This is for the Riverview location: We will NEVER go back to the place again! I took my family here not long after they opened. We were excited to have a new place to eat out our way. First let me say, our server was fantastic. That, however, is the only thing good I can say. The food took an extremely long time to come out. We tried to be patient because we understood they may be working out some kinks. In the time we were waiting for our food, we got up to talk to someone we knew at the bar. While standing there the manager came walking out of the kitchen and basically yelled at us to get out of the way (I got the impression he was a bit stressed). Later, after our food finally came out (about an hour and a half) AND some of it was actually cold, I decided to finally say something to the manager. The response I got was unbelievable. Instead of apologizing and trying to rectify the situation, all he did was make excuses about how the place was new and that the kinks should be expected. Also, when I mentioned to him that he was a bit rude earlier in the evening he got very defensive and started talking down to me like I was a kid. At one point he was actually giggling, I felt like I was back in high school and arguing with a girl friend. I have never been talked to like that by a restaurant employee in my life, much less, a manager. And, on top of all that, the food wasnt that great. Ciccio Cali is WAY better and is less than a block away!

The location is awkward, but do not let this keep you away. Once inside, it feels like a great place. We went on opening week, met all the managers and the staff were all happy and excited to be there. Now that the buzz has died down a bit, we have been back several times. The interior is roomy, with several booths but mostly tables (which I prefer). There are quite a few TVs on throughout the room -- which I both think is nice for the big game, but also adds a bit of extra unneeded energy to the room. I personally would suggest they not have the TVs -- but again during the big game, I will be sure to want them. As for the food.. The ribs are some of the best in town and we have had ribs from almost every restaurant. The sides are all decent, and the salad is ok. The servers are all friendly and seem like they want to get to know you. Tonight we were going out; but instead, we got five racks of ribs togo. Went in and met the bartender and she was very friendly. Two-for-one specials on drafts and wells priced under $4 was a great deal! I had to drink my fathers second drink so the fourth beer was not ordered, so the bartender offered it to any patron that spoke up.. Quite fun. I would not say the prices are rock-bottom, but give it a shot --do not let the exterior keep you away. Ask for David as your server -- he seems like he really goes the extra step.. But then again, it seemed that way about everyone...

Great local place! The food was fantastic. The servers were all friendly and fast. The prices are very cheap for how good the food is! I would definitely recommend going on a Thursday when they have the Shrimp Poboy special. It says its spicy, but I would say its a mild spice. Its one of the best Poboys Ive had outside of NOLA though! And you cant beat the $6.99 price! Also, instead of bringing out bread and butter like other restaurants do, they bring out homemade potato chips with this amazing "Saratoga Sauce." We just moved here, but I can promise you that we will become regulars at this amazing restaurant! UPDATE: It has been a year since I wrote this review, and since this review we have indeed become regulars. The staff continues to be very friendly and patient with myself and my two daughters. My wife has ordered something different everytime and has yet to be disappointed by something on the menu. I continue to order the shrimp po boy which I reaffirm is the best po boy in Tampa! The atmosphere is great. It is family friendly yet, I have come several times without the children and have enjoyed watching football at this sports bar.

When we sat down they gave us a delicious free appetizer of home made potato chips that were more of a cross between chips and fries - absolutely delicious! We ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were crispy on the outside, juicy delicious on the inside and full of flavor. We did not even want to use the toppings, but they were yummy too. The caesar salad was creamy and cheesy and would have a perfect 10 score but it had just a touch too much garlic, but this can be easily corrected. The crab cakes were some of the very best Ive ever had. Succulent real crab claw was very visible and the texture was perfect. My partner had BBQd chicken breast with sweet potato fries. The breasts were juicy as can be. The fries were cooked and salted perfectly. Best of all the, the prices were LOW. I dont know how they can make money at these prices. The servers and manager were also really easy on the eyes if you know what I mean! Happy hour is 11am to 7pm...I think Im going tonite!

I stopped here to try this place before my friends and I were going to eat here. I ordered the fried green tomatoes w/ blue cheese and the sweet potato tater tots w/caramel rum dipping sauce as a take out order. I also had an IBC root beer. The tater tots were ok...nothing special, but about what youd expect....I didnt eat then all. For the fried green tomatoes I got 5 little fried tomatoe slices that were very greasy. I wasnt impressed with them at all. They tasted okay, but just too greasy and I didnt get much. The total bill was about $14 or $15 including a dollar tip. Kind of high for what I got. What I ate didnt give me any desire to return. Based on this visit my friends and I wont be going there for lunch. I know what I ordered was a little odd, but I just wanted a snack to try the place. I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 because of my odd choices. I may give it another chance on my own.

I ate there today for the first time after purchasing a gift certificate from Groupon, cannot say enough amazing things about it, didnt know what to expect. The warm, thick potato chips with dipping sauce they brought to the table were awesome. I did see others eating there and couldnt believe the size of the sandwiches, I had ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with french fries, do not remember the last time I had such a delicious chicken sandwich. My husband ordered chicken wings and they were huge, very surprising that he couldnt finish them, had gotten a box to bring the rest home. I was very impressed with everyone there and the food, upset that I never ate there before today, live very close to the restaurant...cant wait to go there again.
