The clam shack is a very family friendly place. I did not think the clam strips were good because of the breading every one else liked it though . There famous Ipswich calms imported from Massachusetts were just as good as the ones in Ipswich. The fried oysters are juicy and fat. The portines were plenty. The sweet potato fries were to die for most definitely worth the extra dollar. They had very fast service.

Ipswich clams! Best seafood South of Maine! We hit the jackpot when we found this unassuming little seafood jewel. Seriously the most fresh and the tastiest seafood on the island. The prices were really good considering the portion sizes and that the seafood has to be flown daily. Service was great too! Oh and youve got to taste their Bloody Marys!!!! I havent had better anywhere in the USA!

Outstanding food and service. Friendly owners and staff. Very good beer prices. Fried whole belly clams were light and sweet. Perfectly seasoned. Ipswich clams (steamers) were super fresh and also sweet. For those who dont eat seafood there are several options. Also good onion rings, very lightly battered and with a light snap. Family run. We will be back. Highly recommended.

We had our sons rehearsal dinner at The Clam Shack and it was wonderful! The food was fantastic and the staff was excellent. We live in Missouri so much of the planning was from the phone or email exchanges with Cara, one of the owners. She really went above and beyond to make our night really special. I hope if youre in Sanibel youll give them a try. Youll be glad you did!

Awesome friendly service and scrumptious food. The Stuffed Shrimp was delectable. Onion rings are fresh cut and made to order. And the waitress over heard me talking to my friend about debating about the Lobster Bisque. She brought me a sample of the soup. How nice!!! And it was very tasty! This is now on our visit annually list! Thank you Clam Shack! Great job!!

This was our very first meal in Sanibel. The staff was very friendly, gave great recommendations. Best clam chowder ever! Fried clams were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entrees, and then the staff treated our parents to strawberry rhubarb pie and Boston cream pie as an anniversary gift - yum! So sweet of them! Definitely go. You will enjoy.

Great New England seafood! Owner served us at the bar and was very entertaining. Try the fried clams!!!! Small, but cozy atmosphere. Decorated in New England style with friendly staff. Live entertainment too! We stopped while biking around the island and it was a great place to relax and get some food and drinks. Highly recommend.

Clam Shack is a great choice for New England style seafood. We tried the clam chowder, steamed oysters, lobster roll, and fried clam strips. Everything was authentic and expertly prepared. These folks know how to do it right! If you only order one thing, get their lobster roll. Its lobster + bun without any fillers.

If youre looking for local catch this is not the place. This IS the place for New England style seafood and its flown in fresh. This place is currently rated #1 seafood spot on Trip Advisor for Sanibel island. The lobster roll is done right and tastes great. Clam chowder was on point! Enjoy!

Sure enough, lived up to the hype! Nice slice of New England and the food was awesome! The Clam Chowder is better at the Lazy Flamingo, but the fried Cod & Shrimp were the BEST Ive ever had. Incredible flavor. Pricey, but worth it. Highly recommended!

Small place, casual atmosphere. The food is fantastic. I was with a party of 7 and we did appetizers and entrees, everyone cleaned their plates. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. We will be coming back here every time we visit Sanibel.

Service was friendly, lobster roll lacked favor, was hoping for a tarragon, old bay, lemon mayo or there house version of a remoulade folded in, it was just plain unseasoned lobster. Clam chowder was ok at best, easy pass for the future sorry.

We had a lovely supper and the service was great. I had the fried scallops and mussels and they were both perfect. The missus had stuffed shrimp which she also enjoyed. Bernie from Cape Cod provided great entertainment. A great atmosphere!

Fried clams are great. Only place in the island to get clams. A friend had the fish n chips she loved it. All cooked perfectly and lightly breaded so you can taste the sefood. Service was top notch top. Give them a try folks.

Haddock sandwich quite good, moist, cooked just right. Lobster roll a lititle on the bland side, looked like maybe 4 Oz of meat, not much taste...onion rings good, steak fries ok. Bloody Mary, very nice.
