I really wanted to like this place, but Im just unable to say anything good about our last two experiences here. I went a couple of months ago and paid $18 for a plate of boxed spaghetti with what tasted like canned vodka sauce on top - no vegetables, no meat, no nothing...$18. They had Pumking on tap for $10...the most expensive pour in town. We also ordered a bourbon sausage pasta dish at our table - it tasted a little funky and nothing like bourbon, just a basic brown sauce that was not properly executed or perhaps it was just old. I even got a little piece of a cleaning sponge in my food. I will never go back here.

If I could rate it a zero I would. The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer twice before the order was sent to the kitchen. It arrived cold, but with decent flavor. My smoked brisket entree was a limp, cold pile of mediocre meat slathered in terrible BBQ sauce. I suspect it was made earlier after overhearing the staff discuss a large canceled grubhub order from earlier. The best part came when I had to pull a piece of glass out of my mouth after drinking from a broken glass. Left immediately after a poor excuse for an apology. Stay away at all costs.

I have been on a ribs kick this summer, trying to get a new place every week or so. After six or seven places, southside barbecue is my favorite. Just the right smokiness in fall off the bone-ness. Have only tried the two middle sauces, North Carolina, and, I think, the semi hot. Just fantastic. Sides were a little on the small side, coleslaw was not memorable, might want to try something different than the coleslaw imho. But I dont think you can go wrong with the ribs, Ive been back twice since I live nearby, and will stick to them until I find something better, which I dont expect to find soon.

I have had nothing but great experiences every time I have dined here. The Scallops Rinaldo is one of my favorite dishes Ive had anywhere, and the duck is excellent, as well. The service has always been excellent, and the location is convenient. If youve not dined there before and you are planning on checking it out on a busy Friday night - heres a tip: You can use the valet service from Nakama across the street rather than spending 30 minutes driving around the SouthSide trying to find somewhere to park. You can thank me later for that. :) Enjoy!

Ive been going to this place pretty much since it opened and cant believe Im just rating it now. They are just the best across the board. Best food, best people, best atmosphere. And let me really, really, really, REALLY stress how crazy good their ribs are. The meat just falls off the bone. Their main chef is maybe one of the best chefs in Pittsburgh. My only "complaint" is that I live right next to them, and the smell comes right in my window and its so damn good, I end up eating when Im not even hungry :) .

Went to the Food Truck Round Up in Braddock. First time eating at a gourmet food truck. I had the pulled Chicken sandwich and corn bread, my son had the wings and mac and cheese. My sandwich was fine, not great, not bad, just fine...@ restaurant prices. The cornbread was tasty...and RAW in the middle...@restaurant prices. My sons wings tasted great, the mac n cheese tasted great, and were STONE COLD...@restaurant prices. In conclusion, next time Ill just go to a restaurant.

The atmosphere and staff was very friendly. We came for lunch. We were the only people there until a couple with two very small children came in. The food was meh. Tasted old. The brisket was tough and fatty, the rib bones broke in half which means they were way over done, yet were fatty, the pulled chocked just tasted old. The beans and corn bread were good, but the Mac and cheese tastes like velveta

A consistently wonderful spot! Had the salmon alfredo - served piping hot with fresh spinach and cherry tomatoes- so very tasty. My salad was very fresh and the balsamic dressing delish! Every bit of my friends truffle salad was savored. I love the attentive service, quaint setting, 2 outdoor tables and value for the quality and quantity of food. Looking forward to going back!

I was stuck in traffic after the fireworks starving and saw the food truck, crossing my fingers they were going to Southside. As we pulled up next to them I asked if they were open, and they said they werent going to be tonight :( not 5 minutes later, he holds out a tray of pulled pork and Mac and cheese (exactly what Id wanted) amazing guys and amazing food!

Havent ate out in a while, but when I was shown this place It looked nice and roomy. At first I didnt understand what most of the food was, but then when I tried the ribs I think I tasted a part or heaven. Those ribs were the best ribs that I have ever had in my entire life, and If you get a chance to go to Pittsburgh, go to this place and try their ribs.

Ive eaten a lot of BBQ over the US and Canada, so its hard for me to judge fairly. But as far as there food goes, it isnt bad. Its inexpensive which is nice. But the pulled pork I had was rather dry and lacked the flavor I was hoping for. Ill have to go back and try more though since its near me.

Absolutely the best Wednesday Wing Night in Pittsburgh. The wings are incredibly tender and meaty, not dry or greasy. Unlike most wing places where you have to order a few dozen to be satisfied, I only needed two wings before I was content! Great staff, great commitment to great food.

Let me tell you something. This place should be packed at all times. Theres absolutely nothing on the menu Ive had that isnt delicious. Their sauces are unreal and the cornbread....sheesh, dont get me started. I dont know the owners either, but I am a big fan. Try.This.Place.

Outstanding BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, by far the best BBQ sandwich I ever had. A little hard to find but definitely worth the stop. Owners are very friendly too, this may be my favorite place to eat in the Southside

This is a shame to BBQ. Pork was soupy and flavorless, sauce was effectively salsa. Macaroni was worse than box. If its any consolation, I have yet to find good Barbecue in Pittsburgh.

Got pulled pork sandwich at my polling place. Meat cold and not seasoned. Cole slaw unremarkable. Sorry but like my Paula deem recipe much better. I did enjoy their fresh, light bun tho.
