I decided to try this out for lunch today, and was pleasantly surprised. I had never tried Japanese before, but was pleased with Yamato. I ordered the Yamato Chicken and an appetizer of Japanese dumplings. The atmosphere was great, with rich colors, ample seating, and plenty of lighting. I will definately return!

I enjoy dining here when I am able. The sushi is very fresh & quite delicious. There are quite a few varieties to choose from, and you are limited only by your specific taste styles. The soup & salad served before a meal are also quite wonderful. I highly recommend this as a fine eating establishment.

BEST SUSHI AROUND! I used to live in Florida and would have sushi for lunch every day. The sushi at Yamato is the best I have ever had! I always bring my family and friends here. Great atmosphere and waitresses. If you like spicy tuna roll try the Spicy Girl Roll, no doubt its the best!

Really love Yamato. Cant find a better place for sushi and Japanese in Springfield. just some of the waiters can be a little rude and charge the wrong price sometimes and wont change it because they have some excuse why its that price. Again overall Yamato rocks, and the food is awesome

Used to be at lunch with co-workers and takeout on Friday night. Not anymore!! Place has changed, for worse unfortunately! Dont do a special on rolls and then send 1/2 roll. Also, dont try to be funny and laugh when a customer call upset to complain about your dishonest deal!

My wife and I tried this restaurant when it first opened. We were both pleasantly surprised and have since been back 2 more times. great wait staff, great food, perfect presentation of food and establishment. the atmosphere is wonderful

THIS PLACE ACTUALLY HAS VERY GOOD FOOD AND A NICE ATMOSPHERE FOR BEING IN A SHOPPING CENTER. YOU WILL BE PLEASANTLY SUPRISED. YOU GET A GOOD AMOUNT OF FOOD AND THEIR PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE.
