I should have reported this to FDA or other organization too. I went to oriental peal on 6/11/2017 for lions club dinner. As I expected the food was not so good, I went there at least 20 times for different kind of events. One of the dish, fried flounder was served without the meat on the fish, you can see the back bone of fish was fried to brown color but meat was removed for two reasons. One is removed by the restaurant to served for other purpose. Second could be some other guest left over fish and recycled again . I asked the first waitress to change to a real flounder instead of "bone fish". It was overhear by other senior waitress, and she said no. But later on the first waitress brought us a new one with fish meat there. A table of $300 of 8 dishes course, you can not cut corner like that. I was total disappointed and disguised of this place. I will never go back to this place after 18 years of experience.

Me and a friend went to eat. Food was ok. Host was very impatient and rude. He was questioning about a tip for the paid bill. My freind said keep the $4 dollar difference from the paid bill. I told him i would leave him more tip on the table as I got up. He walked away to the other table then, walked back. In the middle of putting on my jacket, he made a big scene about a tip after i told him to give me a minute. This guy was so rude. Earlier, he was telling his customers that the hostess was stupid for seating them in the wrong section. Im guessing thats his wife? I observed as they moved 3 times to different tables. I would not go back there ever again. Worst service ever

This is the ATLs best option for dim sum, as evidenced by the huge crowds and big families packed around the Oriental Pearls large tables. Carts piled high with everything from curried chicken feet to shrimp dumplings abound, and servers are very good about describing the contents to first-time diners. If you go on a Sunday, go early; within a half-hour of opening, long wait times begin! While Hong Kong Harbor -- our second choice -- is much closer for in-town diners, Oriental Pearl is definitely worth the drive from Midtown for an authentic dim sum experience unlike any other in the area. Just go.

The best time to go here would be during the weekend during noon-time. Its super-packed at that time and you have dim-sum carts going left and right. Its super nostalgic for anyone who had dim-sum growing up. Also, its superb dim-sum. Theyre missing some of the dishes I love, but its still a darn good selection. Ive been here for dinner before, but its standard Chinese fare at ludicrous proportions. You get nearly two days worth of meal for ~$15. Its kind of crazy. The taste wasnt anything to write home about, though.

I took a couple of friends to dine at this place, the place was not full of people, and there are only about 3 servers and 1 boy who help to get drinks for us. During the whole entire time when we were eating, NONE of the servers came to us to check on our drink. My friend had to ask for more sweet tea from a pink shirt manager! There was NO service provided at this place just like a typical low class restaurant you see in the city, I will never dine at this place again!

This was my first Dim Sum experience. My friends loved it, and on Sundays its PACKED. BUT in my opinion, the food was just good. Im pretty sure there were better dishes offered, but the items we selected ranged from pretty good to pretty awful. Im definitely not a fan of most of their custard, and the duck is a little dry fried. To be fair, Im not really a fan of duck period. I will say everything that was wrapped (i.e. what I call an egg roll) was pretty good though.

One of the best places in Atlanta for dim sum! Been here multiple times each with good experiences. Service is great and food is fresh. We ate right when they opened at 10 AM on Saturday and all the food was hot as they were just prepared right before opening. Place is a little old and interior could do a make over, but that shouldnt detract from the wonderful experience you should have! And yes, they all do speak Cantonese if you are wondering!

Some of the best dim sum in Atlanta; crowded on weekends, but worth the wait, since once you are seated you can revel in the carts that wheel by on a regular basis with all manner of fresh from the steamer delicacies, ranging from the standards, like Shu mai and har gao to the more exotic. Friendly staff, comfortable seating; for dinner you can choose live fish from nearby tanks that will be prepared to your specifications. Delicious.

All I want to say is awful! The food is bad especially the shrimp dumplings and the noodles. The noodles are too salty and oily, and the dumplings are hard to move for they were sticky hardy with the plate. The food quality is not good and the food is not fresh, either. Besides, the time we are waiting for the food is way too long! Also, the server acted as she was the boss of the area. It was such a bad experience.

I had the dim sum meal, and I believe it was over priced for the quality of food (I may just not be a fan of actual Chinese food). The best thing we ordered was the kai lan with oyster sauce, but we also ordered a lot of other foods. My friends said it was very good and they were happy with what they got for their money, but I was not. There was tea that my friends also enjoyed but I was again not a fan of.

I walked into the place and was immediately turned off. It looked dirty inside. Once I noticed the 73 inspection grade on the wall, I hotfooted it out of there. When I went online to look at the past inspection grades, I noticed theyd scored a 41 in May 2014. A 41! How disgusting! The last three grades have been below a 73. Sounds like food poisoning waiting to happen.

Although many of the items were good, I was disappointed with the ha gow (shrimp dumplings) and the shrimp rice roll. The quality of the shrimp was sub-par and tasted fishy. The siu mai (pork dumplings) were great, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had the woo gok (fried taro) on a weekday - many places only serve this on the weekend.

this place is not open until late on a sunday. Not even close. Advertises to midnight, went at 9:30 pm and was told they are closing early. i could see if advertised as closing at 10 pm this would be within reason. Closing 2.5 hours from when you advertise is not acceptable. Will not come here again for this reason.

I really like the atmosphere here. We came right when they open so it wasnt packed until later. The food was a bit pricey for Dim sum but the service was great! The waitress were all very nice and really inviting. I would recommend anyone who like Chinese food. I ate til I was full.

One of the top recommended places for dim sum and it mostly didnt disappoint. Theres always a wait on weekends, and theres seating available for the wait. Had to park closer Atlanta Chinatown Sq since it was so crowded in front of the restaurant.
