I wish there was a way to give zero stars, because I would. The absolute worst dining experience I have EVER had. I have never, ever written a bad review for a restaurant until now. I also work at a restaurant, so I got off rather late (around 12:30-1) and decided to go to this iHop because they are open late. First, when we got there the manager sat us at a dirty table so we had to move. It took the waitress 45 minutes to get our drink order. She told us that she was the only server and she was trying her hardest, which is completely understandable. My main complaint was that the manager was doing absolutely NOTHING. He stopped by our table to make sure the waitress had greeted us, we said yes, but she hadnt gotten a drink order yet. He smiled and said good and walked away without even thinking to maybe take drinks out for her since she was slammed. Then, I saw the manager seat three tables and actually get their drink order; however, he decided to SIT DOWN with the tables while doing so. No matter how tired you are, or how much your feet hurt, or how long you have been there, that was completely unacceptable. After about 2 1/2 hours of sitting and waiting for our food, it finally came out. The food was fine, but you can definitely tell it had been sitting for awhile because the poor waitress couldnt get around to it. Needless to say, I am now at work after working a 14 hour shift yesterday, planning to work at least a 12 hour shift today, with only 4 hours of sleep because I sat at iHop last night until almost 4 in the morning. This iHop needs to seriously consider their management and staffing for future days.

Let me preface this by stating that my fiancé and I are very patient people and that writing this review is like one of the last things I feel like doing. I suppose Ill rate this restaurant experience while Im sitting down finally after waiting about 10min in the waiting room to be seated. Its monday at 10:45pm, about 10 other tables eating and waiting and 4 waiters and waitresses casually walking around. I dont understand why it took so long for us to be seated, but whatever. We finally got our drinks about 15 minutes after getting seated, and I havent seen our waiter since then to let him know that the water tastes acidic and the sprite was flat. Still waiting on the straw too. :-/ Its now 11:45 and weve actually just waited 30minutes and still waiting for our food after ordering. No straw yet. 11:48 the waiter walked out and apologized for the wait, and let us know its getting cooked now. So thats a good sign. 11:53 and Id wager this meal thats getting cooked is probably not going to be the best meal. Btw we ordered a spicy chicken ranch sandwich with avocado and hash browns and she ordered crispy chicken strips and fries. Which Im sure is super complicated considering the wait. 11:59 and were probably not eating going to start eating today. Yep its 12am and weve been here for well over an hour. I genuinely hope a manager or higher up sees this. This is unacceptable. Ill leave money for the flat sprite. Guess I wont visit here again. Bye.

Food was great. Service was terrible. Manager did give one in our party a free meal and three received 25% discounts. Our waitress complained to us about everything. We ordered sweet tea and received unsweet she states I dont make the tea. We ordered pancakes we get hash browns.....she states I just deliver what they put on the window. No refills on drinks, we asked a few times. Out of four tables sat. We were sat first order placed first and the other three tables received food, ate and were leaving when we got ours. The manager she was great. She was working in the kitchen cooking or helping cook, good leadership, and came out when another server told her what was going on. The second server she saw our empty glasses and filled all for us. Her name is Christina. She is an asset to IHOP. She took dishes off the table while our server did nothing but complain about how busy IHOP was and about the kitchen. Her name is Tina.

We were seated immediately and got our drinks quickly but the service quickly went downhill. My husband sat for over 30 minutes with an empty glass while we waited for our food. When we finally got our food after 45 minutes my eggs were overcooked and my bacon burnt. My husband still had to wait another 5 minutes for his omelette and they forgot the sour cream he asked for. I sent my food back but my new eggs were still overcooked. We were seated in a booth next to the kitchen door and everytime someone came out of the kitchen they slammed the door into the back of my seat, even after I asked the manager to have them stop. I could hear constant arguing and yelling coming from the kitchen. The manager gave us a 25% discount due to problems in the kitchen. I appreciate the discount but we will not be returning anytime soon due to the horrible service and food.

The IHOP on Assembly Street is a nice place to get breakfast food in a convenient location. One of the most convenient features of this restaurant is that it is open 24 hours, so it is a good place to get late-night food. The quality of the food here is average compared to other IHOP locations. It may not be as good as nicer restaurants, but it is inexpensive and consistent. The service here is usually very fast and friendly, regardless of the time. This location is in a convenient spot right off Assembly Street. It is easy to spot and there is ample parking behind the building and also on the street. It is very close to the Vista and the University of South Carolina.

I place a To-go order last night around 10pm-11pm I ordered the Sirloin tips with eggs. My eggs was scrambled, I substituted the hash browns for grits and instead of the pancakes I got French toast. I had a long day at work and I wanted something other than Fast Food, this was my first time eating at this IHOP and I can say Im NEVER returning‼️‼️ The food was awful the grits was so runny and the Sirloin which clams to be USDA certified on the IHOP website was undercooked and tasted as though the meat was old or sitting out all day and then barely reheated and sold to me! Also I like cheese on my grits and that cost 1$ for a small amount

Server CJ brought me my $2.79 coffee in the wrong mug and when i brought it to her attn she told me they always came in the mug she had it in..even after confirming i was right with the manager...still aint get my coffee. Finished my omlet before i got my pancakes and hashbrowns were more grease than hashbrowns. Never received a check. Stood at the cash stand, unnoticed while the same manager cashed out others like my husband wasnt standing there. Worst experience at this location Ive ever had.
