When the stereotype is mentioned that Asian men have no accountability t does not only apply to their men and Fortune Cookie on Briarcliff is no exception. As a customer of 20 + years, there was a time when I bragged that there was no better Chinese food in Atlanta.,, and at one time this was true. But, like many business owners, they grew old, stopped caring and their restaurant and the quality of what they offered to the public did as well. Delivery used to be spot on, they were always within 20 minutes of their promised delivery time. Now, if they tell you 45 minutes, you can expect delivery within 2 hours. When you call, forget an apology, the wife and the husband switch off with a purpose. If you have the patience to be put on hold for 10 to 15 minutes. their M;O. is to switch off. and the answer is always."so sorry, so sorry, I did not take your order", Of course you did not, and your food will arrive cold delivered by their son... So Sorry...

I order from Fortune Cookie at least once a week. This occassion, my husband and I deceided to go into the resturant. Hence I had already eaten for the day, I wanted to join my husband and order a small cup of soup. I was rudely told that the "rule" was to pay a fee of $5.95, to cover my "seat". My husband enjoyed his meal, but I was forced to order something that I eventually did not eat and took home. I think it is appalling that anyone would charge a meal price for sitting at the same table! Even though I explained that I was not going to eat anything and even suggested that she "watch" me to see if I ate. Great food, but this was a poor experience. I will not be visiting this restaurant again. Sadly, this has been a weekly favorite of ours for over 5 years.

Fortune Cookie is great for your typical traditional Chinese food. Their prices are a bit higher than your average Chinese place, but the quality of the food is really good and you almost always have leftovers, so its worth it! My husband and I usually get out of there for about $30 with tip -- that includes an appetizer, hot tea and two dinners (one with soup.) The pork lo mein is great and has nice big pieces of pork. Also I think their service should be commended, the wait staff is very attentive. I wish they wouldnt charge an extra $2.50 for brown rice, but it is what it is.

Best Chinese Ive had in the Druid Hills/Highlands / Emory area-- hands down. Prices are great for lunch but can run up a bit if one is to take ones family to have a multiple entrée meal. The male carry out promptly and are nice. Oh you cant get fried rice unless you go all in and order the $10 chicken/beef/pork/shrimp version. I recommend the cashew chicks and the sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork. Their Crab Rangoon are THE BEST BEST BEST EVER in my life but are more in the heavy side than the light airier crisped wanton shells other places may have... Love this place,

I called last night at 9:45 after an extremely long day at work and even worse traffic craving some Chinese. Looked around and Fortune Cookie was the closest restaurant. Knowing they were closing down in 15 minutes and asking for a delivery, they were still kind and got the food over to us within 15 minutes. The food was great, definitely high in Chinese at a lower price than other Atlanta options. I recommend this to anyone.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. The Hot and Sour soup was fantastic. I like this soup thick and with a ton of stuff in it. It was exactly how I like it. The spring rolls were über fresh. The fried rice had amazing taste and the sauce used on the beef and broccoli was really tasty. I forgot to mention that our server was very sweet and made us laugh a lot. I cant wait to tell my friends!

The food was good but the service was terrible!! They would not allow any substitutions whether you would pay extra and charged me full price for half the food when I didnt even get the rice that comes with the meal. They were very rude when we asked them about being charged full price. They offered no explanation and would not admit it was crazy to charge full price for only half the meal.

As I was eating, a water bug crawled onto my table. Obviously management covered my ticket. Unfortunately this will be my first, and last visit. Be sure to check their health score once you enter. Food was mediocre up until that point, nothing special. I ordered the Gen Tsos which w water, and rice came out to about 12$. You surely can find better food for that price...

The food is really good! a little expensive though.....13.00 for sweet and sour chicken at dinner but lunch is definitely a good deal because you get one egg roll, soup, crab rangoon, and your entree for 8.00, although i did come here with family one time we decided not to eat here and they made us pay for undrank sweet teas we ordered at the table before we walked out

Food: love to get curry chicken and rice along with pot stickers (fried), my guilty pleasure. My daughter loves the fish tank. This is an after work spot so its crowded from 5-7. The staff can be a bit more friendly even after coming there ordering the same thing for years Im still a stranger. Who does that to a regular of 5 years?

I ordered orange chicken togo and when i got home i saw some nasty vegetable fired rice which had no flavor and was dry, and a flat piece of breaded chicken with ORANGE SLICES ON TOP! Are they serious?! Not only was the presentation terrible, the food taste terrible! I was so mad! No worth the $10! So unacceptable!

Worst Chinese food I ever had! They didnt even have hot and sour soup, something every Chinese restaurant must have. The rice was lukewarm, kung pao chicken was so watery and tasteless! If you want mediocre take-out style chop suey, this is the place for you. Service was bad too, to go with the bad food.

I never even think about going anyplace else for Chinese food. House special green beans, twice cooked pork, pot stickers - my standard take out order. Portions are big enough for two with plenty of leftovers for lunch. Hostess always makes me smile - shes got an amazing memory and is always friendly.

The restaurant is full of fruit flies. The manager said they get them at night because the sweet and sour sauce attracts the nasty flies. She said it is okay to eat food where flies are crawling on the plate-----nasty! I am calling the health inspector.

Just another Chinese restaurant with nothing creative or out of the box to offer. Its the same yucky stuff in everything but with a different name. The food was very salty too. Perhaps this was my last attempt to try Chinese food in the states.

I use to go to Fortune Cookie 3 times a week for lunch when I use to work next to it. Now that my work has moved, I only get by there a few times a month for dinner with my family. The absolute best americanized Chinese food in Atlanta!
