Not a great place for young professionals. My friend and I decided to try Valenza for the first time and will not be returning. On a positive note, the bartender was kind as well as the hostess. My main concern is with Stephen P, our server. He was nice for the first few minutes however that changed. He was extremely pushy about ordering drinks. I was with my friend, Desmond, who is a senior Director for a large firm here in Atlanta and a respected member of the Atlanta community. Desmond asked for a sample of one of the wines, Malbec. Stephen took a deep breathe and seemed irritated. He went as far as to say, "You know what Malbec taste like." I couldnt believe this. Desmond had to explain to Stephen the taste differences between some of the various Malbecs in order for him to understand why he wanted a sample. After returning with the samples, Desmond proceeded to order the wine. The server, Stephen, proceeded to ask for ID. Desmond did not have it with him but did have a picture of it. After serving both of us wine samples without ID, he refused to serve us full glasses. It is state law not to serve ANY alcohol without checking ID, not even samples. So why be so pushy about serving alcohol and then even serve samples just to turn around and refuse us alcohol? We understand the law, please dont break the law, serve samples and the refuse us. Just ask for ID in the beginning. We then decided to stay and we ordered the Salmon. Desmond requested his be well done. Stephen refused and stated, in his experience and the way that Italians cook, medium would be fine. Desmond and I have been to Italy before and know how Italians cook and better yet, Desmond knows how he like his fish cooked. Of course, the salmon was not cooked well however Stephen took 13min to return to the table and by that time half the salmon had been eaten as we were hungry. We didnt even want to complain as Stephens personality was just harsh and stubborn. When eating out, the food is important, the customer service is as well. We would not recommend this place and will not be returning.

Arrived bone tired after apartment hunting all day. (Mariott Century Plaza recommended) The hostest (sorry did not get her name) was very sweet and helpful in suggesting what I might want in my to go order. My wait was very short and the bartender was friendly in making sure to take care of me with drink and bread with my order. The food was fabulous! I ordered Linguini Nero and Capellini. Both sauces were exactly as described and the pasta was perfect. The shrimp were scumptious! Only thing is, please provide flatware with to go orders. Fortunately, the bar was open at the Mariott and gladly provided some.

Food was ok and priced about right. I had the carbonara which had a little too much oil, however was tasty. The italian egg drop soup was ok nothing to rave about. My real complaint comes from the price of the liquor. $11 for a ketel one and soda!!! I couldnt believe it - at most were talking $8 or possibly $10 at a fancy restaurant with a great martini mixer. Here it was one shot, not even a nice pour. Couldnt believe it when I got the bill. Because of this I will probably never return.

This restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations. We were looking for a good Italian restaurant close to the neighborhood and I think we have found it. The atmosphere (even on Valentines Day weekend) was pleasant and familial. The wait staff were professional with just enough edge to suit the restaurant genre. A little pricier than expected, but that may have been the heavy wine/beer/liquor consumption by my companions!

Tasty good quality food, great staff, and beautiful decor. They have a lovely romantic patio as well as cozy indoor seating. We had the octopus, beet salad, agnolotti, butternut ravioli, parpadel and cheesecake. All were very rich, flavorful and delicious! Our waiter was thoughtful and made good suggestions. The wine list isnt great. All in all this is a very professionl and well run establishment.

Good dining experiene with a friendly staff. The restaurant has fun specials each day of the week - each one is as tasty as the other. The squash blossom special and salad appetizer were great starters. The butternut squash ravioli was also tasty. I also recommend the chicken entree and the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. This restaurant was definitely good but not unbelievable.

We tried Valenza for the first time tonight and absolutely LOVED it. Our waiter Eric was great! He was incredibly knowledgable, and attentive to any questions we had (we had quite a few). The food was incredible. Everything was so fresh, and paired together perfectly. We live two hours away, and will most certainly be making the drive to dine her again.

Great fresh "farm to table" cuisine! Very similar dining experience to L.A.s best restaurants. I had the salmon, friends had the scallops and chicken. We enjoyed our dinners and the wine was excellent! The service was very good and Michael (the manager) stayed late to make sure we had a taxi back to our hotel. Very thoughtful and much appreciated.

Quiet restaurant and food was very good. However, I feel that it was way overpriced for location and setting. Since we last visited they have changed the menu for the worse. Drink selection is creative but difficult for the common cocktail drinker, and the desserts which we mainly went for are now gone for unexciting alternatives.

Its a shame this place doesnt have 5 stars because its off the charts when it comes to quality of food n service. We sat at the bar and Michael was right on the money with his suggestions. You cant leave this place without getting desert. Youre gonna love this place I guarantee IT

Valenza is as close to real Italian food as Ive experienced in Atlanta. Their FOH staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and everything is extremely fresh. Go on Sundays for the family style meal - great prices for carafes of wine on these nights too!

Very friendly staff with a well-priced menu. I wish I had the time to sample their wide variety of antipasti, but we only had time for pasta. Still delicious. I recommend making a reservation for weekend days. They are busy but timely in seating you.

Absolutely my favorite place to unwind, socialize with old and new friends, and enjoy amazing cuisine! If you are looking for a small place where you can disappear for several hours, then Valenza is your place!
