We have wanted to try this restaurant but never had the chance until today. Are order was messed up instead of getting 1 plate of 3 piece chicken tenders and fries they gave 3 plate of tenders and fries. Way to much food and NOT what I ordered. When we corrected the order the EXTREMELY RUDE cook came out and told us not to order so much food next time. We didnt order that it was a mistake. The grill food was not good at all very dry and bland! We should have walked out because of the rudeness of the cook instead we ate our food in what felt like a very hostile environment. Accidents happen and I can always overlook this but rude employees and bad service should NEVER happen. We will never return and will tell everyone who ask of our experience.

The homefries were raw in the middle, still hard & cold but they had melted cheese on the outside. I heard the microwave ding, the cook dinged the dinner bell & my food was brought to me leaving me to believe they nooked the homefries to melt the cheese bc my eggs were cold & the gravy on top of my country fried steak was barely warm. Ive had better from this place, maybe if the waitress wasnt so worried about the private party in the back room we would have had better service. She passed our table at least 5 times but never offered to refill our tea or coffee.

Jefferson House is under new ownership (hence "Julias"), and deserves a second chance from those diners who visited under previous incarnations. The breakfasts are better than anything served in nearby Athens, and Ive little doubt that the lunches are equally up to par. The service can be a little slow compared to fast food joints, but then again quality is worth waiting for. As the famous sign says, you can have two of the following: cheap, fast or good. But you cant have all three.

This is a nice, little "country" restaurant with good, no-nonsense food, friendly staff, reasonably big menu, and very affordable prices. They serve breakfast all day, but my favorite at lunch is the country fried steak, which is as good as Ive had anywhere. Even though youre not going to find anything fancy here, youll feel like your grandmother cooked your meal for you!

Wonderful staff and food! $5 burgers on Monday are top notch! Each day there are different specials...everything is very affordable. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of the wait after you get your food. Once you have your food its hard to get a waitress to get any additional refills, etc.

Such great food & great service! Dont look for high-end, expensive cuisine, but if you want good, down home fare prepared with great care at a reasonable price, this is the place for you! Never had a bad experience here and the food is always fantastic! You wont be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I like to visit here ever so often, and everytime we visit we are never disappointed! The food is always hot and fresh, the portions are amazing so you really get what you paid for and the staff is super friendly! I highly recommend checking this place out! :)

We eat lunch here at least 3 times a week and its amazing. We have tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed yet. The patty melt on rye is my favorite. Highly recommend.
