Under staffed bartender & M43 IPA were the only reason I might consider ever coming back. Parking lot is a fair hike away from the front door & in terrible condition. Navigated multiple pot holes with my car, standing water on the walk up & it hasnt rained in several days. Mid-May in Michigan & the patio seemed like garbage storage (completely unusable). Upon entering (4:15p midweek) there were a few tables seated & appeared to be only a couple open seats at the bar. After a few minutes waiting to be seated by the hostess as the sign said, realized the bartender was also the hostess & the only server. Seemed managers were standing in front of the few available seats at the bar discussing how the business is booming. Needless to say as much as the bartender was sprinting around there were to many patrons to serve promptly. One person running the entire restaurant is inexcusable in my view. Why werent managers assisting when the restaurant is understaffed? Ordered a "flat bread" pizza. Wasnt flat bread at all, more like an "upscale" frozen personal pan pizza. Ingredients tasted & appeared frozen, disappointing any brewery would serve anything that didnt taste fresh. The visit was memorable, unfortunately mostly for the wrong reasons. If they didnt have such a great brewer there is little chance I would consider visiting again.

Beer was very good (chocolate stout and double brown) and reasonably priced for happy hour. Regular prices werent bad either. Service was quick and courteous. I was really excited about the food when looking through the menu but was disappointed when both of our burgers came out well done and dry despite ordering medium rare. Even the fried egg on mine was overcooked to mush. Mac and cheese was pretty standard but I still favored it over the burger. Im sure we could have gotten new food if requested and am only taking away one star for not getting it right the first time. Will definitely be back to try again and see if the over-cooking was just a one-time problem with the kitchen. Definitely worth a stop for the beer and fresh soft pretzels though.

Had dinner here the other night. It was ok to say the least. I had a gyro with mac and cheese and it was good but not the best Ive ever had. When ordering drinks the waiter told us theres root beer. I said sure. After i drink my first glass, the waiter says would you like another root beer or water instead. This indicated that the root beer refills ARE NOT free. He failed to tell us that when ordering our drinks. That made me a bit upset because I would like to know if the refills on root beer are free or cost extra. Yes it states it on the menu that its a dollar refill but at least remind a customer when someone orders a root beer.

Worthy of the 3 or so mile trip off I-96, despite the antique speed limits imposed by the village of Williamston, and visibly enforced. The space is designed industrial and noisy, both the rye beer and the hefeweizen were quite good, as was the avocado burger. Theres even a malt liquor on the tap list, but we werent brave enough to try. Reports from the rest of our party were the rueben was a little fatty, the olive burger was good, but the spicy feta dip and accompanying warm pita was a very positive surprise.

I see some of the lower reviews and just dont get it. Went to Old Nation today and it was great. Main reason for the one hour trip was to pick up some beer but I planned lunch too. We had the cheese curds and they were amazing, and I just got back from Wisconsin! Wife had the fish and I had a burger. Both were great. And the beer was five star too. I had the Tweed and Coffee Stout. I will be back!!

Been there 3 times now. Once for a growler fill, once for a drink and a fill and a third time for dinner with the family. All three visits, the service, beer and food were great. The second visit ended with an issue. I called the next day to discuss it. I received a call back from the GM. She was very understanding and apologetic. She definitely made it right. No question; well be back. Thanks Camille.

Have been here numerous times and have had a great time each one of them. The nachos, poutine, and pastie have all been winners, and there is a menu full of other things that look appetizing that Ive yet to try. Excellent beers, Golden 7 and Memphis Flash being my personal favorites, but they have several different styles - a bit for every beer drinker.

My only complaint is that this place is not closer to my house!! The beer was excellent. Smooth and flavorful. Prices on the beer are great - much less expensive than Metro-Detroit. We didnt eat other than a snack but heard from locals that the food is really good. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Cant wait to go back!!

The Williamston Chamber Luncheon was there yesterday. Food was terrific and the staff was very attentive. Travis explained his training and experience. We are fortunate to have such talent added to our Williamston Community. The Old Nation Brewery was a wonderful experience.

Great beer. Nice staff. Ok food. The space inside for guest seating has a very high ceiling so, acoustics are atrocious. Dont go on a night when there is music. The music will be garbledy-muffled and you wont be able to hear conversation at your table.

Beer selection and pricing is great, but the food was mediocre. I ordered the grilled cheese and it didnt have much cheese on it, and the other time I ordered a burger it had the WRONG cheese on it. Appetizers are good otherwise.

First time at Old Nation and Williamston. I wanted to try the Sanders Bumpy Cake Ale. So good! I bought one to take home! Food was great and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit.

My family and I love this place! Great atmosphere with delicious food and a wide variety of beers. They are sensitive to food allergies and will work hard to keep their patrons safe! Try it and see; you will love it!

Come for the M-43, stay for the Boss Tweed. Old Nations New England IPA game here is strong by any standard; I would put M-43 and Boss Tweed up against Tree House, The Veil, and Aslin without hesitation.

Very good place, good beer. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of seating. High ceilings and slightly loud because of it even without a large crowd. Would highly recommend.

Great beer, food, and service! Came for the M-43 and it did not disappoint. Had the chorizo burger and it was great. Pretzel appetizer with beer cheese was delicious as well.

Great beer, good food. The service from Brandi was the best part of the visit. Wish we lived closer and could frequent Old Nation. Will be stopping by every trip down I96.

When they first opened, they had mediocre beer and terrible food. Now, theres some amazing beer and the food is pretty good. Definitely worth a visit!
