Heres the deal. I dont want to call this place typical in any respects, but the bar and location carry the place. It is the easiest place to go if you are at a number of hotels in a small freeway setting. The decor is trying to get out of the 80s but it is a contract restaurant attached to a hotel...not much they can do. The bar is great, the food, in all fairness, is all over the place. Id venture a guess that the size of the menu is the culprit. They should scale it back and do a much more limited menu very well. So the challenge is to find the good amongst the hopeless. Appetizers are good, my fish was good, but everything else was barely average. The bread is commercial restaurant fare tossed in the oven to make it home baked. Butters and oil are not high quality, and I shouldnt even mention rice pilaf (it came with the meal). The service was very good. All in all? They are trying to be more than they really are, but if you are at one of the hotels and dont want to drive anywhere, this is okay. Have a few drinks, some appetizers and call it a night.

Conveniently located near several hotels and literally attached to the Holiday Inn, the Mill House could easily be complacent & ride the coat-tails of all the hungry travelers staying locally. Not the case at all. The Mill House had a constant short wait of guests for good reason. The steaks were everywhere. Very popular. Fresh wine bottles on the head of each table imply that its a popular beverage, though not necessarily the case. An excellent sales ploy though. We enjoyed the flounder stuffed with crab meat, while the kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and burgers. The food was above average and the music played softly was great (1980s). The only downside was our waitress seemed to be swamped and running everywhere. However, forgetting our glass of wine at the beginning of the meal was easily forgiven with unsolicited free coffee and ice cream for the little one at the end. All in all, a very good experience. The family and I would go again if ever in the area again.

First of all we, we waited 50 minutes to be seated which we didnt mind b/c we have eat at the one in Statesboro and it was great. We were finally seated and order beef nauchos for an appetizer and they came out chicken. I ordered prime rib, 30 minutes later they tell us they are out. A party of 15 came in behind us. They got their food, several more parties came in received their food. We just sat there waiting. Finally the manager comes by and says it should be a few more minutes, while others still continued to receive theirs. Finally after 1.5 hours we get our good. The manager offers us a free dessert. The four of us by now are frustrated and full so we order our dessert to go. The waitress comes back with ONE dessert in a togo box and bag for four people! We just shake out head and leave. My husband even had his Afghanistan Veteran hat on. I guess they dont care about their customers! We will never eat here again.

After a long car ride decided to check into hotel nearby & get take out. Called it in & was told 15-20 min would be ready. Walked over to pick up right at 20 min., not ready. Had to stand with people waiting to be seated. Very warm & loud in there. After waiting another 10 min was given order. Walked back to hotel to see they forgot a portion of our order. Called up in hope they could bring it over but was out in hold for a long time and I actually walked over there while still on hold & was faster to advise them by going there. Got the rest of our order. Food was nothing special. Ravioli sauce leaked all in bag. Caesar chicken salad looked nothing like on menu. Just lettuce & chicken. Was not offered paper plates either. Staff not friendly or apologetic enough. While I was standing there I noticed their rating in the 80s. So, I should have cancelled at that point. Definitely not worth the high $$$$.

Food is delicious, however service is repulsive! My boyfriend and I were placing an order for two entrées and dessert and we were calling since around 9:15 and the restaurant closes at 10:30 on a Sunday night. I did not get through to speak to anyone for 35 minutes. Once we were acknowledged, I was place immediately on hold and no one ever came back to the phone. I sent my boyfriend to order and pick up the food in person. He voiced his concern to the manager who did nothing and it wasnt as if they were busy at all I was told. Hed heard, while he stood there waiting for for food and to be helped, the employees continuously spending time complaining about how theyre trying to get the place cleaned up so they can leave on time. So I take it, your employees think the restaurant closed an hour and a half before whats advertised!!! If the food want so good, your rating would be a "1."

We stopped in here last Saturday night on our way back to Atlanta. It was packed and we were quoted a 30 minute wait but it turned out to be only about 15 minutes. My husband went to get me a glass of wine and came back and said "They only charged me $2.50 for the wine." It was delicious and in a huge wine glass. When we were seated we were amazed at the menu! Fresh fish, hamburgers, steaks, pastas....all sounded wonderful. My husband and I both had a great dinner. The Happy Hour menu is in fact a Happy Day menu as they have certain drinks that are specially priced all day. This place was a wonderful find and we will make it our go-to restaurant whenever we are in Brunswick!

This was our second visit, (headed back to Florida again) Dinner was again EXCELLENT, and dinner service was AWESOME!!! HOWEVER ... this time we noticed they served breakfast at 6:30am and decided to give it a try. I wish we had gone to Waffle House. We arrived about 6:45am . There were no customers - also no one at podium. We stood for 5 minutes, before we yelled for assistance. Another couple came in after us and the man had to go into the kitchen to get someone to seat them. Service was slow, some items of the food were cold (i.e. the toast) the rest was just warm, not hot. Once again dinner was GREAT ... DO NOT eat here for breakfast ... Waffle House is just down the road.

The service was good, but the best part of the meal was the bread. I ordered a 8oz. sirloin with baked potato and a Caesar salad. The cut of the steak was so bad to be almost inedible due to the three tendons running through the middle of the sirloin. Also, it appears that they had salted the potato after putting the steak on the plate, as the steak tasted like it had been rolled in salt. Speaking of the potato, while I can appreciate that it wasnt so tough or dry, but I generally expect the potato to be warm enough to melt the butter. I should have realized when the health inspection score was an 87 (B) that I would have gotten more satisfaction from Chick-fil-A.
