I went to Bread and Butter bakery looking for a simple sandwich place, but instead got the best chicken salad Ive ever had, and the best tomato soup...and I dont even like tomato soup! The tomato soup was the perfect blend of thick, yet creamy and tasted amazing. The chicken salad lettuce wraps were even better. They tasted fresh and homemade. They had the light kind of flavor that makes chicken salad amazing; with the perfect blend of ingredients to balance the chicken and its creamy surroundings. The staff was also very kind. Bread and Butter Bakery is not only a great place to eat, but also a great place to shop. They had some very cute coffee cups, dish towels, serving platters, bags, and other great things. The whole space is beautiful and I definitely recommend it for a great lunch.

I do not understand all the 4 and 5 star reviews. I would give it a two star at the most, the only good thing is eclectic decor. The bakery items are terrible, French Bakery prices and the quality is mediocre. I do not mind paying for the real thing, but everything I have tried from there is way below par. I have not gotten one thing from there that was a quality dessert.

Youve got to try this place! Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the people who work there are simply wonderful, too. My favorite is their mini quiche, but everything there is yummy; just leave some mini quiche for me, please. And if you need a pick me up during the day, the positive energy emanating from the Bakery staff will warm your heart. Dr.T.

OMG! So good...the coffee was rich and smooth. Food was fresh and delicious! Had breakfast twice and it was amazing. Just had lunch, not as good. Broccoli cheddar was thin, not much flavor. The raspberry thumbprint was incredibly salty; no sweetness at all. The pecan sandy chocolate thumbprint was incredible!

Great vibe and interior. Fairly friendly service. The coffee? Not well made. Burned the milk in the latte; most baristas who dont use thermometers tend to do this and here is no exception. Like others have said...its not a bad place but it is charging premium prices for medicore quality.

Addicting! Delicious! Comforting! My list can go on and on and on, but for the sake of space, Ill just say that moving the bakery directly on the square is just what Covington needed. This place is a gem, not only for its goodies, but also for its ambiance and service.

This place has great lunch options and really good coffee. I havent tried the bread, but dessert options are fairly mediocre. They do have a cool selection of beer and wine, and its a nice place to study and have a cup of coffee.

Perfect cream cheese Danish this morning! tossed a couple cinnamon rolls and apple turnovers into the mix and my house guests were sooooo impressed that little Covington has such an authentic bakery right in the middle of town!

Only went inside to get a coffee, so this comment is not in regard to the bakery. I have no idea if the person making the coffee was new, but this took way too long, the coffee was luke warm, and tasted mediocre at best.

Um.. the quiche was good but they give them to you cold and you have to heat it up in a microwave.:/ And the coffee is pricy and strong, real strong. I would come back only for a pastry.
