My husband is a Chef and we visit this amazing restaurant once a month to get our Floataway Fix! The service is not the best every time we go in, but what IS the best is the food. Hands down such great food! We get appetizers, a bottle of wine, individual plate for each of us AND desert and it only comes to around $120 each time. Great value for the amazing food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

Ive eaten at Floataway at least 10 times, and it was always good to excellent. Last night, not so much. The bloody mary that I ordered was the worst Ive ever had, bland and tasteless. The server was, if not rude, not very pleasant. The duck was okay, but the french fries, which I ordered very crisp, came out not crisp. For $115 for two people, a pretty disappointing experience. Outstanding. Ordered the octopus and it was alright but the main meal we ordered chicken and hanger steak and both of those were delicious. The chicken dish was personally better than the steak (good flavor but a bit too chewy). Regardless of all this, the toffee pudding made this place worth a second, third and fourth visit. One of the best desserts Ive ever had.

Our waiter was more than accommodating and polite. Location was very cool, hidden away from the main road so felt very prohibition style. Inside the restaurant did not live up to that expectation sadly. Food wasnt bad but nothing to write home about. Definitely think this place would do better as a secret bar for locals based on the location.

We had a reservation and when we arrived were seated in an area without working air conditioning in August. We asked to be seated in an area with air because the restaurant was mostly empty. They declined and we left. I dont know how the food is but it must be good since they can afford to turn away customers.

some may complain about the spareness of this zonelite tuckaway, but no one can complain about the food. from georgia mountain trout to hanger steak, fresh homemade cheeses and artisan ciders, everythin here is superb. wine list always has some interesting options, too.

Surprising, lovely, hidden place in an industrial center. Octopus cooked perfectly though it was a small portion. Ricotta appetizer was good. Margarita pizza delicious. Great wine list and cocktails. Ill return!
