We recently had to find a new Bar-B-Q place after witnessing someone picking up fries that fell on the floor and chucking them into the fryer at our old joint. Hence our arrival at the Dixie Pig and it has been love ever since. Its close to where I work and I end up picking up dinner for the family there at least once a week. Everyone who works there is super nice and the food is reasonably priced and delicious. My husband always gets the half chicken and my daughter and I usually get the pulled pork sandwich. I like that they have a lot of side options like sweet potato fries that some places dont have. Its not fancy but the best places for Bar-B-Q arent. If you choose to eat there they have a few tables and I have always found them to be clean. My takeout order is always ready on time and correct. They also offer a nice variety of sauces. Although they are Carolina Bar-B-Q which is the vinegar based sauces they also offer the sweet sauce I prefer. Both hubby and I get our favorites and anytime I dont have to cook is a happy day.

This place is the bomb! Everything on the menu is delicious and affordable. I would prefer the Old Clinton barbecue back home in Middle, GA... but thats a comparison to the best barbecue in the world and just not fair. You wont find excellent barbecue in Florida... thats just a fact, but this is the closest thing to it. Keep in mind that different origins in the US have different barbecue methods. This is the Carolina style which means they probably use vinegar. I prefer a dry-rub and would cook this at a much lower temperature with more wood-driven smoke. I go here for the other good ol American foods with foreign names like hamburgers, french fries, etc. They have especially wonderful breakfast at an unbeatable price. This place is very kid friendly and large-party friendly. A must go if you want to fill your stomach with good taste on a short budget. ...Oh, And REAL sweet tea! None of that peach-flavored crap.

My childhood was spent in central Georgia. I loved our barbeque; then, we moved to Memphis. My true formative years were there in the midst of great, great barbeque. No, I am not so prejudiced that I cannot enjoy barbeque from other places. I have had much North Carolina Q that Ive enjoyed. I wanted to like this place so much. The people were friendly. The food. The pork sandwich had too much bread for the meat. I reduced it by getting rid of the top; still, no real flavor to the meat and the thin barbeque sauce did little to improve it. Brunswick stew? Lots of it in the cup; just not well seasoned and primarily potatoes and tomatoes. Again, I wanted to like it...but wont return.

I just ordered through UberEATS they arrived 30 minutes later! Dixie Pig is wayyyyy better than BBQ Jacks!!! I have to say that I was very impressed with the food. It was a great portion! I had the three ribs and shredded meat with onion rings and mac and cheese and everything was delicious!!! Wow and the golden sauce is the best!! The ribs fell off the bone it was sooooo good!!! And the mac and cheese were moist and had this tasty seasoning. The only reason I didnt give a five is the corn bread was good but fell apart too quick. Cant wait to see what else is good! I will definitely be ordering from here again!!

Purchased a beef and pork combo with mashed potatoes, french fries and hush puppies. The pork and beef was sub-par at best, dry and practically flavorless, had to drench it in the barbeque sauce that tasted identical to something you would find in a 7-11. My hush puppies were dropped into my mashed potatoes and thoroughly soggy from the excessive amount of gravy. (probably used to mask the taste of the instant mashed potatoes) would not order again. How new times rated this place the best bbq in town completely puzzles me.

Just visted, actually still eating at dixie ribs , and i must say i am incredibly disappointed. I ordered a half rack of ribs, stake fries and mac-n-cheese. Frirst the mac-n-cheese was cold, which I was just made aware the microwave, second the steak fries are bland, last the ribs tasted like they were cooked on a propane grill. Utterly disappointed to say the least. Please save your time and money, i know i will. $16 for a plate of crap bbq, if you can call it that. I shall never return, and i advise you never to go.

I ordered a pound of the pork and a pound of the beef... a disaster! You call that slop barbecue?! Both tasted like they had been curing in salt and vinegar, were drenched in water, and were composed of nice large chunks of fat/lard which made the meat inconsumable... this Q had been boiled in salt water and vinegar. It was by far the worst Q Ive ever purchased.... EVER. I have no idea who reviewed this place prior to my review but they were obviously lying.

The Dixie Pig is awesome and that comes from a Native North Carolinian who loves BBque prepared the right way - the only way!! I come to South Florida only once or twice a year to visit friends and I always plan my trip on going there once when I get off the plane in Fort Lauderdale and once when I am on my way back from Jupiter... Sooo Good and by the way Go Pirates!

This isnt the best BBQ out there, but it is close to my work and it is affordable. The sauces they have are pretty good, and the hush puppies are really good. I usually get the platter with half beef and half pork. The meat doesnt have that smokey flavor, but it is still a good place to grab an affordable lunch. I would say the sides are better quality than the meat.

We moved from South Florida to GA about two years ago and still to this day talk about Dixie Pig. Their vinegar based sauce is fantastic. The bbq has always been good and tender. After trying to find something comparable up here, Im giving them a call tomorrow to see about having the sauce shipped up here!

Ive only ordered through Uber Eats but we did so 4 times over the course of 3 days. Breakfast menu items are delicious and prices are really great for what you get. We also ordered lunch once and it was really great too. I highly recommend their ribs

Being from South Carolina, I appreciate having the option of mustard based BBQ sauce but my favorite is the vinegar based. Great group of people working here and doing a good job of bringing a little taste of the South to south Florida.

OK so I ate here in 2006 .... BUT it was absolutely amazing. I was taken there by a true North Carolinian, and she said the barbecue style was authentic. Two thumbs up! Its outdoor tables, I really dont think there is indoor eating
