Excellent burgers and shakes, but WAY expensive. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Tried to eat there twice. The first time we gave up because after a fair bit of time driving around in circles, we could never find a parking spot. Because of the small parking lot being shared with Trader Joes, it is stupid busy. There are no obvious alternatives for parking elsewhere and walking back, as all the other businesses up and down the street are tow away zones. If you arent willing to stake a claim by waiting on someone getting ready to leave (a tactic which I personally despise), you will never, ever get to park. You can sit outside and overlook the lake. Thats pretty cool. Burgers are excellent, but the patties are on the smallish side, smashed on the grill and cooked till the edges are slightly crisp. They claim their meat to be hormone free, so thats a plus. Buns are nicely grilled, but you dont get the huge selection of toppings like say, five guys. Fries were lightly seasoned. I thought they tasted like they had been fried with onion rings. Since they dont serve onion rings, I guess they intended for them to taste that way. Super chocolaty, chocolate shake was not very big, costs over $5, but was probably as good a shake as I have ever had if not the best. Did I mention it was really pricy? A burger, fries, and a shake are going to cost you about $17. That would be expensive for a place where you have a server....Sort of outrageous for a place that is really nothing more than an upscale McDonalds. If it was reasonably priced, and parking was better it might be a regular place for me, but to pay all that money for a little burger with all the parking frustration? Nahh....

American Express had an offer up on its website so we decided to try out Shake Shack and take advantage of the deal. However, when we got there, the manager at the front claimed that the they were not able to accept American Express cards due to an error, however, other cards would be OK. This occurred on two separate occasions. We went on ahead bought food anyway and it was great, but I do question what the manager told me. It just seems too much of a coincidence to me. She didnt even try to run the card and since it was the whole point of us being there, I was disappointed. The food itself was exceptional. The burgers were filling, the fries were delicious. I cant say anything bad about it. I even thought the price was fair, although, I wont recommend getting the cheese fries. My wife got more with the regular fries and the cheese made my fries a big soggy. The fries and cheese by themselves were excellent. Overall, the joint is good. Im just upset over the possible ethical issues at it. I might give it another shot someday, but itll be a while with many other places to try out in Orlando and the bittersweet experience Ive already had.

I have been shopping at Trader Joes since it opened. When I moved here, that was the one store I missed. This place is in the same shopping square (for lack of a better term) but Ive never tried it. So, yesterday I walked in to look around and try something. I tried their ice cream which is actually frozen custard. Wow!! THIS is the texture of Gelato I had in Germany (which they import from Italy) so many years ago and Ive never found Stateside. I tried their special flavor and it was amazing. As I licked away at my scrumptious Gelato-smoothe-ice cream, I wandered around. Outside, in back is the nicest area by the lake you can imagine. It is so nice and peaceful...and potentially romantic. Guys...if you want something your date with love, take her here for dessert. Order two (or one double) of their cones and sit outback by the lake or just stroll round arm in arm. SHE WILL LOVE IT! (Ive included several pics so you can see but they dont do it justice. ) Did I eat the food? No. But for what I had and the atmosphere, it is worth 5 stars plus!

Honestly, after trying their double SmokeShack, I was fairly disappointed. It tasted a lot like Steak n Shakes steakburger. The burger was definitely fresh but not really flavorful or good. It was also very flat like a McDonalds burger. Its OK for what it is: a burger. The fries were below average! They tasted just like frozen crinkle cut fries...very bland and meh. If youre looking for a new spot to try burgers, Shake Shack will do the job. But dont expect anything to jump out at you, it tasted like an overrated burger with an exaggerated price. $5.30-$9.64 is what youll pay for a burger, and the price depends on the burger & number of patties...but that doesnt even include a drink or fries! Fries start at $3 and drinks start at $2.30. Add all that up and for a meal youre going to pay at least $10!!! Too much hype, not enough flavor to back it up. I may come back and try the shakes though, since you know, theyre called "Shake" Shack...and that implies that they specialize in shakes....right? Try it, and move on. Nothing special here people.

The location is BEAUTIFUL! It has a beautiful view of Lake Killarney but that is about all it has. Dont get me wrong the burger was good but small for the price. You pay about $7 for a burger smaller than a Wendys burger. The quality of the burger was of comparison to Five Guys. The fries were about $3 and your typical ore ida crinkle cut frozen french fries which was a small serving for the price and what is even worse is that you pay $3 for a SMALL drink. When has it ever been reasonable to charge $3 for a small soda. I cant imagine how much their beer was. This place is not for your Average Joe Orlando Native but definitely for your Winter Park Yuppie. What brought me here was the view, what will bring me back here is a new restaurant with prices that dont take advantage of the view.

I found this place by accident. Ive been to the one in NYC over by Central Park. So I pretty much knew what I was going to get. Except the fries arent the same type I had. But I have to agree with a lot of people. At the end of the day the food is over priced and really meant as food for the yuppie/hipster clientele. I spent $18 for a burger, fries and shake. If it was better than a 5 Guys burger, I would be ok with that. But it wasnt. Throwing some cold red peppers on it, doesnt make it great. The view is nice tho. And the people there are all attractive and wealthy. Which is nice. Most places to get a burger in Florida either have rednecks or ghetto trash. But the food just wasnt that good.

The food is actually pretty tasty, its a shame their customer service is so lacking. They sell kids shirts but dont have a kids menu. So our kids are good enough to wear their clothes but not quite good enough to have a menu designed to provide food appropriately portioned to their needs. They even have a menu for your dog specifically, but not your kids; that really emphasizes how little they think about our kids. The cashier made us feel we were bothering her and since every other worker was just standing around talking, including the manager, I guess we were. So, if you are childless and are ok with being treated as a nuisance, this is the place for you.
