I ordered a beer and was brought the wrong beer. Then our waiter made me prove to him that I actually ordered the beer by showing it to him on the menu, like I just made it up. Then there sign and eye roll.Turns out they gave an old menu, no big to me but making your costumers prove what they ordered is just wrong. I did not want the beer he brought so I decided not to drink. This was strike one. Strike two was our waiter giving us a dessert menu and never coming back to take an order. I am talking 20 minutes easy. Our waiter wouldnt even look at us. We had to ask the host to help. She was amazing too! Wish we had her the whole time as a waitress. Strike three was our waiter making comments to staff helping fold silverware in napkins by the dessert. Then all of them looking over at us and laughing as he finally brought us water. Which we needed refills for some time. Strike four is my wives complaint. She ask for lemons for her water. Our waiter never brought them. We had to ask a bar back/helper to get them 30 minutes later. I would really like to stress we gave this waiter absolutely no attitude, talk to him badly, or were mean to him at any time. I dont know what was going on. Bad day, mad because I proved I ordered the beer I actually ordered, just hates the world, I dont know. I wish him well though and hope him better days. I do want to end on a positive note. We loved the atmosphere. We actually sat at the bar high tops and it was perfect! When we were waiting to be seated the bar was slammed but the bartender still got me drinks in a timely manner and even dealt with a last minute addition! The Bartender was great. The menu is creative with a lot of healthy twists and unique takes on dishes. Our appetizer and meal came out in a timely manner. The host/waitress (she said she does a bit of everything) absolutely saved the night and experience. She had great energy and charisma which made the difference. We will be back. I always give a place two tries, sometimes three. Not going to let this one experience stop us from enjoying the restaurant again. The atmosphere and food almost demand it.

Great Farm to Table food - 3.5 stars If you are looking for amazing flavor, youve come to the right spot. Most menu items have vegetarian options and some are gluten free. We sampled fried pickles and grit cakes. For the main, we had sausage Not so Mac n Cheese and the shrimp n grits. Great flavor. Why did we give 3.5 stars? The wait was a train wreck. An hour turned into almost 2. The restaurant does not seat many. I might add we called to get priority seating and went early. There are no reservations here. The experience did not match the wait. The staff was running around crazy. Why? Theres not many customers here you can serve. They could have turned our table over twice. Even having them collect the check and money seemed a chore.. Next, the timing of our food was poor. The shrimp n grits were cold and the shrimp overcooked. The sausage was a little burnt. Sad because the flavors were all there if not for that. We sent the shrimp back. Very rare for me to do that. We ended the night with their desserts. Wow. If you dont want to wait to eat here, head to the back of the restaurant to a bakery/bar at least. Everything we tasted was amazing. Major respect for a place that makes its own whipped cream with their own desserts. Great flavors; great dessert. However, better kitchen and staff organization would really give this place the edge it needs. Instead I felt like they didnt need to prove anything thinking their food was all that.. Check for temperature and doneness before sending food out flawlessly every time, then come talk to me as this wasnt our experience.

I rarely leave reviews but need to say how horrible of an experience I had here last night. I had high hopes from the reviews and since they claim to have gluten free options as someone with Celiac disease. First of all they messed up 3/4 orders for my table and when we told the waitress she didnt even seem to care at all, she even was rude to us just for saying our orders werent right and to make it worse for one of the orders they screwed up instead of getting a new burger they clearly just scraped off the mayo as you could still see it (she asked specifically no mayo when she ordered.. she could have had an allergy thats just pure laziness!). I tried to let the messing up most our orders, rudeness and the fact that the heater next to us outside wasnt working (it was nighttime) but to make all this the worst possible experience I got SEVERELY glutened when I TOLD THE WAITRESS I HAVE A GLUTEN ALLERGY and this place advertises to have gluten free options right on their menu I guess thats just for the fad and theyre lying or my waitress was just that terrible because within an hour of leaving I was throwing up and its the next night and Im still in severe pain to the point I almost need to go to the ER. This is the most sick Ive ever been from eating at a restaurant that claims to be gluten free and I was diagnosed with celiac 5 years ago. Its a serious shame I paid $40 to be stuck in the bathroom miserable all weekend. I do not recommend this place at all I am highly disappointed.

We made a reservation for 830, and upon arriving at 905, which albeit we were late, however, we were informed upon arrival that they close at 9pm. My question is why not tell is you close at 9pm when we wanted an 830 reservation? It would seem like the professional thing to do, as well as when we talked to the manager (hair in bun, red lipstick, about 57"); description posted as she wasnt professional enough to even offer her name, she gave is a simple apology and no reason or attempt whatsoever to regain our business or solve this mistake on there part. Google does not have there hours posted either because this restaurant doesnt supply the proper data, and point blank this manager needs to be fired, and protocol at this restaurant needs to improve fast, as like many we are vacationin here and rely on reviews and appropriate service, which this establishment does not provide. So many other great places to eat, and who cares about their quality of food (which we couldnt try), if the service is less than sub par? Dont waste your time as there are far better places to eat with hours posted, attentive caring staff, and food that is better and cheaper. This town is growing, and old restaurants with old reputations such as this, are going to go away fast with a poorly managed and untrained staff. Notice that the reviews have no response from owners or managers, which is simple to do, and paramount in the digital age.

I rarely have a chance to authentically rate a place 5/5 so here we go! My girlfriend and I walked into the new location which is pet friendly and very quirky from the outside inward. As I sat outside with our dog, I saw deliveries coming in. Bags of fresh fish (tuna and Mahi Mahi) were carried in to the back door alongaide fresh herbs and beer kegs. I knew from the start this was going to be a great restaurant. With a few cups of coffee in our hands we began to warm up. Even though it was a little brisk outside, their staff insisted on getting the heaters to work and for the next 10 minutes their employee worked tirelessly to get one on for us. Wiyh the right spark and a new propane tank, it worked! Talk about great customer service. I ordered a tasty Bloody Mary and although their cocktail menu seemed amaIng, my girlfriend opted for water. The fish seemed fresh so I got the tuna melt and my girlfriend got the blackened spicy melt. The soup of the day was a carrot-coconut veggie medley so we added that on. Between the fresh soup and sandwhiches, we were full to the brim. Amazing service, fresh food, great cocktails and prices. Worth a trip for couples, families and anyone with an empty stomach!
