I dont even want to put a star but couldnt post unless I put one. I ordered online at 8:20 to pick my food up at 8:45 PM. My friend also ordered the same thing at the same time, so its not that complicated. Go there and the whole place is already a cesspool of incompetence and poor customer service. The order wasnt even placed so the cooks didnt even know you were coming. Meanwhile another guy and girl are standing near the kitchen because their order was already messed up. Another guy informs us that he and his friend ordered 45 min ago and his friend received his order in 5 min and he still did not receive his order(he ordered the same thing). I was waiting for 20 minutes and I had to put in more time for parking which was a good thing cause I was being written for a ticket at that time. When I explained to the cop, he laughed and said that they had recently been getting complaints about this Tin Drum (whoaa news flash!!). Luckily, he voided the ticket. I come back inside. Order is still not ready and it has been 30 min. Another guy got his order, walked out, and then had to come back in cause they got his order wrong again. We finally get our order after 40 min (1 hour after our online order). As we walk out the other guy that was waiting and watching his friend eat gets his order too. But wait! They messed up his order again! I felt bad for the guy. They didnt even apologize or offer anything to any of us. Bottom Line: Restaurant is garbage and service is hot trash.

I go to Atlanta a lot for business. While I travel here, I eat out every evening. Tim Drum is a pleasant surprise to me. Situated near Georgia Tech, its primary patrons are students. Therefore, the prices are very affordable. The interior of the restaurant is small, basic but rather clean and modern. It is not a place you bring your most important business customers for dinner. The real surprise is though, the food actually taste very good. As a Chinese that came to the US in my adulthood, my standard of good Asian food may be different than a typical Atlanta native. Tin Drum has the most authentic Asian dishes in all the downtown restaurants I have been to. I particularly like their basil fried rice and Singapore rice noodle. Their curry dishes are also great. Another good thing is that their food is rather light. If there is one thing that I wish to change, is to expand their menu. I want to go there more frequently. But I do understand that a small menu is easier to control the quality, consistency, and the speed of delivery.

I waited around 25 mins for a one item to-go order. I had a crazy little guy wearing a black STARBUCKS hat ring me up. Talk about brand misrepresentation. I specifically asked for my rice to be subbed for spinach (as you can see on the receipt) because I have Celiac disease. After my long wait I rush to my car only to find out they messed up my order. I called to see about a refund and some guy cut me off and passed the phone to a team leader, which we all know have very little authority. She then informed me the manager was on a "conference call". Im sure it was something super important like the cost of tea in China. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone outside of broke college kids with a tight budget. I should have stayed in Buckhead for lunch.

I no longer eat at Tin Drum since I had some trouble with them. One day, at the Tin Drum located near Georgia Tech, I ordered food for eight people and we accidentally got nine meals, we thought it was a mistake on Tin Drums end and said we did not order the ninth meal. A couple of weeks later, while I was archiving my receipts, I notice that we did in fact got charged for that extra meal, so I went to try and get a refund or the meal I never received, and the manager at the Georgia Tech Tin Drum was sooo rude, that I decided never again to eat at any Tin Drum or bring any of my friends to Tin Drum or even recommend Tin Drum. The zeros in Food, Decor, and Service are because they are Fair. They are not Good, not Very Good, and certainly not Excellent.

I will preface this by saying I think uber-eats provides an excellent service, however my recent experience with Tin Drum was less than satisfactory. We ordered the coconut soup, teriyaki chicken, and chicken soba. The soba order was supposed to include extra chicken and when the food arrived there were six pieces. Literally six pieces of chicken. Both entree orders were cold. Not "delivery cold, thats to be expected. Like, cold after a ten minute drive. It had to have been cold when it was boxed. The soup arrived in a box. THE SOUP WAS IN A BOX. A PAPER BOX. Needless to say, soup spilled all over the contents of our order, but somehow the chicken was still dry. Unfortunately. our experience was quite bad. Maybe youll have better luck?

The portions are ridiculously small for the price of 8-10$. Once you eat one bowl (which the bowl is large itself but the food is small, occupying only less than 1/2 of the bowl.) you will be so hungry that you feel like ordering more food. Leaves you totally unsatisfied. The portion of veggies are very small, their plates are just a bunch of noodles or rice, nothing else interesting in them. They bring the plate to your table but there is no actual service, and if you complain about the food size, they make you pay for extra food.

Interior design was about the only thing good about this place. Interior looks cool and all, but food is terrible. I ordered sesame chicken, and the rice was hard as if it was refrigerated for a month and microwaved, which it probably was. Not only the sauce was awfully sweet, the whole bowl was swimming in it. Sesame chicken is supposed to be sweet, but this sauce was way too sweet, and with hard rice, I couldnt even finish my plate. Their food is overpriced for what looks like a microwaved TV dinner.

While the food is not bad, the person who runs the front of the house is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I was waiting for my to go order the manager was badgering the chefs. This person yelled at them from across the pass, saying "Listen to Me" 15x. At which point, one chef just walked out. This is not an isolated event and many of us who work in the area actually feel uncomfortable eating there because of the way the staff is treated. No more third and fourth chances till this person is reassigned.

I placed a to-go order of just san woon sen and i had to wait 30 minutes, no exaggeration. I heard the manager (or whoever was working at the front desk) tell the chefs twice about cooking my order but somehow I guess it was still over looked. At least the manager apologized for the wait, and when I asked for an egg roll she added that to my order no charge. I would be more understanding of the wait if it was crowded, but it wasnt, plenty of times there wasnt even a line while i was waiting.
