Leave your tie at the office... Seriously... I know this is Bufford Hwy and I shouldnt be expecting anything different, but this was quite a "dining experience". Ive driven past thing place a few times and never went in because of negative reviews but today I decided that I was feeling adventurous so I gave it a shot. As someone who loves food adventures and chinese buffets, I was not disappointed. Clearly the show was better than the food, but it wasnt as bad as other reviews. Pulling into the parking not, you have your usual Bufford scene, packed, dirty with a bunch of taxis circling around. I giggle to myself as the sign above the entrance spelled "Pearl" wrong. Only later would it dawn on me why. By the door is a sign saying that they have over 200 different items... interesting... when you enter the place you need to pre-pay for your buffet! Epic! But judging by the clientele, I would probably do the same thing! Its a bit sketchy... It was $8 including drink... not bad at all, but it was primetime lunch... The buffet itself was cool looking in the shape of a boat, or a dragon, or something like that. The waitress asked me what I wanted to drink. I said water. She asked me two more times. I had to explain myself almost with gestures why I want water even though pop is included. Oh yea... the waitress was not asian either. Then came the food. Surprisingly it was not as bad. There are clearly not 200 differnet items, but the selection is not bad either. It wouldnt say the food was good, it wasnt... but it was not really that awful either. They seemed to have some stuffed crabs or something smothered in cheese. Those were actually pretty good... I had a couple and they were pretty big too. Those by themselves seemed to be worth the $$. They had seafood at lunch, which is rare. The meat was not that good but the Bufford location definitely influences the menu. There were a bunch of tacos and other stuff of the sort. The usual suspects were piling crawfish on their plates. It was definitely entertaining. Overall the food was that of a typical chinese buffet... nothing special... Looking around the place I realized that I was probably one of the three or so people that did not speak Spanish... there was a middle aged woman that was there with her husband and children that was very clearly inappropriately shaking her "behind" every time she walked past me. I felt sort of unfomfortable. She wasnt that good looking and her husband looked liked he could stab me. Really really awkward... The wall has a giant TV on it... playing ESPN Deportes... thats the first time I see that in the US... wouldnt expect it to be in Atlanta lol... but I was treated to some highlights of the Premiere League... fun times lol... oh yea not sure why its deemed to be a chinese/asian buffet... I didnt see anyone Chinese, Korean, Thai, Asian... anything lol... Thats where it hit me why the sign up-front said PERLA ASIATICA BUFFET! Overall it was not bad, $8, decent selection and a great great show! Definitely a worthy food adventure! Not sure if Ill be coming back, but I think there are probably still a few curveballs that the place hid from me this times around. Definitely worth going for the show and the stuffed crabs at lunch! Youll definitely have a good time!!!

I dont ever write reviews. However, my experience at this buffet was such an awful one, that I find a need to do so. If this review can prevent one single person from eating at this buffet, than it will have been well worth my time. My wife and I love to dine out at various restaurants throughout the year (about 50 or so a year). Sometimes it is great, sometimes it is all right, sometimes it is acceptable, and other times it is mediocre. This restaurant however, was so absolutely unpleasant, that my wife stopped eating after starting her first plate. The hibachi was terrible. They prepped my food and returned it with raw shrimp. The food seemed like it was hours old. Some selections were warm while others were not. I saw a worker come with a fresh batch of food (much to my excitement) but then she put it with the old batch and mixed it all together. This buffet is $9.99 per person. If it was free, I would not eat here again. If they paid me $9.99 to eat here, I still would not do so. I honestly would rather have 2 Maruchan than eat anything at this establishment. There are many other options within walking distance. If you are really hungry just walk elsewhere. I guarantee you, I will never again step foot in this establishment. Nobody was rude, the service was acceptable, but, and I cannot stress this enough, the food was absolutely deplorable. Do not eat at this establishment. Ever.

If you like watching fat mexicans feed 12 children during your lunch break then this is the place to go! Nasty Buffet food, just what you would expect from anything on Buford highway...mostly Mexican food but a few frozen asian entrees thrown in for authenticity. its like going to the circus for lunch, but you get a better variety of crappy food and all the freak show you could ask for and only 8 bucks!!! I recommend conceal carry for suburbanites, however if you can pull off the gangsta thug look you might make it and out of the parking lot unmolested.

Has this restaurant ever been inspected by the Health Dept? Before going to the buffet, I went to the (coed) rest room to wash my hands. The hot water handles had been removed on both sinks. I washed my hands with cold water. What about the employees? Food handlers? Do they use that rest room? Foods on the buffet, which were tasteless, and should have been hot, were room temperature. Foolish me. I ate it anyway and just prayed that I wouldnt wake up sick the next day. How are they getting away with this??????

Walking into this place my eyes delighted at a beautiful buffet with over 200 items to choose from. $8 with drink was a fair enough price for all this. I tried at least 30 items and was disappointed with all of them. Bland, cold, stale... and this was prime time at 12:30 on at Monday! The sushi and the french fries were the best thing on the buffet. As Im writing this i cant tell if Im full or sick. All in all I could not recommend this place. I certainly wont be returning.

Ive been to quite a few buffets in Atlanta and I have to say this is by far the worst place. This place is a culinary nightmare. The food was horrible, cold and some of it looked like it was sitting there for two days. I had to excuse myself from the table I was eating at to go to the bathroom because I thought I was going to throw up. Please step it up! Theres no excuse for this quality of food. I throw these type of pearls to swine.

Im glad I read the reviews before I dine in....I cant afford to be a victim of food poisoning rightnow...I dont get it why you people are bitching about this place and not reporting to the State Health Inspector or appropriate authorities? thats the only way to stop this shady restaurants from operating illegally serving hazardous food..It appears they are in violation of food safety compliance...Cmon be a good US Citizens now.
