Never been here before but I dont think I will ever bother coming back. The place looked really nice ! The bartenders were friendly and the food was good but the service was horrible. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated (which we didnt mind but since the place was a bit packed) the girl at the front took us to a table that wasnt even clean ! She didnt even bother apologizing or anything. All she said "the waiter will be right with you" and walked away, mind you were werent even sitting. But what bothered us the most was that we saw a lady walking around CLEARLY we were able to tell she was a manager because of the way she was just walking around with her superior attitude. She didnt even bother to ask why we were standing or if everything was ok. But Im sure if we were white that would have not been the case. By the way, we waited another 5 minutes (standing) just to have the table clean.

Really good Octopus & Eel Nigiri. The Miso Soup was also absolutely delicious. Wasnt too impressed with the other sushi, but it could have just been the rolls we ordered.My boyfriend liked it a lot, but Ive had better. Also, Im pretty sure most of the wait staff was high. Not even kidding...they all looked kind of dazed and our server in particular seemed confused the whole time...well the few times we saw him. Another server ended up filling up our glasses and exchanging our soup - we ordered the spicy mushroom soup and it was waaaayyyyy to hot for either of us (both of us love hot stuff). Not that I wouldnt go back again, but if I did, I would try the hibachi or something.

Amazing atmosphere, perfect for a night out. The staff is fun and helpful. The private karaoke rooms are affordable when you have a sizable group, and its great being able to order sushi while youre belting out Bon Jovi thats synced to a Korean music video about a woman in a wedding dress. Tons of fun. Only downside is that the food prices can be high for sushi thats just okay.

Ive been here many times and have never been disappointed! Always the best and freshest sushi around! Ive tried many different rolls and they have all been great! Sitting at the sushi bar is great because the chefs give you a complementary special salad, sushi, and dessert! Cannot say enough good things about this place. If you want sushi dont go anywhere else in Athens!

I eat at Shokitini about once a week, and it NEVER DISAPPOINTS!!! Always keep in mind that this place is NOT a fast food restaurant; It also isnt a one-star restaurant-- the food is well-preserved and served by very friendly staff, who are eager to earn the tip you are about to reward them with... After the first bite, you will be hooked....

I sat at the sushi bar and was overwhelmed with the friendliness of the sushi chefs. Our waiter was also very friendly and attentive. The food is also the best sushi Ive had in Athens. They have a lot of unique rolls in my opinion that have incredible flavor. Definitely give this place a try!! Also, the fried rice is randomly super good.

My rating is based on their bar service. The mixed drinks are the weakest Ive ever had in Athens. Im not sure why the bartender would skimp on well liquor, but apparently they are too cheap to give a decent pour. Save money by either drinking somewhere else before or after Shokitini, but dont waste your time trying to drink there.

So very good! I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys sushi as much as I do! The very best deal is to sit at the sushi bar, where youre served complimentary salad, mussels appetizer, and fried oreos! Talk about a treat! All you need to add to that is a few sushi rolls and one (or more!) of their delicious cocktails!

Ive eaten at Shokitini several times and tried out several different sushi options, and even the steak, and honestly- its average for a Japanese place, especially at the prices some things have. Its usually pretty good, but not anything outstanding or Must Have downtown Athens fare.

The best (and freshest) sashimi in Athens. The wait staff were attentive and very courteous. Nice atmosphere as well... well definitely be visiting again. My only wish would be a private tea room for a more intimate experience.

Delicious! Sit at the sushi bar, free salad free mussels and free deep fried oreos!! Great sushi, great prices, i hate mussels and those comp ones were delish!! Seriously go eat here, you will not be disappointed.

This is my all time favorite sushi restaurant! You wont notice any funny smells coming from this place like some of the other Athens area sushi restaurants! Make sure you sit at the sushi bar!!
