If I didnt know better the atmosphere of this place would lead me to believe that Irish pubs are culturally bland and devoid of character. The over lit main dining area was missing the finishing touches that make just a place become a place to be. The last minute decision to order the grilled shrimp appetizer turned out to be a good one. The shrimp was well prepared and paired with a decent lemon herb butter heavy with dill. The cocktail sauce wasnt complimentary and should be discarded on arrival. I ordered a house version of an old fashioned and received a poorly made version of the classic. The orange peel was a whole wedge lodge at the bottom of the glass with an emaciated candied cherry. Such a shame to destroy decent whiskey. The star of the meal was definately the mid rare ribeye and honey glazed carrots. The fries on the side were obviously a frozen version although decent and well seasoned. I ordered a Stella Artois from their meager and predictable beer selection only to receive what was either a very old keg or the wrong beer altogether. I notified the server that the beer was of poor quality and expected it to be removed from my tab. After seeing that it wasnt I brought it to the attention of the manager that I drink Stella almost daily and this beer was indeed not Stella Artois. He assured me it was Stella (basically calling me a liar) and stated that it is company policy to charge a customer for a drink if it has been partially consumed and the sour beer wouldnt be removed from my ticket. I spent 65 dollars on a meal for two and this guy will never see me or my friends again over a 5 dollar beer. After 15 years in restaurants I can tell you that this kind of poor customer service and low quality bar tending will be the downfall of this establishment if they dont make corrections.

I was very uncomfortable there. When we first got there, the table we were seated at, was very nasty. The hostess got the spray and paper towel and barely whiped the tsbles and seat. My chair and the booth, still had crumbs in it. I had to almost run after her to tell her that to come back to clean our seating area better, because she rushed to do a very lazy, poor job. There were lots of flies, gnats and huge roaches in the back pub, where we sat. I swatted at them the whole time, while eating. The food was a little over priced, and I felt that the manager, Brittany, didnt handle things well, after telling her about my experience. One of the managers tried to offer us a $25 gift card, to rectify the situation between 5 people!! How could yall think that would satisfy us after all that? There were two different transactions! Customer service is very important to me, and I think management should go above and beyond, to make sure the customer has the satisfaction that they deserve. I shouldve at least been offered two free meals, instead of a $15 gift card. One meal is $12! I paid for my son and myself, AND they shortened him a wing on his meal. I must say that I wasnt impressed, and will not be going back...

We visited on a Saturday afternoon, to my surprise place was nearly empty. They have plenty of TVs Id youre a sports fan, including a giant projection screen. The beer selection is great(if its ever in stock)! They even have a beer sampler on the menu (I believe 5 - 3oz beers of your choice). The waitress was very friendly and not afraid to help us pick something on what I would say, was a good looking menu. So many delicious options! I had the reuben and my wife got the fish sandwich. We also shared the fried pickles. I didnt think anyone could match Tubby Toms, but these were awesome! The waitress also informed us there usually always something going on there (like live music, etc.). Its also kinda cool to just watch the square and all the sheep while you sip a cold brew. Well definitely return!

I have read mixed reviews about this restaurant and mainly the poor reviews centered around poor service but with my experience I found the service to be quite nice. My husband and I split a reuben and the fish and chips this way we both got to try two things. The Reuben was delicious and the corned beef was lean. The fish and chips were good. The only thing I could say that could be improved if they offered my mom a different side she said that she would like mac and cheese but they failed to tell her it was $2 more to change to mac and cheese. I think it is always in the customers interest to tell when something they order is an upcharge.

Went there on a friday evening. Service was nothing special. What really took away from a peaceful dining out experience was the hostess walking through the place like a heavy hoofed animal. It was almost as if the person was trying to stomp while they walked. No other person walking through made any noise quite like that. I have traveled to Europe and I will say this food is not authentic tasting. It lacked a lot of flavor. Ordered the fish and chips with the fish pretty much all breading. Very little fish. The only saving grace for this place is the bar and music that is upstairs. Other than that, I will never go back again.

We decided to give this place a try for the first time for Sunday brunch. We understood that they were busy, but we sat at our table for 15 minutes with no eye contact, no water, no "well be right with you", no "Im sorry, but were really busy, well be with you soon." Nothing. So we got up and left (still with no acknowledgment from any of the staff) and went to a different, well-known restaurant on the square, with excellent service and excellent food. Perhaps well give Irish Bred another try, but not any time soon…the menu did not offer anything that stood out to us, anyway.

The atmosphere at this place is PHENOMENAL! My husband and I visit this place often, and the food is just as amazing as the staff! We like to come on the weekends when there is a live band upstairs! Its not your typical "crazy bar" atmosphere. Even though you can go and have a good time, it still offers up a family feel, and we take our 18 month old with us to watch the music! (We dont stay too late though! ;) We recommend this place to ANYONE, and you are guaranteed to have not only great food, but a good time as well!

My husband, daughter, & I just went there @ 5:20 pm on a Saturday night. Not very busy, & we waited for 25 minutes with not ONE employee coming to our table. The people seated after us got their drink order in and got their drinks. They even tried to let the waitress at THEIR table know we had not been helped. It was that bad. First and last experience. I would give 0 stars if I could. You would think with this being a new place on the square they would care about getting and retaining new customers.
