So I had my heart set on some good Chow Mein tonight. Ive been in Tampa for 2 years and I havent had any chow mein worth having. So when I saw the good reviews on the Asian Wok, I thought GREAT, maybe I can finally get some! WRONG. It arrived as a pile of tasteless goo. The chicken was soggy the vegetables were liquefied and just the sight of it turned my stomach. They were too lazy to actually make fresh fried rice. No, they must have a vat of plain fried rice and then they sprinkle on a few pieces of cooked pork when they throw it in the Styrofoam box. The egg rolls were nice and crispy on the outside, but the inside was mushy and bland. I kind of liked their General Tsoas... but it was supposed to be hot. I mean, thats what the little hot peppers on the menu are SUPPOSED to mean... Ive had better food in the mall. The service was good and they were really quick and you get a lot of food for the money... if you can find food worth getting.

I have been meaning to review this great Chinese restaurant for a month or so now. My first meal here was so good, that I thought I would have to rate this place the best I have had here in the states. But, I thought it unfair to review the place after only one visit. After all, one good meal, or bad, doesnt make for a valid reivew in my mind. So, I have gotten take-out from there 7 times, and have not been disappointed. First, each order has been correct, which is really important especially with placing orders over the phone. Food is always hot, always fresh, and has been very tasty. I have had the sweet and sour chicken, Gen. Tso, Mongolian beef, salt pepper chicken, Cashew chicken, Kung Pao chicken, and Szechuan shrimp. I intend t try it all. My favorites are salt pepper chicken and Gen. Tso. This is a really great place to get take-out. Definitely worth continued patronage.

I have eaten here 8 or 9 times since its opening. It is great food, all home-made (dumplings, wontons, eggrolls, etc.) with above-average taste. GREAT hot & sour soup!! Also, good prices for the quality of food you receive. They are a little difficult to find -- they are in the same shopping plaza as the CiCis pizza that is on Fowler just East of 56th street (behind Applebys). CiCis is on one end and this place is at the other end -- kind of behind the Circle-K. So, if you are in the Temple Terrace/USF area and looking for some delicious Chinese food in a comfortable little restaurant, the Asian Wok is the place to try!

Food was ok, but oh boy - they try to con you with billing u items u didnt order. We pointed that out and they fixed it and we were the only folks in there so I thought they were trying to con us. The next time we went back a week later and they recognised us. This time they tried a different trick - items in bill were correct. However., they overcharged us with higher prices. Fortunately my Brother noticed the prices were different and asked for the menu and pointed out that the bill amounts on all items were higher by $2 each. Total rip-off. Thats the last time I went there.

My bf and I order from here at least once a week, and have NEVER been let down. Weve tried about 20 items on the menu, and not once have we been disappointed. The egg rolls are so fresh and crisp, they really are the best Ive ever had. My favorite items on the menu: florida orange chicken, shrimp w/ garlic sauce, hunan pork, salt pepper chicken, general tsos chicken, hot and sour soup, and szechuan chicken. They give you very big portions, everything is always very hot, and the food taste much better than any generic chinese take out. Everyone should check them out!

The food is decent. Seems to have gotten better, the past few times i have ordered. I have not eaten in yet, but I order delivery. Glad they got rid of that Spanish delivery boy. I live 2 miles from the restaurant and delivery time would be 1 hour 30 to 1 hour 45 even though the girl on the phone told me 45 minutes to an hour. Worst part is he was rude, never apologized for lateness. The young Asian delivery guy that delivered to me the past few times was promt and curtious. I will not hesitate to order delivery anymore

my family and i have been going there since they practically opened, the food has always come out quick and in order (apt first main course second) the food itself always tastes really good and the people there are very kind, they come out regularly to check on you and they make sure the customer is happy, to be honest im sure most of the negative reviews are people who were just trying to get free food and that didnt work out so they got upset(i work for a thai restaurant so i know how it goes)

The best takeout I have had! I love chinese take out and it wasnt until my junior year in college when I found this place thanks to Google. The rice is fresh and not that crunchy yellow rice with fake vegetables. The rice here is fluffy and has actual chunks of real pork. It doesnt have vegetables, but that is the only downside. The chicken is fresh and I have never gone anywhere else since I found this place. All of the other chinese places are basically the same except for this one.

This place is a rip off, I just called to place order for delivery it came up to $13.62 without taxes, she told me it had a minimum order purchase of $15 so I added a soda for 1.25. That came up to 14.75. She say that still wasnt enough to sum up this review after you order the minimum amount doesnt include taxes which would have made my order go over the$15 minimum...So adding2 sodas took my order from $13-15 to $20 and change.

Dined in. Great service, and our meals arrived quickly. I ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles extra spicy. It wasnt very spicy, but had a wonderful taste....all of the proteins tasted fresh...and a really nice sized portion. My girlfriend had the General Tsos chicken. Again, not as spicy as we like, but good flavor and a healthy portion. A beer license would be good....I really wanted a Tsing Tao. Well be back!

Always fast and friendly service with consistently piping hot and delicious food. My usual order is General Tsos Bean curd and the tofu always comes crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I also love the crab Rangoon and beef on a stick. Much higher quality food than the other Chinese food places and very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. I have never gotten a cold meal delivered.

Delivery drivers are very polite as well. I recommend this chinese to anyone in the 33617, And if you dont live within the delivery distance i definitely suggest you pay a visit next time your in the area.
