Went her because we heard good things and had a coupon. We were a little confused as to who was going to seat us because there is no hostess stand. Finally we were seated in the band room as the band was bringing instruments in. It was cold because the door was propped open and it was cold and raining outside, but after I mentioned it someone closed it. The server was missed a few times when we needed things, but nothing too serious. Now for the food, we ordered the buffalo dip which was pretty good. My wife had the philly sandwich and onion rings. I tried the rings but we both found them too breaded for our liking so we left them uneaten. The philly has carved meat, not sliced, but it was decent. The kids had fries with their meals, and while the were tasty and seemed homemade, they were very greasy. They were left partially eaten. I ordered the sirloin with loaded potato and salad. The salad was fine. The steak was a weird little square. Tasty and cooked right but hard to cut because of the shape. The potato was pretty bad. Over done and hard. On to the dessert. We went this far because we had to make it to $50 for our coupon. We ordered the brownie with ice cream. When I say that this brownie was hard, I mean we had to saw it with a knife. A hot brownie! We let the ice cream melt into the cut pieces to soften it before we attempted it. We asked for a Key lime pie slice to go. When I opened it to look at it I saw a very puny slice. For $5.50 I could have gone to Food Lion next door and bought a whole pie for that much. We didnt complain because we were exhausted from cleaning the yard all day and the kids were acting bonkers so we ate what could and left. We are just glad we used a coupon and didnt lose out on much money. Maybe it was just a bad night for them?

I recently wrote a negative review based on an incident on Sunday Jan. 17 during lunch. I am more than thrilled to let everyone know that the owner took the time to call me personally to apologize and explain what was done to correct the problem and that issues were discussed with the staff to be sure they know the proper procedure for addressing issues in the future. In every restaurant there will be incidents that happen. It isnt the problem one experiences its how the management addresses the problems. The quality of the food offered at Dawsonville Tavern was not the issue I was addressing and I will return again and will continue to let friends and neighbors know how good this restaurant is. I am actually excited to get there on one of the nights when they offer entertainment. Dawsonville Tavern is the best new place to go for a night out and we can avoid going down to 400.

Amazing!!! This place was so good! Wings were awesome!!! And my friend got tossed tenders and wow! Best chicken I ever ate, glad to be in the chicken capital of the world! The loaded fries were incredible. Really they were orgasmic in my mouth!!! In the band while they totally jammed out I cannot believe they had such amazing talent in Dawsonville the whole experience really got me there! ASk for Tay Tay...you will wanna run your hands through his mane. We live 72.5 miles and will be back ASAP! Not too mention the Dollar Tree is just a short walk away for some incredible deals! Boiled Peanuts in can that will make you wanna slap your Momma! Please ask for Sharon she is a life saver funding those ponchos! Wings, Dollar deals, and Man candy was just the Saturday night we was needing! ShoUT out to Sharon of the DT for the great restaurant recommendations!

First I noticed they had an inspection score of 84 posted...then It was almost an hour to get our food...thats forgivable as they looked understaffed and probably were surprised by a couple of unexpected large groups on a weeknight , but... We were seated well before the partys after us yet they recieved their orders well before us? The fries were horrible, they were soggy on the inside and burnt on the outside and therefore discusting and enedible. When The server finally gave us our food, one of the items was hanging off the plate and stuck on his shoulder. It was discarded and they never offered a discount or replacement. Ketchup was empty so we asked for a new bottle, it never came so we grabbed one off another table. The onion rings were good but everything else was average. I dont think I will ever visit again.

We went here to eat based on the good reviews and it was horrible experience. We waited 5 to 10 minutes for one of the two servers seated at the bar to acknowledge us and only after watching one of them do a shot did they do so. By this time it was a couple minutes after 11 and we were informed that the kitchen was closed but we could order drinks. This was not a way that you want to be treated when you try a new place that has such good reviews and thanks to this experience why would we or anyone care to go back and be treated like this.

Well picked up a to go order got fries burnt asked for Mayonnaise, for our sandwhiches either on the side or on the things and they screwed us on that. For sure and then the philly cheese steaks were not really all that, for what I paid for em. About 9 an tax a piece. If you want a good philly, find yourself a fire house subs. I give them 2 stars because their tater tots were pretty damn good, but then again my high school cafeteria back in the day had tots this good an they were just made from old lunch room ladies. An thats my review

Edit: I went back a few weeks after opening and anything that was subpar was drastically fixed so Im assuming it was an isolated thing. Burgers are so juicy and amazing and the blue moon onion rings are heavenly!! Have been back several times since trying it for a second time. Sides were delicious. Burger was obviously frozen and tasted terrible. Ribs were cold on the inside and had to have been left over from the day before and just partially heated up before served.

Service was great...but the food was not cooked good at all! Shrimp was undercooked and cold; steak should have been medium-it was very rare; the rice was dried out; philly cheese steak had large pieces of steak that were cooked to different levels and needed seasoning; kids meals cheeseburgers were hockey pucks...very disappointed. We dont get to go out often, so we had thought we had made a good decision because of previous reviews...

Great environment, service was great. You can tell the owners are a daily part of running the business. Side salad was fresh, tomatoes, cheese, croutons, onions, etc. Live music on most Fridays and Saturdays. Chicken Philly was okay, just needed a sauce to really take it up a notch. Cheese, Chicken, onions, and peppers, just wasnt enough flavor. I look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Horrible. The service and the food. Everything was horrible. The gentleman playing live music along with March Madness on tv were the only two things that kept us here as long as we were. However, the 5 domestics for $10 dollars was nice. Visiting from out of town and definitely WOULD NOT recommend!!! I think the servers were doing the best they could, however they need training on attentiveness!
