Recently moved to Griffin a month ago and after reading the reviews, this restaurant seemed to be the best for the location. I usually enjoy holes in the wall better than big fancy places; however, we were extremely disappointed. The first time, we walked in 15 minutes before 12:00pm (did not really know their business hours), the door was opened, the big white girl behind the counter saw us, never greeted us as if we did not exist, she obviously had poor customer service skills because we had to come back at noon. When we returned (most people probably would not), we realized how dark and outdated the decor was. Their menu suggested that their customers are stupid, for instance it said: "if you want a large portion, say the word: large"...really??? Although the food tasted decent, it did not look very appetizing. The restaurant would probably do better without the 2 Caucasian, grumpy waitresses who can careless about their customers. We thought maybe they had a bad day so we went back a second time to experience an even worse service from the same 2 waitresses. They both looked unhappy, they never smiled, and even talked among themselves about finding another job. Will never go back.

I used to go to Good City constantly, and the food was amazing (back in 2014). Then I moved. When I came back in 2016 it had fallen off severely but I still went. Then I got sick immediately after eating there. The food was still good so I shrugged it off and went back (eventually), but it happened again. Finally, on my last visit, the food tasted off. The server told me it was common that they kept food passed date because business was slowing down and it all clicked in place. The restaurant lost quality and customers and has been trying to recover the costs by cutting corners. I am not about to keep getting sick because they are trying to cut costs. Shame, they were the best Chinese in town and the only place I would go.

Went from Southside to Northside Griffin to try their food. HONG KONG has closed and the only Southside place is, well, best unsaid! Any way, egg foo young was okay, a little overly browned, but the sauce had a taste I had never encountered. The sweet and sour chicken was great (said my wife) but why so little chicken? Main complaint: Wife wants WHITE rice, which she got with the plate BUT the large rice container was...BROWN and tasted like the Southside version of yellow. Service was okay, but in my later call to the place in concern for the BROWN (yellow?) rice was a sorry and come back, but I commented it was a long drive. Reply? CLICK! Fifteen bucks was okay price, but I will try somewhere else next time.-Doc Hendricks

My family has eaten exclusively at Good City for almost 10 years. The food is extremely flavorful and good quality. They have an excellent variety of dishes. The atmosphere there is an extremely friendly family atmosphere. Prices for entrees are fairly inexpensive and well worth the price. Our family loves the Teryaki chicken or beef, Hot/Sour Soup, Sesame Chicken, Szechuan beef or chicken, Twice-cooked pork, and especially the egg rolls. They have lunch specials for several dishes almost every day. Lunch specials provide plenty to eat and ample amount to take home for later. Griffin doesnt need another Chinese restaurant besides Good City.

Its ok. I cant really brag much on it since the folks there were not at all enthusiastic about my carry out order (over $30) unlike some of the praise that some other customers had posted. Also, the food was ok (containers were full on the 3 meals I ordered; however, half of each was rice, would have been nice to get more of the entree), again nothing to brag about. Quaint eat in area but again I had carry out. I live in a neighboring town closer to Atlanta, so just decided to ride out and hope to find a gem. Wont be making that trip just to try again. Can get avg quality/courtesy anywhere in the metro.

I went yesterday(last night) after class & an older Asian man greeted me ,offered me a seat,the Asianlooking waitress was like:"so your dining in then"?I ignored her bc obviously I was...then she brings out my order in a togo box &said "they thought it was togo...did u want aplate"? Me :blankstare...smfh.. Anyway they stared at me toomuch whilst there,thought that was weird.&some new white biggirl w/curly hair kept screwing up,so the Asian manager w glasses on kept scolding her in public...very unprofessional & annoyng staff,but what I ordered was good

Ive eaten Good City twice since moving here to Griffin, both times ordered by phone and picked up. The quality is decent...menu is your run-of-the-mill Chinese menu that seems to be the same at all of these types of Chinese restaurants. The food is perfect when you have that craving for Chinese food, although its hard to choose what to get with such a large menu! Service is very fast...food was ready to pick up when I got there, which was less than 15 minutes from ordering. Definitely not fine dining, but hits the spot when you get that craving!

Went here based on reviews. People must not know what good chinese food is. Small old storefront in old building in almost empty plaza. Halfway through my meal I went to add more soy sauce and found a hair inside the bottle. Food was not good.

My favorite place! Their hot and sour soup is the best anywhere you will go. The family that owns the restaurant have always been so warm and welcoming to us and we have ate here as a family for years... Kinda makes you feel at home :)
