If I could give this place 10 Stars I would. The food was amazing! Im from Colorado Springs and several people Ive met including my mother/family who is from the south always tell me food taste better in the south. Well this place proved them right. The cranberry juice was even better than Ive had in Colorado and I dont understand that lol!! When we walked in we were quickly created by several members of the staff and seated. One of the employees noticed that my friend and I have been sitting at the table for a while and and a member of the wait staff had not come to our table yet. He quickly told her sorry for her weight asked us what we wanted to drink and brought us Waters and cranberry juice. There was some confusion on who are table belonged to period once that was clarified our waiter explained that issue and let us know that our drinks are on the house. I ordered grits with scrambled eggs and the waiter recommended the chicken sausage. My friend ordered the breakfast tacos and she had chicken sausage put in hers as well. I have never tasted a chicken sausage that tasted so juicy you would have thought you were eating a pork sausage but there is just a slight difference in taste, however the difference was good not bad. I was expecting to need butter for my grits. I needed no add ons they were seasoned perfectly as were the eggs and of course the chicken sausage! Our waiter along with several other waiters interacted with us throughout our meal not to the point of annoying but just to make sure everything was okay. Being from Colorado but raised Southern I grew up eating and cooking this kind of food. And I can tell you, you cant get this kind of breakfast in Colorado Springs unless you cook it at home! This meal made me feel right at home. It even had me thinking where is my mama at, is she in the kitchen because I know I didnt cook this!! This is definitely a place to eat at you wont be disappointed!!I

This was one of the worst restaurant experience I have had in a long time. The coffee and music were good, but everything else was terrible. I ordered the shrimp and grits, my wife ordered the Spanish Frittata. Our food arrived 45 min later. There was a layer of grease on top of my food and it was luke-warm. It tasted extremely salty! My wifes spanish frittata had no scallions or tomatoes as the menu promised. Just luke-warm eggs and cheese. I sent my food back, and ordered the Southern Breakfast. It tasted like a frozen meal reheated in a microwave. The service was poor as well. After taking our order she only spoke to us if we flagged her down and asked. We could see the cooks standing around in the kitchen doing nothing. The kitchen was dirty and the cooks are slow. The parking was bad too, but that is to be expected in down town Atlanta. The drug dealer stationed in the parking lot behind the restaurant was a surprise. He was there when we parked and there when we left, clearly selling things from the trunk of his car.

THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE SERVICE EVER AND THE BAD PART IS WE DIDNT EVEN GET SEATED TO EAT! It was a lot of favoritism seating going on today June 18th Fathers Day that was unnecessary and uncalled for. There was A lot of us in line waiting to be seated patiently and several groups of bigger partys came in and were seated faster than those who were already waiting. My husband and I watched the host very slickly five tables away to people whom he possibly knew. The turn around time for their tables are slow they dont use all their tables unless home boy is sliding unwaited tables like he did today and the customer service sucks ! Its sad that we try to support our black business but black business always have alterior motives! We werent the only one who saw that man give away tables and was questioning what was going on but it was all a joke ! We wont be back! Hopefully if you decided to visit your visit is a lot more pleasant!

I was headed for the National Civil Rights Center and found this place was just up the block. Many people standing outside waiting for a table. They use a texting waiting list. Host said it would be about 15 minutes. He was close..20 minutes. I had a chance to watch the meal service times of the other guests. This place is lightning fast!! The kitchen is open for all to see and I saw at least 5 cooks preparing the food. It was a big kitchen for the size of the place. Big kitchen = Fast service in most cases. I was seated within 20 minutes and the server was quick to take my drink and food order. I decided to try an unusual menu item. French toast breakfast tacos. Served in under 10 minutes and very hot. These things are awesome!! Flat French toast filled with eggs and sausage. What grand idea. This place held up to its good reviews. A must stop. Also close to Georgia Aquarium and Coca cola museum.

Waited 45 minutes for french toast and grits. The french toast was okay but they put pecans on it which wasnt in the description and so I had to individually pick each pecan out. The shrimp and grits had this disgusting spicy sauce spread all on top. I had 2 bites and I was like hell no and asked if they could take it off my bill. The manager argued with me saying it was the most expensive thing on the menu (it was only $9) and calling me out. I just sat quietly, listening to what he had to say and said sorry, Im not going to pay for something Im not going to eat. That made him even more mad but he did take it off my bill. I wanted to use Scoutmob but he flipped out and was like I cant do that since I took off that expensive item already. No tip or future business with them. I wouldnt waste your time with their poor service and average food.

Dont waste your time!! The food here was horrible! My friend and I had looked at the menu online and saw delicious breakfast items such as red velvet waffles, bananas foster french toast. When we got to the restaurant we found out they were under new management and they removed a lot of items from the menu. I ended up ordering the shrimp and grits which tasted like crap. The grits were very bland, no taste at all. The service was sub par. We didnt even receive real silverware (for my coffee, I was given a plastic spoon and I was never offered a refill). I definitely will NOT be going back, I mean seriously, how hard is it to cook breakfast food?! My friend had to send her food back, her breakfast potatoes were not cooked all the way through and her eggs were not good. This place gets 2 thumbs down from me, 3 if I had a third hand!

45 minute wait. No waiter for 10 minutes, no drinks for 10 minutes after that, we received utensils about 20 minutes after we sat down. Needless to say, service is not their top priority. Walls and flooring are industrial concrete and the r&b music blaring, so you probably wont be able to talk with your companions while dining. Kid friendly in the sense that if your kids have a tantrums nobody will hear it because its so loud. Food was basically beyond delicious. Fried chicken crust was well seasoned, chicken was juicy and moist. They have a new off menu item called smothered chicken and biscuits that has scrambled eggs that is just divine with a butter sauce on top. The waffle and pancake batter are spot on. You cant go wrong with any of the dishes, just be prepared to thoroughly wait for your food.
