Let me start by saying I live within walking distance of two other sushi restaurants. I order from Miyako for two reasons: their sushi is fantastic and they deliver. A bit pricey, but price comes with quality, and you never skimp on quality with sushi, thats how you get food poisoning. Also, I dont write reviews if something is ok, only amazing or terrible. Its very rare I find either end of the spectrum, thus I rarely write reviews. I order from Miyako and have them deliver most of the time and today was no different. Every time I call, Im greeted warmly, they have my information on file, and even know I cant eat salmon. Mind you, I order maybe once or twice a month. I have had many of their dishes, almost all sushi, but I consistently order something called Chirashi Sushi, which translates to Scattered Sushi. Its assorted Sashimi (raw fish slices) on a bed of sushi rice. I have had it at many other locations, but Miyako gives you an insane amount of fish for the price, and its all fresh (no fish smell, nice and pink in tunas case). I love their rice, and for $18.00 (give or take a buck), you cant get more high quality Sashimi. I will say, they always quote me much longer on delivery than it actually takes. Tonight the quote was 35-40 mins. Almost exactly 12 minutes later, a knock on my door. Not a complaint in the least, quite a bonus. Anyway, for anyone looking to order from Miyako and wondering if they are safe, YES. Never been sick from them, even eating Escolar (sometimes called White Tuna). Enjoy!

Always good service and food although Ive never dined in. I usually order hibachi chicken dinners and a roll or two of sushi to go, the orders are always correct when I arrive and are close to the quoted fulfillment time. The dinners are white meat chicken with veggies and fried rice, small ginger salad and mushroom broth soup. The entrée is always cooked well, the soup and salad are simple and fresh. The sushi is better than others Ive tried in the area and the prices are much more reasonable. The house hot sake is also great, but lacks flavors available at other similar restaurants. Hands down the best hibachi to go in the area.

Ordered a Tuna and a salmon roll from their "classic roll" section for takeout. As a frequent sushi eater, I know these come as standard Maki with fish, rice and seaweed- however there wasnt actually any description listed. When I got home I discovered tempura flakes all throughout both rolls. This was unexpected as the rolls werent titled "crunchy" or "tempura." I have a gluten allergy, and was frustrated upon making this discovery. That never should come standard in a classic salmon or Tuna Maki roll.. What the heck.

I waited 40 minutes for my chicken teriyaki lunch bowl the two other people in my party both got their full meals before my smaller one in comparison. After waiting I asked the server where my food was and she rushes into the kitchen and brings it back out stating that it had been left in the window. The owner then refused to give me any compromise or pay for the meal even though we had to leave and I literally did not get to eat my food on the visit. Taken a deep dive downward since getting new owners.

The food is good for takeout. If you plan on eating in, you can expect poor service. Simple things such as peas or broccoli being left out is apparently such a hassle that you get to enjoy the staff grumbling. On top of that, their solution is to pick through the food to remove it, and they still failed to complete the task. Step up your game miyako.

Nothing but good stuff to say about this restaurant. Ive probably been there around 20 times. Great place for lunch ($$lunch specials$$) if your office is nearby. Quick service and always the nicest staff. Im actually on my way there right now. Also, family owned which makes it 10 times better. Hope this helps!

This is one of mine and several of my coworkers favorite lunch spots. My wife and kids also love to eat here on the weekends occasionally. Staff is always very helpful and nobody I have taken here ever complains about the quality of food they receive.

The lunch special is the best bang for your buck, but altogether, their food is incredible. Their service used to be terrible, but it has improved greatly. This place will forever remain an east Orlando fave. (Try the sushi or hibachi lunch/dinner)

They make delicious fresh sushi BUT, if you order take out they will probably forget the wasabi, and the ginger, AND the soy sauce, and they also forget the special sauce that comes with the tataki.... good sushi, bad service.

Oh my! How do I do 6 stars on here?! I ordered using Uber eats. That Flamingo roll was everything!! The spicy tuna was also better than expected. Very reasonably sized and priced!! Miyako just became my go-to!!

Everything is fresh, sushi is vibrant. Excellent value, dinner size portion is big enough to bring extra home for lunch. Same quality as expensive Japanese steakhouses at 1/4 the price.

While the quiet, peaceful atmosphere may be misleading on many occasions, Miyakos is a restraunt that deserves to be filled. Their prices and quality of food is on point.

Great food but terrible service. Incredibly slow and unfriendly. Everyone was in a rush but really didnt need to be. Their attitude made the atmosphere worse.

Quick and tasty Japanese food, especially soups. Not impressed with Chinese offerings, attention and quality seem like an after thought. Sushi is good.

Service was ok.. Sashimi was excellent, but the nigiri was stringy... Baby octopus salad tasted good but was on the edge of being frozen..

If you want the best hibachi, sushi, or anything related, this is the place to go. Small, quaint, friendly, and amazing.
