Good Food at a Reasonable Price and Fantastic Service The food is good, its better than OK, its probably one of the better buffets you can go to, and its actually cheaper than a fast food restaurant. Like all buffets there are going to be winners and losers. The items on the buffet to avoid are anything soaking in cheese, for instance the hash browns in elderly nacho cheese. The premier items are the steak, pot roast, and shrimp. Though you should be aware that steak is available for breakfast and dinner but not lunch so keep that in mind. Speaking of the steak its usually good but often is surrounded in fat so be prepared to cut that off. Other than that its usually really good for the cut of steak and Ive only once gotten a freezer burned fillet. My favorite course here is probably breakfast. I love the hash browns and made to order omelettes with your choice of fillings. They also have waffles and chicken so you can make your own combo. Im not a big dessert person but I should note the dessert section isnt up to the standards Ive seen in other Golden Corrals. Its a little limited though it does offer fresh baked items like cookies and cupcakes. They do have pies sometimes but Ive only seen them a few times so the dessert section seems more like a desert. The major highlight for this buffet, the reason Im giving this good buffet a great four stars, is the wait staff, theyre fantastic, absolutely wonderful. Theyre conscientious without being hovering: Ive never had an empty glass and Ive never had empty plates sitting on my table for more than a few minutes. Now lets talk about value for dollar. Youre going to spend $10 to $15 for a meal and a drink plus tip, and dont be "that person" that doesnt tip at a buffet, so youre looking at $12 to $18 for a full meal. Thats a good deal for the quality, and quantity, of food you get.

Unfortunately, has gone downhill since the opening. Crowds seem to indicate the same. Breakfasts dont have the variety they used to, but they opened up the salad bar, closed the desserts and moved the breakfast cereals and milks over to the dessert bar. Employees are still "running over" customers instead of waiting for them to pass by (and should have a smile on their face while they wait.) instead of saying "excuse me" in a seemingly unfriendly voice AFTER they passed. Breakfast variety still isnt quite there like it was when they first opened. Lunches work well, but it seems like they forgot temperature is important in cooking, not just time. some things undercooked, some over. Shouldnt have to cut a pancake with a knife. This restaurant has fallen into the same category as most in Port Orange. Its a place to go to do something different. just doesnt stand out. Heard some concerns about cleanliness, but what I observed today, procedures are being followed.. Will check again in a few months.

It was my first time going to Golden Coral and it was an almost horrible experience. When I first walked in the lady at the register was EXTREMLY rude to the point where I was really offended, so I said that she had a horrible attitude and she started crying. She was a little big, wore glasses with dark hair and she was complaining that she was there for 10 hours and was tired, first of all who doesnt work 10 hours ? Officially the most awful and weirdest experience Ive had with an employee ever! The food was far below average, when I got home I literally had to throw up because the food made me absolutely sick, Ive never had that happen before and it was not a pleasant experience. The only reason why I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because my waiter was absolutely superb, he was very kind and in an energetic happy mood. He seemed like the only person that wanted to be there, I wish I knew his name so he can get the credit he derserves. But if you want to go to a Golden Coral do not go to this one.

Awful - stay away - worst experience eating out - Port Orange, FL Read the mxied reviews but figured I would form my own opinion. Went in for lunch and was looking forward to it. Stood on a line to pay first before you can be let in. Shane K was the young man who checked us out and instead of dr. pepper he gave me coke so when I stated this doesnt taste like coke he says whatever, very rude and eyes red and squinty like he smoked a joint. Should have requested a refund and left then but against getting judgment went inside. You seat yourself, Food was AWFUL - I have been to alot of places and even McDonalds would have been a better choice. Buffet items were cold and over seasoned and I love spicy food but this had no flavor just direct seasoning in gulps. Salad bar looked wilted and messy. Dessert area was good and the waitress Elena who looked like she was due any minute to have her baby was very pleasant and polite. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO VOMIT RIGHT AFTER

Other then our waitress Linda. The rest of the staff are rude and racist. Trying to get a piece of meat was impossible. I got a tiny little piece that was all fat and watched the big black guy give the next lady who was black, a huge juicy piece to feed 3 people. I was very offended and did all I could not to say something. Then when I go to get dessert, I have my eye in this cake that I watched an employee bring to the dessert bar, look at me, and then turn around and set the cake on a table behind the bar and just walk away.. The store manager needs to get with it and start observing their employees. Im a restaurant manager and if I saw these kinds of things I wouldve put an end to them BEFORE it started affecting my guests.

Worst Golden Corral I have ever been to!! Im coming from Philadelphia and I literally lost my appetite after seeing the food. The selection wasnt good to begin with and the food quality was extremely poor. The food had crust on the edges. The food was cold. It tasted like it was a week old. After complaining the waitress SANDY did nothing to help my family, she didnt suggest anything or tried to change our minds. All she did was shrug her shoulders and say "sorry". Then she made it about her and her service when I clearly complained about the food only. So poor service. The first place we stopped at in Florida to eat and Im actually scared to try any place else. Would never recommend this Golden Corral in Port Orange Florida

It has been a long time since I have been here and yet this place has not disappointed me. The place looks clean and organized. The food is decent for it being a buffet and has plenty of different types of food that were maintained. The workers are friendly and approachable. The server that I had, (young lady in her early 20s with pale skin, black hair and with a tattoo on her arm) provided good service and was there for all her tables and provided mine in a above average timely manner. Most importantly is that she was happy to be there for the tables and took care of any issues the tables were having. Even passing by her she greeted and acknowledge my presence.
