I used to go to Pollo Tropical all the time in Miami. The best alternative from the normal fast food oily-ness. Last night was NOT good. I hadnt been in a bout a year or so as I have been living in Tampa. I recently moved to Orlando and was happy to find them here. Yesterday I went to get two tropi chops. i went through the drive through and forgot the size difference in a small and large. So I asked. "what is the difference in a small and a regular?" The employee said, "One is small and one is regular." RUDE! "Can you clarify the size difference please?" I tried very hard not to reciprocate the rude tone of the girl on the other end of the speaker "I dont know the ounces or anything" she said. Ok....Then I asked about the Caribbean soup. "When was the last batch made, this morning or recently? How fresh is it?" "Its fresh" I manage restaurants so I just wanted clarification not all the attitude. I was going to ask about the Yucca but she had already rubbed me the wrong way. Then, I go to the window and they were talking about a guest in Spanish. They were trying to decide if they could get half and half of something. They must have not known or thought that I spoke spanish. I saw through the window, the girl at the counter literally shove paper bags into a plastic bag. While the girl who took my credit card spoke anxiously at another woman who came loudly speaking to her about the guest. The girl at the counter threw her hands up and said, "Whatever just give it to her." She handed the other girl my bag that she brought to me. That was MY FOOD she had just shoved into the bag! They must have been having a seriously rough night. The rudeness was ridiculous. The food was normal except for the soup that was salty, oily and too brown. Needless to say, I threw it away. If the service is this poor and half hazard I wonder about the integrity of the food. Pollo Tropical overall has a good reputation and it may be worth driving to the Millenia location to avoid something like this happening again. I hope that one is better.

Pesima comida.ha perdido la calidad que tenia se perdio. MEJOR LLAMENLO PALOMA TROPICAL. No se trata de llevar plato de losa a la mesa. Sino de la buena comida. Porque los precios ha aumentado. Pero los pedazos de pollo hay que buscarlos con lupa.que pollos tan flacos dejenlos engordar y los frijoles la mayoria de las veces nadando e agua y sin sazon.Senores es demasiado HASTA CUANDO. ALGUNAS VECES VUELVO CON LA ESPERSNZA DE QUE MEJORO PERO NADA ESTA PEOR.Y YO. COMIA VARIAS VECES A LA SEMANA.POR ESO PUEDO COMPAR.OJALA VUELVA A SER LO QUE FUE.

I ordered several dishes from this location totaling over $35.00. My rib platter came minus one of the sides. First of all I do not know how anyone preparing the platter could overlook the fact that a section of the box was completely empty. I called to let them know and was promised a replacement platter whenever I was able to return to the location. I live quite some distance away so going back was not a viable option at that time. The next day I went in my lunch hour as my job location is a little closer. However, when I went to the window I also ordered lunch for my boss, who I had told I was going to pick up a platter. The girl at the window conversed with the employee I had spoken to before and told me that they had decided not to give me the full platter but to give me 2 sides instead. I was shocked to say the least, not only did I have to spend time and gas to go back to the location due to their negligence but now they wanted me to eat 2 sides for lunch. Who does that!!! Also, the whole debaucle started with their negligence. Now they lie to me.

Never coming back to a Pollo Tropical again!! This place is a joke. Order was wrong. I got white meat instead of dark. My plate was missing the garlic MOJO that comes with Yuca. My plate was also missing the bun which I never even got. Realized too much! Took at least 10 min for me to get my food. No other customers being serve to cause delay. My so called "Server" never came to check on me and when I told her my order was wrong she send me to the counter. Lol didnt care. The place was dirty and look like it had not been mopped and swept in like a month. Non of the kitchen staff wear hats or hair nets of any sort. Ohh and when the took the white meat of my plate the put it back on the grill.

I had to sit in the drive thru for over 20 minutes to find out they gave me the wrong side. I had to take my baby from the car and go inside. The door was unlocked and the sign said dinning room open til 12. When I get in the girl said you cant be in here after 10 and I stated the door was open and the sign says 12. I just need my correct side and she said you have to go back thru the line and I was not waiting inline for another 15-20 minutes. She rolled her eyes and got the manager who was nice enough to give me what I originally ordered. I thanked him and got home and realized there was no rolls and the chicken is burnt. I spent almost $30. I will travel another 15 minutes to Altamonte next time.

**Strictly based off of drive thru experience*** Ive dined in before and had not so great service but today I was hungry and used the drive thru. The lady who attended me today was so pleasant, awesome customer service and the food was for the first time prepared fast and correct. I dont know if they have new team members or if the current ones got talked too but today their service was phenomenal. 100% today. Who ever is taking the drive thru orders today should give the other crew members some tips on how to properly provide excellent customer service. Drive thru service today was on point

This is the absolute worst place ive ever eaten.. maybe because the worker in the drive through was having conversation with her friend that pulled in for over 20 mins that i had to blow my horn and she continued to talk for 15 more before having him pull around behind me. Then i orldered the chipotle chicken sandwhich which looks very sloppy, paid for cheese(no cheese came on it) no tomatoes and she still messed up my order and did not care that i was not satisfied.. i would not recommend this location to anyone. Pollo Tropical please watch who you hire, makes your company looks bad

Horrible. Ive been 4 times and 3 times theres been NO CHICKEN. The other time the store was filthy. I give up with any store. To me.... thats like a McDonalds not having burgers!!! Your name is Pollo Tropical.... Get it together.... **UPDATE** 07/16/2012: Just tried them again so they could redeem themselves. Still HORRIBLE!!! The guy at the drive thru was on his phone, the portion was small and cold. Ill now never go back to any Pollo Tropical! (no one from Customer Service EVER called me back)
