Horrible service. If youre a first time customer, you have to figure things out for yourself. Wife and I went there to celebrate birthday. We were asked if we wanted to sit at the bar or grill. We picked the grill. (The seats are located around the grill and a chef will cook in front of customers). The waitress came and gave us a menu. Also asked us if we wanted a sushi menu. I ordered a couple fried sushi items and my wife ordered a Yakisoba Chicken from the menu. The waitress seemed clueless about what a Yakisoba and asked us to show where it is on the menu. After a few minutes the waitress came back and told us that since the food that we ordered are not going to be cooked on the grill, she requested if we wont mind moving to a booth. Feeling a little bit embarrassed in front of the other customers we agreed to move and followed the waitress. When she noticed were following her, she just motioned us to go to the booths without showing us where it is. I think the waitress assumed we know our way around the restaurant but it was our first time there. She turned her back on us and before we could ask her where exactly we should sit, she was gone. We were left standing in the middle of the aisle without a clue where to go. The menu or the waitress did not indicate what will be cooked on the grill that day as well. We kinda figured out how their system works but after that display we just left and we will not be going back to this place again. Their price is not worth the service.

Will not be going back. We have been patrons ever since they moved to Orange Park, and have always had good service...in the hibachi section. If you go sit at the tables behind the bar, however, you will be lucky if you ever get waited on. Went for Fathers Day, took 20 minutes to even get menus/drink orders, waitress never smiled, was not nice at all, we have two children under 5, she never asked if we wanted a booster seat. We ordered for ourselves, and two extra plates so we could share our food with our children. Entrees should include soup and salad... we never got our salad. Took forever to get our soup, then our two meals didnt even come out at the same time, and when they did, they were not hot like they should have been. Was never visited again by our waitress, never got asked by anyone if we needed refills on drinks or anything else. Also took at least 10-15 minutes to even get our card back when trying to pay. Talked to manager, he seemed very unconcerned with our situation. This visit was our last- the service should not have been that bad, especially on a holiday.

The worst Hibachi food we have ever had. My friend wanted tempura so we sat at a regular table. The soup and salad were the highlight of the meal. My Shrimp Tempura Sushi had the smallest shrimp in it that I have ever seen. The meals had about 2 ounces of chicken and were overcooked, the rice was hard and dry and they had about a quarter of a zucchini on each plate. A 6 year old was forced to either pay $7.50 to share a meal or $9.00 for a childs dinner. What a rip off. They would not budge off of that at all. We had come for my birthday and the waitress was told when we arrived and they did not even acknowledge it. They do not give the person with a birthday a free meal like other Hibachi restaurants. The food was much better when they were across the street in the old location. I posted nothing but good things about them then. They have a new building to pay for and have reduced the portion sizes to do it. All in all the worst experience ever.

If i could give 0 stars i would have!!! First let me say i used to eat here all the time before they relocated across the street. So we first walked in and the hostess asked how many then told us to find or own table, i had to ask for a high chair for my son. We sat at the table at least 10 minutes watching waitresses point at us trying to figure out who would take the table!!! The waitress comes over and we order drinks, she drops the drinks off takes our order then we didnt see her the rest of the night!! She never brought me my water either!! We had 4 different people bringing things to our table!! Once we got the food it was barely warm and the food had absolutely no flavor!!! This was by far the worst service and food i have ever eaten in a hibatchi restaurant!!! And since when does 1 captn and red bull drink cost 11$???? Ridiculous and very sad!! We will never return!!!!

This place is a horrible unless you like super over priced Hibachi, and bad service.. I came in with my family (party of 4).. Hibachi grill is a joke. They cut their chicken breast into two halves for multiple orders. They automatically put the tip of 18% in my bill and I only had 4 people in party.. that pretty much confirmed why the waitress was so bad.. she wasnt working for a earned tip. Never refilled one drink or cleared any dishes from the table. The hibachi chef told her numerous times to remove the dishes and it never happened.. I had to clear them myself so that we could make room for our main meal.. Hibachi consist of zucchini and onions in the fried rice, thats it.. over 20$ a meal and we got cheap cheap cheap service.. feel scammed after I left.. I would seriously reconsider before going to this place.

First time in the new location (old Smokey Bones). Waited 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us after being pointed to a table by the hostess. Others at the regular tables here seem to be waiting on drinks and order placements, and theyve been here longer. Table next to me getting irritated still waiting for their check. Maybe theyre short staffed tonight but if so they shouldnt be allowing more patrons to seat than they can reasonably handle. Update: There was only one server for the non-bar non-hibachi area. A lot of people got up and left, complaints to management. Service afterward picked up. Food was decent enough. So management and hostesses keep letting guests seat themselves when there isnt enough staff to properly serve them. Dont think Im going back, much better smaller places locally.

Just left this restaurant, and the wife and I spent the next 20 minutes on the way home talking about our experience. There was a 10-15 minute wait for the grill, and no wait at the tables. We went to the tables. There must have been a waiting list there to because we waited almost 20 minutes for someone to at least say hello, another 10 minutes to get your basic tea, then finally ordered. Waited another 30 minutes to get average food from a waitress that didnt care. While we were waiting, we saw at least 3 separate couples get up and leave because they couldnt get waited on. We will never go back. Extremely poor service, just average food. Never again.
