Hopefully when I visited it wasnt the norm. The week of Thanksgiving is busy at Disney World, one of the busiest. When we decided on some food we stopped at our resorts eatery. We have been there at 6am, 730am, even as late as 9pm and 1130pm for a pizza. No matter the crowd the staff always seemed so slow. I wasnt the only one who noticed as you could hear plenty of others voicing this throughout. Maybe a lot of these people were new. I had waited in line one morning to find out the cook didnt hear their helper say blueberry pancakes so I had to wait after people behind me in line because they didnt have cohesion. I also witnessed at night a womans pizza not getting put in. It doesnt take long to get a pizza. Maybe ten minutes. When I go t in line I saw her out my pizza on and when it came out the woman in front of me who had gotten a personal sized asked about hers and the worker forgot to even put it through. These seem like such easy things to fix so maybe it was just a bad week. Also the cashiers always seemed to be clicking thr wrong item, charging for adult meals when a kids meal was ordered. There were several times we were behind or saw in another line someone getting refunded for that. The only thing that I really have to praise is the food itself. Breakfast sucked but the lunch and dinner was extremely delicious. Maybe I was just hungry, who knows.

The Floatworks is the only dining option in the French Quarter section of the Port Orleans Resort. The food is decent but you should expect to pay Disney scale prices. In keeping with the New Orleans feel, the food is Southern themed and features some staples of the South like the "meat and three" combo and Po Boy sandwiches. If you arent into Southern cooking, there are a few items that you can eat that are generic American food but even the Southern items arent truly hardcore Southern cooking and can be tolerated by most palettes. The one place you might save money is to but one of the all-you-can-drink mugs. The French Quarter is small enough that you can bring your mug for meals and run back to your room to drop it off before heading out to the parks so you dont have to lug it around all day. In the past, the policy was that you could reuse mugs from previous visits. Unfortunately, Disney decided that they could use new technology to milk some more money so the mugs now have a chip that you must activate with a certain number of days. The old mugs will no longer activate the dispenser. The other let down of the mugs is that they are no longer resort-specific, instead having become generic across all of the resorts.

I visited in the summer 16 when the normal location was being refurbished; the temporary location was plain unlike the normal location. Im from the south about two hours from New Orleans proper so I will say that the food here is very close to what you would find in the Deep South. I tried the shrimp Poboy ( Poor Boy ) it was very tasty and the French-bread was just the way I like it, toasted and the right amount of texture, and sticking with a Louisiana theme hot sauce (Tabasco) was on the table which no Poboy is complete without. I will definitely try this place again the food is good and the atmosphere (which I call clean New Orleans) of the resort makes it a good place to relax and unwind.

We went there for the muffelata. it was very good and worth the trip although it could had had more of the olive melange on it. I had the gumbo and it was fairly authentic. Disney hires excellent chefs and they didnt disappoint until we tried the beignets they were chewy hollow pieces of fried dough. Ive been the Cafe du Monde and there was no comparison. I suggest Disney either hire one of the cooks at Cafe Du Monde or send one of their bakers there.

We love eating here when we visit Orlando. My family is gluten free and they make GF Mickey waffles with sausage and bacon, chicken fingers, fries, pizza, etc all Gluten Free and are all super yummy! They even make GF Beignets that are AWESOME! Chefs are very knowledgeable and take your order, cook it and deliver it so you know its safe!

I made my family come here for the gluten-free beignets. I hadnt had anything fried and doughy in years and these were all I could think about. They did not disappoint! They were perfect! The staff was also really friendly because we got there at closing time and the chef still made me beignets.

Really fun place for the family with lots of options. Food is good but dont expect an incredible meal. Its not meant to be a 5 star restaurant, but its clean and consistent with lots of drink and food options. Decent amount of seating. Fast service and cheerful staff.

Good food court similar to others in Disney. Enjoyed the flashes of Mardi Gras in the coloured shiny coins on the county by the cashiers, the hanging beads and masques. Here is the place to get beignets! Only order the steak if you like it well done.

Love this resort for being so small in the large world of WDW. While they do have the basics, the food options here are themed more to the resort (New Orleans). This is also one of just a few places left at WDW that serve real ice cream!

Came here for breakfast. Fun place, cheerful staff, and bad mass produced highly processed food. Named aptly, its a food factory. Avoid eating here if possible, but if in a pinch its okay for a quick bite on the go.

Some dishes ok but mainly poor quality food at inflated prices with all the ambiance of a cattle market. Only restaurant at this hotel and cant help feeling they are taking advantage of a captive audience.

“Very Helpful for my Special Diets and Vegan Options” Coming back from the parks it was awesome to have options I could eat that where vegan. Quick and easy and great meals at a very cost effective price.

I was excited to experience the Sassagoula but realized it fell short. The food is nothing like what you get in New Orleans. If you starving and in a big pinch go to McDonalds.
