we would have on a normal day! Very disappointed in these misleading business practices.

On Friday July 14, 2017 I was very excited about trying something new. Me and a friend entered Miyako Hibachi around 9: 45, we were greeted and seated rite away. It was clean and the atmosphere was very cozy. We ordered our drinks and as the waiter came back with them we were asked to move to the other end of the table away from the view of the hibachi experience, to accommodate a large party. We told the server we didnt want to move cause we came for the experience, she didnt care and we got up to find a manager. Two associate told us the manager was off so we left. Will not go back and I will tell my customers about my experience.

This is my favorite sushi place in the Smyrna /Cobb area. They give you way more sushi than everywhere else and you dont feel like you are eating just rice. If you like spicy sushi rolls, ask for the TMZ roll. It isnt on the menu anywhere but they will know what you are talking about, it is spicy tuna with spicy mayo and a jalapeño slice on each piece. It is awesome and especially when combined with the Miyako roll. Their hot sake is nice as well. Favorite apps tend to be the Salt and Pepper calamari and the gyoza. Oh, and they have the absolute best ginger dressing I have ever had, so try their little ginger salad as well.
