We went to the Olive Garden on Mothers Day this year (2016) and were able to get seated immediately. Our waitress promptly arrived and took our order. I was surprised to see a Ziosk on the table. That is the tablet looking device to order desserts and pay your bill if you so choose. This was new to me and I later asked a friend who works at another Olive Garden why they have them? I was told it really is for the customers convenience and peace of mind so they can pay their bill without having to give someone a credit card to run through out of sight. Getting back to our dining experience, We had a lovely waitress, Melinda, who took great care of us. I ordered an unusual dish from the menu that was a combination of cheese lasagna with a large cheese ravioli on top. It was very rich and filling. We also had the salad and breadsticks, which are always good and plentiful. This was my third time at this Olive Garden and the food and service was excellent. We then went to Olive Garden again, this time on June 3rd. It was such a memorable experience that I decided to add it to this review. So now there are two. Our server was a young man named Troy. He was very kind and tried to help me decide how to order a vegetarian pasta. Olive Garden used to have a primavera vegetable pasta which has now been removed from the menu. If you are like me and dont really want to eat a lot of cream and cheese dishes, the choices are limited for vegetarians. I asked Troy if he could simply put some vegetables on the pasta topped with the garlic wine sauce. Troy disappeared and In about a minute the head chef came to our table. He is a charming man named Kevin. We discussed my options and said he would prepare a special dish for me. When it came to the table I was thrilled to see the lovely assortment of colorful vegetables, especially for the whole roasted garlic which was tossed into the mix. I was so impressed by all the effort put forth on my behalf and very grateful to Chef Kevin for making my dinner so memorable and delectable. The sauce was light and did not overwhelm the vegetables. This dish was so tasty that I highly recommend Olive Garden add it to their menu. My dining companions each had the stuffed chicken marsala served with a creamy sauce and mashed potatoes. They both agreed it was delicious and quite filling. The service every time I have been to Olive Garden has been excellent. The effort to make each guest welcome and happy with their food choices is what makes dining at Olive Garden such a pleasure.

AWFUL! No One Cares Tried taking my wife out for a romantic meal after Church Services on Good Friday 4/14/2017. We normally go to the Olive Garden in Ocala but this night we decided to try the Villages Olive Garden. BAD DECISION!! The manager and server staff couldnt care less about their customers or the way they run their restaurant. Rude behavior, unprofessional and outright ugly. My wifes dinner was so overcooked and then left under the heat lamp so long it was inedible. We sent it back and were disgusted by the way we were treated and the quality of the food. We told the manager we were leaving and she said "Well we wont charge you for the eggplant" Like she was doing us a favor. It was awful.. There were a lot of other little things and signs that should have warned us. Being told to go sit in a booth and someone would be right over. The first person to the table said I am a waitress but not your waitress youll have him or her pointing to other servers. The Olive Garden in Ocala is 100 times better. The food is better, atmosphere is better and the serving staff are respectful, kind and engaging.

Every time I order to pick up I have a problem. If I dont check every single thing in my bag, something isnt cooked as I requested or there are items missing. Tonight I asked for my chicken parmesan to be a as thin as possible and of course, when I opened it, the pieces were really thick. When I called to complain, I was told that the chicken is pre-breaded and comes that way- all they do is rewarm it. And here I thought that everything was made in their kitchen! Also, I asked for light on the sauce, and extra mozzarella cheese and got neither. Also the sauce on the side that I had requested wasnt even included. I am not going to this Olive Garden again. It is very disappointing because I had gone to these franchises in other cities and states and never had a problem.

My wife and I went last Sunday at 4:30 and the food and service were fine but I drink only premium brands of vodka. I had 2 drinks and when the bill came I was shocked to see each very tiny pour of Kettle One on the rocks was almost $8 (not including tax and tip - and of course NO happy hour). I do know how much each bottle costs you and am not against your fair profit. But almost $16 for a measly amount?? Thats what I expect at a high- end steak house! From now on I will stick to my favorite places in The Villages which know how to make some profit while pleasing non beer/wine drinkers with a decent pour so that Ill return. See how it is done at - Carrabbas, Palmer, Lopez, Cane Garden, Bonefish and The Lighthouse. Disappointed, Lanny Austin

Starts off bad when you sit down, your husband goes to the restroom, and the waitress stops by and when you order an iced tea and she says no she will comeback when my husband returns...so sitting there thirsty waiting! Order extra lemon and of course didnt get extra lemon...had the pick three (steak med, ravioli, spaghetti ). Steak was rare...didnt see waitress to tell her till much later...was informed that they cant cook it more and she like her steak that way. Never cleared salad stuff off table till end of meal...meal sat in kitchen for a while...someone else brought it out...spaghetti dry, cool. Usually love OG but between waitress attitude and food wont go back for a while!

Ate there a few days ago with my wife. They initially wanted to seat us at a table, my wife asked for a booth. The host kind of rolled his eyes and eventually sat us at a booth. The waitress was nice, but slow getting everything out to us. Later after wed finished our meal and were waiting for the waitress to bring a to-go box for my wife, I heard her mention to someone (not sure who) that shed just been getting over an illness. Well wouldnt you know it, guess who wound up with a stomach bug the next day. Wont be going back there for a long time...if ever.

Not good! Many things wrong most of all this is consistent your prices have gone too high and you dont have lunch portions anymore. I dont like paying $19 for lunch. Food is very generic now. I live in a retirement community, and retirees are not going to pay that much money for lunch. Theres a hundred and twenty thousand people in my community and it should be a lot more crowded than what it is, when I first moved here that place was packed and now its never full. After today Im done bad experienc again. Its sad, use to be a great place for lunch.
