Staff extremely rude! Questioned our order for take out, complained about us being early, even made a point to show us the time left on the POS unit. Pizza was garlic overload! Couldnt taste anything else but the garlic. Im sure that was intentional since we came in early to pick up our pizza which we did NOT mind waiting for. We will be sharing our experience with everyone! In regards to response from Sanibel Deli, we were well aware that we were ordering the white pizza. If we had wanted a pizza with traditional sauce, we would have ordered that. We didnt ask to substitute, just to add toppings, we cant do that? Lesson for you, its your job to make the customers happy not to argue their preference of toppings and sauce. As far as making a big deal of coming in early to pick up the pizza, I in no way had any issues that the pizza was not done, I said its no problem at all. All you would have had to say is it should be ready in 20 minutes. Attitude is everything, being positive and courteous. It will get you so much further with customers than being negative and condescending.

Trained and experienced at offering gluten free choices (unlike most places that offer gluten free items on the menu yet dont understand how gluten can find its way into the food). And the food is delicious. My wife is very allergic to any gluten at all, so she has a reaction if cross-contamination has occurred in a restaurants kitchen or if gluten was somehow included in an ingredient. Shes never had a reaction here after perhaps 15 visits. The owner has family members who have celiac; he has a good knowledge of gluten issues and hes trained his staff well. Good variety. Quality food items. Clean environment. Nice people. Service-oriented. Consistent. My wifes favorites are the caesar veggie wrap, the salted caramel ice cream and the raspberry chocolate chip ice cream. My kids love the pizza. I like too many things to list in this review.

The first time my girlfriend and I walked into Sanibel Deli, we were greeted with amazing hospitality: the workers welcomed us in and quickly took our order. After we ordered our food, it took no less than 10 min for our food to arrive and when it did, we were so pleased with it. The food was simply amazing ,and I kid you not, the fries were like no other; they were the best fries ever!! My girlfriend couldnt stop eating them and ordered seconds. On top of that, the restaurant was very clean with beautiful artwork displayed on the walls, which made it a suitable place to eat and enjoy your food! Then we came back multiple times for lunch and it just made our day every time!! Highly recommend Sanibel Deli to anyone who hasnt tried it yet! Best sandwiches, pizza, FRIES, and salads on Sanibel!

I Got the "lil Vinny" & Northern bean & ham soup... Both had very nice flavors... Not one ingredient overbearing another... The "lil Vinny" had a good amount of boiled ham, a few slices of hard salami, one slice of capicola ham, 1 1/2 slices of provolone. It was topped with some fresh romaine a few thinly sliced raw onions and an Italian seasoned vignette (I opted no tomato)... It came with ruffled potato chips and a dill pickle spear... The Soup was made with small white beans and sliced ham that was then chopped with onions, in a traditional stock... Again the flavors didnt overpower each other... The soup was a little oily on top and needed a little salt and pepper... Overall it was Good Food, Fast, Reasonably Priced and Served with a Smile!!! Ill be back for sure...

Superclean place, great sandwiches and hot coffee. Prices are moderate, maybe even cheap for Sanibel. Service is very friendly, professional and attentive without being phony. I have the feeling, that they are really working very hard to offer the best possible experience for the customer. Definitely not a tourist rip-off! And if the local cops, firemen and real estate brokers are having their lunch at the other tables, you know, you can´t be completely wrong to come here!

Great food, excellent value, friendly staff! This is honestly the best place to go if you are on the go! :) I am constantly running around and its super easy to call ahead and pick up my food 10-15 minutes later. For breakfast, I recommend their delicious breakfast burrito! (You can choose your meat and cheese!) For lunch I typically eat the Pandoras Box, a REALLY good tuna melt with cheddar cheese! I highly recommend the Sanibel Deli!

More gluten free options then Ive ever seen and knowledgeable/friendly service from the owner. He was working all by himself and it was fairly busy, but he still gave a great experience to everyone. I had the roast beef panini and it was so good that I ordered the reuben too. My boyfriend got the toasted coconut ice cream and it was amazing. Delicious food, good portion sizes, what a great place to eat. :)

Glad for the gluten free options, but overall not impressed. Food was dry and chips were bland. Customer service was good, but all the signs and designs were antiquated or hand written (not in fancy writing, just scribbled). Atmosphere was lacking an upbeat vibe with a dark green interior covered in New York pictures and posters, unrelated to a central theme.

My family and I were in here for dinner and the staff was more than friendly and helpful. They were so busy but didnt get hurried or short with us like some places do when you are not sure what everyone wants. My favorite is the white pizza. Perfect quantities of all the ingredients! You cant go wrong with getting food here.

Local owner on site working hard along with Michael and team. NEW indoor seating. Outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade available. Awesome pizza, sandwiches, soda, coffee, take out, carryout, dine in, sit down, plenty of parking, across from CVS and fire station, PLUS close to library and Periwinkle. See you there.

We ordered three meals! Great food, but we found a hair in one of our meals and the gentleman instead of just apologizing for it, passed the buck and tried to say it wasnt their fault. The hair was stuck underneath the cheese and sticking out between bacon. I was taken back by the way that was handled! Unprofessional!

I have celiac. I love Starbucks and I cant have it anymore, but they had blended coffee drinks in different flavors that tasted like Starbucks and tasted so good!! They had many different Gluten Free options. Manager was very nice and very good service. This place is perfect for celiacs. I highly suggest this place!

Amazing experience! The food is wonderful every time I stop in. The service is wonderful and is fast. They are a small, local place that feels very welcoming. I recommend this place to anyone. The pizza, chicken fingers, and breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Also, the key lime ice cream was fabulous!

After reading the reviews knew we had to try it. Drove up and ordered to go a small pepperoni pizza for the kids and Margarita pizza for the adults. Both were awesome. The person who took our order was pleasant and conversational and brought out the pizza in 15 minutes just like he told us.

We ordered three different sandwhiches and shared them. We ordered The fat boy, the Italian melt and The beef & blue, they were all very good. My son also enjoyed the key lime ice cream. I wish we would have discovered this place at the start of our trip and not the end.
