Ive been here several time. My most recent trip was not one Id brag about to friends. First off, this is the first visit Ive had to this diner in several years. I stopped because they advertised a free slice of cheesecake on their sign, if its your birthday. This is not completely true. You need to order an entrée to get the free cheesecake. I was not alone, and I even offered to buy a bowl of chili despite the fact I didnt want to eat it, and this did not suffice. Their sign made no mention of this little hang up, and my server was less than sympathetic about the blatant false advertising. Thats just a pet peeve, my main concern is the pricing. Their menu is definitely overpriced for a diner, and the fact theyre in a rural area is flat out discriminating when it comes to costs. A diner like this is open 24/7, but they dont have a lunch menu. When I inquired about the huge prices the managers reaction was "the portions are big, they can take it home if the want". Seriously, who wants to pay 12 dollars at lunch for meatloaf? Theyre charging dinner prices at non-peak hours and nothing on the menu youd consider a meal is less than 8 dollars. Its a shame. Their cheesecake is what attracted me, so despite the fact I had to buy my slice I got one with my mate along with a diet coke. The cheesecake is wonderful tasting, but the crust resembles a pancake. The filling is nearly five inches tall, a hefty slice, but the crust is nonexistent. The graham cracker crust is the cheapest part of a cheesecake, so where was it? On top of that the price was as idiotic as the rest of the menu. For 1 coke and 2 pieces of cheesecake I paid 18 dollars. 18 dollars, can you believe that? The cheesecake was 6.99 a slice, for a dollar more I couldve gotten a dinner and gotten my dessert for freaking free. The prices here are ridiculously high and not worth attending for. If they werent surrounded by hotels this place wouldve gone under ages ago. The food is great but not for the prices they charge, especially with 10 resturants within walking distance of it. I give the Broadway Diner a 2 our of 10. It took 10 minutes to deliver my cheesecake (which was premade), the prices for entrees are terrible, and when confronted about their lack of early bird specials or even a basic lunch menu the managment was completely unreceptive. This place should have gone under with the fire that kept it closed for so long a while ago, because they dont understand the most basic elements of running a proper diner. Theyre convinced they are more than that, and they certainly are not.

Save your money! The customer service was not very good. I will say that it was not the waitress fault, that she and one other person was working tables; while there was a flood of customers, so I will let that slide. Since I had never eaten there before I asked my waitress for suggestions, from those I chose the fish and chips with a greek salad and my fiancee ordered the chicken bulgogi. We waited for almost 45 minutes to get our meals, while others who came in and ordered after us seemed to be receiving their meals ahead of us. After sitting there for 40 minutes with no one communicating with us the other waitress finally comes over and ask if she can get us anything. I replied, well we have been waiting a while and we have not received our order. She assured us that our food was coming off the grill as we spoke. Five minutes later our waitress brings them over. Then I realized I was missing salad dressing and my fiancee was missing the most important part of his meal, the chicken. She comes back and ask if we needed anything I tell her about the dressing and his chicken. She brought everything back to the table about five minutes later. The food was horrible! My french fries were not done and my fish was over cooked and greasy! My fiancees chicken tasted ok to me, but he didnt like that it was served with raw onions, they were supposed to be sauted. His vegetables tasted as if the had been defrosted and then cooked! Neither one of us finished our meals, nor did we take any of it to go. I had noticed when we arrived they had a variety of cakes that looked really good and I planned on getting a piece to go, but after the food ordeal I decided to pass.

I took my family to this diner for lunch, we met my fiance there for his lunch break not my first time here, usually I order my food to go. We were seated and then our order was taken....or so we thought. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and a sweet tea, my fiancé ordered the same. my children ordered the same as well. the food came out pretty quick but she only gave my son his food exactly the way he ordered it. However my fiancés platter and myself had only a burger so we asked are the fries coming out soon. The waitress proceeded to tell us that we did not order fries my son was the only one who did. I told her we always order fries with burgers no matter where we go. she said well I can put an order in for fries. she told us it would not take long but we had already finished our burgers when the order came out. I asked for the manager who was also no help whatsoever. her response was well you did not order any fries I informed we did then she said here they are I said we have already finished our meals we dont want the fries now. the total for two burgers and a kids meal with 3 drinks (not included with meal) came to a total of $32.00. The manager had a "we can do no wrong" attitude and interrupted me several times saying "anyway" every time I tried to explain the situation. she seems to think that because the food was freshly made to order that everything should be fine. Horrible service and even worse service from management.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever went to & I will never go back! I asked for a hot pastrami sandwich on a roll, not on rye along with onion rings. On the menu, its supposed to come with lettuce & tomatoes, coleslaw & a pickle. After waiting for 30 minutes, the waitress comes back with regular sandwich bread with meat that looked like it was stale & they got it out of the grocery store with no mayo, mustard, nothing. It seemed like they said well this is all you are getting so tough luck! I looked at it & told them I didnt want it so I ate nothing! They are the most ignorant human beings & they should not be running a restaurant. The waitress was new so she didnt care. Then they send someone over to talk to me & the lady looked like she was high on something, said that "oh if she was waiting our table that she would have told us about another pastrami sandwich which they would have added saukerkraut. She said that the sandwich itself is horrible & she would talk anyone out of it. My thing is why do you still have it on the menu if it is so horrible??? I told her it was my first time & my last because I will never be back! They didnt seem to give a crap or compensate me or at least give me something free to win me over but they just went about their business like tough luck b#@Th! Really??? NEVER AGAIN!!! Dont go there if you want good service or good food!
