Horrible experience. Valentines Day weekend we had a reservation and showed up 10 minutes early. From the comments, vibe, and evil stares the hostesses were getting from the people around me, it was obvious it would be a while. After watching 3 other couples be sat before us that showed up after us with the same time reservations and a 30 minute wait I finally approached the hostess, couple of teenage girls flipping their hair, and asked for an estimate on when we would be seated. They said they had been looking for us (we were standing literally right next to them and making eye contact for a majority of the time) and we were finally sat at a paper-covered see-saw, or I mean table, that if it had anything on it would be great for sharing a plate as all you would have had to do was lean on your side and it would slide to you and vice-versa for your date. After shoring up the base of the table with our napkins I folded up, we met the one good thing going for the place, our waitress, who did an amazing job and is why it made it to two stars. Atmosphere was nice, the paper covered tables though ruined that, could have been a very classy joint if they would just use some linens. I ordered the BBQ burger which does not come with your traditional sweet BBQ sauce, but more of a tangy sauce, and my wife got the filet minion which they did not offer any sauces with other than the tangy BBQ sauce to help make up for the dryness. Wont hurt my feelings if I never step foot in that place again.

My husband and I (along with our two kids) decided to try Butcher and Bottle for the first time tonight. We had had their wings at the Rock and Wing fest over the summer. We were both disappointed. The chile wings were great as an appetizer, gave us high hopes that were quickly dimished. Filet medallions we ordered medium rare were raw, cold center- so raw the peppercorn "crust" was a wet rub. The creamed corn was good but very spicy- almost too spicy to enjoy. Green beans were overcooked. Our kids had the kids Filet and fried shrimp. Fried shrimp were very good, but my daughters Filet was also ordered medium rare and came out so raw/cold she didnt like it. For dessert we ordered the flour less chocolate cake which was good, but not news worthy and the mini donuts which tasted like what youd get from a kids cake pop maker. The service was good, no complaints about the waiter, other than that he forgot to mention there were specials which we didnt realize until a new table sat next to us. Steak knife they gave me was dirty (dirty and rusty...), as was one of the dessert plates which had someone elses spinach?! dried on it. Overall not worth the experience. Its a great location, beautiful interior, and great concept- but theyre dropping the ball.

I have been to Butcher and Bottle no fewer than 20 times since it opened so this is not a reactive review or based on a single experience. First, the food is phenomenal. Of the 100 or so meals Ive seen served at my table only one or two have been a little "blah" or needed to go back for some reason. The pretzel is my fav, along with my wifes favorite stuffed salmon and the inexpensive but always awesome Monday $12 filet. The problem is the customer service. On nearly every trip we find ourselves enduring lengthy delays for one or more phases of the meal - drinks, ordering, serving, follow up or the check. Weve also had a number of one-off issues such as the manager not checking in after a sub-par dish was sent back and no response to a catering inquiry. But tonight was the kicker - I made a confirmed reservation on Yelp for 6pm on Mothers Day and my wife was excited to eat the salmon. We arrived to find the restaurant closed. An employee I found shrugged his shoulders, said they closed at 4pm today and he was sorry. On Mothers Day. At 6pm. So we ended up at a chain. But at least the chain restaurant has better service. In summary, I believe some of the best food in town can be found at B&B but if you value service as well, look elsewhere.

Honest opinion....go to Goin Coastal or Downtown Kitchen....same chefs/owners but MUCH better restaurants. To start...the name doesnt match menu. If you tell me "Butcher and Bottle" I think of a farm to table restaurant with a good selection of unique cuts paired with wines or suggested drinks. This all would be accompanied by locally sourced products fresh to the season. But instead here you get basic cuts that you find at Outback with no suggestive pairings. The menu says "local" all over but what is local really when you there is nothing else that tells you WHERE LOCALLY they came from or are sourced from. Food was delivered luke warm as if it had been sitting for a while before serving. We got two appetizers (pimento cheese curds and fried jalapenos). Both appetizers were served fast and again luke warm which makes they think they are not cooked to order as you would expect from a "farm to table" concept restaurant. Entrees had decent flavors but nothing as good as you will get at Goin Coastal or Downtown Kitchen. So if you want a nice evening skip this place and head to their other two restaurants.

Mediocre and over priced for what it is. My wife and I decided to try a new place out for date night, and we had always been curious about B&B. Our issues started as soon as we were sat... out of a draft beer my wife ordered. Not that big of a deal. she switched to a similar brew and we moved on to appetizers. Lamb Meatballs, which were cold, bland, and a very small portion of 3. Next were entrees, my wife absolutely loved the stuffed salmon, but my filet medallions which were ordered "medium" came out rare. Not just rare, but cold center rare. Our server took the plate back to the kitchen, and returned with it 3 minutes later now over cooked. The manager popped by and apologized, explaining the kitchen was horribly busy tonight. Saturday at 6, no wait, and the restaurant is only half full... and the kitchen is "horribly busy"??? Maybe we just had a round of bad luck, but we wont be back. When pricing for entrees is in the $28 range, an expectation is set. Two filet medallions with fries, which the kitchen cant cook to temp is not my expectation.

I didnt really know what to expect when my family and I pulled in, but as soon as we walked through the doors, it immediately felt like a warm, British style pub/restaurant. The food was really good but my only complaint would be that we werent asked how we wanted our burger cooked (which came our med well. I like med rare) Maybe its just the way they do things. It was still delicious. The service, however, was the absolute BEST we have ever received. Drinks never went empty, food didnt take long, we were checked on just enough, and the atmosphere and music was comfortable and interesting. Our server, Pete, was attentive, energetic, and didnt act overly happy. She kept the evening flowing quite smooth. The kids even liked their kids menu food (which was made well and wasnt a piddly portion). Next time, my wife and I are getting the seared tuna. It looked amazing. They also had some interesting specials on certain days of the week. Does the bartender really sing? Gonna stop that day for a beer and check it out.
