I go here often for dinner since it is on my way home. The food is usually pretty good. I noticed that on Mondays they have free kids meals with purchase of an adult entree and beverage, so I stopped by last Monday with my 3-year old son. I ordered an entree and a draught beer and I told the waitress I wanted to order a kids cheeseburger meal for my son. When the bill came, I asked the waitress why the kids meal was still on the bill. So, she went and came back and said that the kids meal is only free when an entree and non-alcoholic beverage is purchased. (It stated this nowhere in all the promotions they have for the free kids meal.) I told her to add a sweet tea to it then, so I could still get the free kids meal. Then, what I assume is a manager came back and told me, I didnt order a kids meal, so there wasnt one to take off the bill. When I told him that I told the waitress I wanted a kids cheeseburger meal, he said "We dont have a kids cheeseburger meal. We only have the cheesy burger entree which is what you ordered." I tried to explain to him that I wouldnt order a full entree for my 3-year old and that the waitress never told me there wasnt a "Kids" cheeseburger meal when placing my order, but it fell of deaf ears. Ive worked in food and beverage for many years in my life and this experience was not handled properly by Friends Grill. For this reason, I will not return to any of their locations. Finally, Ive tried searching the website for them and there is no "Contact Us section so that customers can voice their concerns to management. Obviously, it doesnt matter...

My parents, sister and I went here to stop and get some dinner and I have to say I was less than pleased. The food was good (nothing surprising but alright) but the service was utter crap. The person seating customers walked off when we walked in to go talk with a customer and had a lengthy conversation with them. Then she walked away from them and went into the back for about 20 minutes as tables were clearing up in the front and said that we were getting put in the saloon in the back. So instead of cleaning a table in front, she moseyed on over to the back and talked with some group back there all laughing and stuff having fun and then we finally got seated. It took like 20 minutes for our food to come out (which is acceptable knowing it was packed) but they took 30 minutes to come check on us and ask about refills. Then they took some considerably large amount of time to bring the check back to us so we could leave. Not pleased.

The best way to describe Friends is "eh". The decor is typical of a "Family Friendly" sports bar. Goofy signs and football jerseys. The food is above average and pretty expensive for what you get. The best thing on the menu are the wings. Boneless or bone-in. The selection of flavors is rather outstanding. They feature good quality beer (not just Bud and bud light like most places) but the real problem with friends is the staff. If you need drink refills or any kind of help at all. GOOD LUCK! I have been to this restaurant many times and have always been ignored. also, The young women wearing ungodly short shorts.(fine by me) But the plus size waitresses wearing the Daisy Duke shorts....Cringe worthy.... But since the choices in the Dawsonville area are rather narrow. I will continue to eat here... (I hope a Buffalo Wild Wings opens up near by...)

I really wanted to like this place. I was looking for a great burger. Friends had a 4 star which was the highest in my area for a burger. I ordered the chicken nachos supreme for an appetizer & was shocked when this little basket of chicken pieces was brought. Barely any lettuce or tomatos & the handful of chips were covered in white cheese making them almost invisible. When the small burgers came, I knew we were in the wrong place for a good burger. Even with the small portions, I was hoping for something that tastes awesome ( to explain the prices). I did not get that either. It was edible. Thats all I can say. Dairy Queen had a better hamburger with more juicy goodness. The whole experience was lackluster.

My wife, another couple & I came down from Dahlonega a couple of weeks ago for dinner on a Saturday. We were greeted and seated in minutes. The service was great and I am in the public sales and service business, this was a 10 out of 10! Bianca was our server, she was not only polite, but very FRIENDLY... Hints the name of the restaurant is Friends... Well, to top it all off, the other couple with us were from Cleveland Georgia over 45 minutes away, they also said that this was the best service and the food was GREAT! Keep up the good job yall at Friends Dawsonville, Ga. John Duke

I have food allergies. My waitress, a second waitress, and the cook did not understand my questions about "shared prep space". They kept insisting that any dish with my allergen could be prepared without the allergens, which does not provide the peace of mind or confidence necessary for me to be able to enjoy eating. I ended up leaving after three people failed to give me any kind of answer. However, their bar is great.

Just went to friends around 3:30 on a Saturday. Got seated and waited 15 minutes and never even got a drink order taken. The only employee that we ever saw was the bartender. The restaurant wasnt busy at all. Outside there was one couple fighting and another making out on the patio. Classy place. Eventually just got up and left because we were never helped. Will not be returning to this establishment.

Go for The Knickerbocker! We ate here on May 17th for the first time and the food and service were both excellent. The atmosphere is good, as well as the beer selection (mixed drinks are available) but you have to try The Knickerbocker Tavern Philly! Hot ham, turkey and roast beef, all mixed together with cheese, onions and a great sauce. Loved it and we will be back.

Absolutely the worst service Ive ever had at any restaurant ever. The waitress disappeared for 20 minutes when we asked for a minute to look at the menu. We saw her speaking on the phone and sitting behind the bar. We finished our drinks before our appetizers came and didnt get refills until we were almost finished with our meals. Will never return.

Friends has a wonderful staff, thought out menu choices, outstanding mixologists, and caring management. The decor is standard but inviting. A great place to watch games or to enjoy a nice family sit down. Ive always enjoyed my experience. They even host UFC ppv thats always a blast. Trivia on Thursdays is fun too!

Grace behind the bar , over many years of visiting Friends is the Best - always remembers patrons names and also drink choices . Friendly comes very easy for her , always smiling , always laughing and having a great time serving her customers ! I always look forward to her being on shift when I have chance to visit !
