Weve been to this restaurant 3 other times previous to this one. Our first visit was impressive so we kept coming back. However, each subsequent visit after the first one went downhill fast and today was our last visit and we wont be back. Absolutely horrible service. After a lengthy wait to order and get our bfast( in all fairness they were busy) our bfast order came out wrong, had to send the eggs back & they came back the 2nd time just as runny, didnt order bacon and got bacon instead of sausage, had to request our toast after 1/2 our meal was gone. Waitress never once stopped by to check on us, offer to refill our empty beverage glasses, zip. The cook needs to go take a remedial cooking class because hes clueless as well. By reading some of the other reviews on here it sounds like its a common problem. At least in our previous visits the service was at least acceptable but the meals were not very impressive for the price (weve only frequented The Depot during breakfast and usually only order bfast menu items) This time the service sucked and so did our meals. 3 strikes and theyre out, well be taking our business elsewhere from here on out and wont be back to try a lunch or dinner item off their menu since they cant seem to figure out how to make a decent bfast.

Place is horrible and racist!! My family and I decided to take a quick trip out of town to try a new restaurant on August 17 2016. Upon entering I felt a bad vibe...my family includes my Caucasian fiance our 3 mixed children and myself (a black woman) we got dirty stares from the cook, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable. We decided to order for the children first before ourselves since we couldnt decide what we wanted. Upon the food arriving to our son he pushed it away and said "I am not eating that!" We asked why and proceeded to look at the plate to discover it was FULL of live maggots!! I have NEVER in my life been so DISGUSTED with a restaurant. Being that we are frequent vacationers and have been to plenty! I can not believe that ANY ONE would let a person eat live maggots let alone NOT check to make sure food is up to guest satisfaction! I will NEVER go back to this place AGAIN! N I WILL be sharing this on my social media page in order to make others aware of the treatment and service people whom are not what they may call " the norm " get. HORRIBLE!!

This is a charming local diner, set in an old train depot next to the tracks. The Depot Diner has stood the test of time, due to good food, friendly service, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. Daily specials are good and typically home-style fare (e.g., goulash, chicken, etc). Good breakfast. Menu is quite broad for a small town restaurant with some items for healthy eaters too. Has a really nice small town feeling. Finally, I dont agree with the reviewer who says its slow. Speed seems generally average to me, so that person must have had a single bad experience.

Food portions are large, but the prices are small. I order the HeMan every time. So much food you could share it. Ive been coming for nearly 20 years. The servers havent change much in all that time. They watched me grow up and now watch my children grow also. Its a local favorite with a very established tradition. Certainly a great "Old Haunt" for family memories. Church crowds love this place, so come before 10 on a sunday, or be prepared to channel your inner ninja to get a table, because this place is strictly "seat yourself."

Food is ok. service is below average. Biggest problem we had was we went for the Friday night fish fry, Got there about 40 minutes before closing and by the time the waitress came back and we asked for a second serving of fish it was 5 minutes before closing time and she said they were out of fish. No sorry, no discount even to the price of the single order of fish. The fish was pretty good, what we got of it. The salad bar is not good.

I disagree with the review entitled Drive Anywhere Else. Great service from a friendly staff, The Heman breakfast and the Fish Fry are both excellent meal selections having tried them myself, and I hear as well the Pizza Buffet is awesome. Small restaurant just gives the environment a personalized feel to the experience.

Great, cute place. Food was good, service was average, atmosphere was somewhat loud (not a bad thing) as it is all in one open space. The place was crowded the whole time we were there (Sunday afternoon)! People seem to love it and its not difficult to see why.

The best country homestyle food in the area. Friday all you can eat Cod fish fry is amazing as are the sweetpotato fries. Everything is fresh and homemade...Even the jam for their amazing bread. I love the rye.

The food is good, and the employees are friendly. The service is usually on the slow side, but overall is fine. Its one of the few options in the area and all in all I would recommend it.
