I cant even count how many times Ive been to Bada Bean. My boyfriend and I keep coming back because we love the food and the coffee bar. However, their slow service almost negates all that. Unless you come after noon, you will have to wait, outside, for a table for probably 30 minutes. Whenever I do go inside, I always see empty tables. This is very frustrating. The servers are normally quick and so is the kitchen, but there have been occasions when we have to wait because the kitchen is backed up and then we sit waiting and watching person after person coming to pick up a to go order. So once I tried to do that. They made both of the items I ordered wrong and I had to wait 15 mins for them to remake it. I get that they dont want to open another location, but they need to expand somehow. They need to stop doing pick up orders when they cant handle the demand from the restaurant itself and they need to hire a different hostess.

Unfortunately their service this morning was atrocious. The host wrote our party number down but apparently never wrote the name. He then left and the next server did not know we had been waiting for awhile for a seat. We were skipped over several times for being seated on a 3 top and when I asked why a group of 3 that arrived after us had been seated before us, they insisted we were wrong and that the other group arrived before us. We saw that group arrive 20 minutes after us. They were very rude to us about how wrong we were and told us how long we had been waiting. They didnt properly treat the situation and we left since we had waited for 40 minutes to be seated and was told another 15 minutes. Its too bad they were this rude since it was a favorite breakfast in town, wont give money to a business that is clearly disorganized and not willing to work with customers considering how patient we were being.

I think our first mistake that we came wanting lunch. Its definitely more of a breakfast place. I ordered a wrap and it was very plain, made better only by a side of Greek dressing and boom boom sauce. As my side, I got the potato salad and there was absolutely NO seasoning - I added salt and pepper and it was immediately improved. Still very "basic". My boyfriend got the cheesesteak sandwich and he said it was nothing special. He got the steak fries and we both loved them. He also got one of the specialty coffee drinks and we enjoyed that as well, but I think it was over priced (similar to Starbucks prices). Our service was excellent and even though we went at a busy time we got our food very quickly. I think well need to come back to try breakfast.

No complaints with the food. I had the garden skillet, which was served on a fajita skillet. Great presentation, very tasty and very hot. The vegetables were cooked just right; soft enough to bring out the flavors without being mushy At 7:00, the place wasnt crowded, which is a good thing as its a small, cramped place. I think it would be a bit of a jumble trying to get coffee when the place is full. My one concern is with cleanliness. It took 4 coffee cups before the server found a clean one to bring to me. Having syrup and other things on the cups when theyve just opened makes me wonder how they clean their dishes. Overall, great food with an extensive breakfast menu, but a cramped, old , not the cleanest location.

My co-workers spoke highly of this place so I decided to give it a try as take-out! The ham melt bagel was delish only to discover the server stole money from me! A few days later, Im checking my activity on my account, and the charge for my bagel melt was $5 more than what it should have been. The worker at this business took it upon themselves to add an additional tip to my charge receipt! I spoke with the manager, Wendy, and got it squared away, but that was a no-no! Great food, but bad business! Theres no telling who else besides myself is a victim to this! Please, folks, if you go to this place, pay with cash!!

I didnt have the heart to complain about the poor coffee, a bad version of a watered down latte (though we both ordered cafe con leches) because the hostess was complaining to US about the barista, complaining TO the barista about the barista herself, and gave us personal insight on the business and her coworkers through a long, hard whine conducted throughout the duration of our sit down stay. The "equal parts espresso and sugar" which resembled more like what may have come from a backed up garbage disposal was, unfortunately, the best part of our coffee date at this location.

Bada Bean is my favorite breakfast/brunch place in Tally. Since it gets busy on the weekends, theres often a waiting list, but theyll give you a mug for coffee while you wait! The coffee is buffet-style, so you can get a refill as soon as your cup runneth empty. Tallahassee Morning is my favorite coffee flavor there - its a blonde roast that is absolutely delicious! Their portions are generous, their food is piping hot and fresh, and the whole place has a relaxed feel.

I have been so nostalgic and hungry for some good Mamaw-level Southern cooking since moving here 5 months ago. I have to say this has been the best place Ive eaten in this city yet. I got the pot roast dinner and my boyfriend got The Bodyguard (eggs and steak meal with two sides). It was very affordable. We were a bit short today but cant wait to drive by a great tip later. The service was also so hospitable and conscientious and awesome. Thanks, staff.

I want to tell you not to go there, but thats because its so delicious I want it all to myself. Iced coffee is amazing. The croissant is fantastic. It has the best eggs benedict in town. There isnt anything Ive had here that I dont like. The best part about brunch here is the price. A meal for one is the same as a meal for two here. Plus, you can call in an order and have it ready for pickup when you get there. I would eat here everyday if I could.

If you like coffee this is the place. The place is a play on words as they are decked out with classic gangster memorabilia. The place is not that big but felt cozy. Staff was prompt and pleasant. The skillet I got was big and full flavor. The country fried steak that my partner got was also tasty. The way you get coffee is a bit different as it is self serve for drip. They did have other espresso and smoothies. Will definitely go back.

I usually love this place but I went yesterday and we found hair in our food. The waiter and the manager/owner didnt seem apologetic. My friend lost his appetite and didnt eat his food and the manager was rude when I explained that the hair made him lose his appetite and how it was unsanitary. I will not be returning. They ended up not charging him for the omlette after I insisted that he was not going to eat it.

Honestly the best breakfast/ brunch in all of Tallahasee. The food is delicious and creative while the atmosphere is homey and the servers are friendly. Try the Garden Skillet or Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, they are amazing! The only downside is that the restaurant is kind of small so can get really busy in the late morning/ early afternoon on the weekends, so there can be kind of a wait at times.
