At the front of the Z Ocean Hotel, the Front Porch Cafe was a pretty good breakfast spot. With good indoor/outdoor seating options and a pretty broad breakfast menu, my whole family found good items. Our son had the scrambled eggs and fruit cup off the kids menu. It was a lot of food for a kids dish -- at least three eggs, he couldnt finish it. It also came with nice toast. Our daughter had the challah french toast, also served with fruit. She couldnt finish it either, getting through just over one piece (out of three) and eating some of our sons eggs. She ate the fresh fruit right up. My wife customized the ham & cheese croissant, adding eggs. It was HUGE. She couldnt finish it. She also enjoyed her fruit cup. I had the regular breakfast burrito, adding sausage to it and removing the cheese. It was very good. Lots of sausage and mushrooms, with a nice pico de gallo (a bit wet though). The lettuce under the burrito (unnecessary decoration) was unwashed, and had dirt on it, kind of gross. The fruit cup, again, was delicious, and I devoured it. The service was a bit slow, but par for the course in Florida. Location is decently clean, great bathrooms, although in the hotel, so a bit away from the restaurant. Across the street is an awesome park, and lots of fun stuff to walk around and see afterwards. Wouldnt travel for Front Porch, but if youre in the neighborhood. (travelers note; most of the other weekday breakfast options we could find were either IHOP or Dennys, neither of which we would go to so options are limited. For that reason Front Porch gets a 4 star instead of 3 star rating)

My boyfriend and I decided to try The Front Porch Cafe out when we were Miami for vacation. We got their Groupon since it was a pretty good deal. When we showed up, our waiter treated us coldly as soon as he found out we were using a Groupon. When he would speak to us, he wouldnt look at us, walk away when he was speaking to us, and just overall didnt seem thrilled to be our server. Regardless of whether we are using a Groupon or not, guests should be treated with a high level of respect. After the meal, I asked to speak with the manager, and he was FAR from helpful too. His excuse was that the server is having a "health problems", and that he would speak to him. He did not accommodate us at all, and didnt seem very concerned with our service. I will definitely never return. The only reason they received 2 stars is cause the hostess was great, and the fish tacos appetizer was delicious, other than that I would not recommend

My boyfriend and I came here two mornings in a row. The first day, the food and service were great. However, on the second day, the food and service were mediocre to awful. Our food took forever to arrive. The couple who were sat down next to us while we were ordering, got their food and finished eating before ours even arrived! Our waitress was serving both tables, but we did not get an explanation or anything. When the food arrived, my boyfriends eggs were slimy and runny, extremely undercooked. The waitress did not check in with us or ask us how the food was. When my boyfriend brought the uneaten eggs to her attention, the waitress did remove them from the bill. We do not plan on going back.

My wife and I ate here twice in one weekend. It was a great place to grab a meal and sit watching the sidewalk traffic and looking out towards the ocean. It is true that the service is not lightning fast, but if thats what you are looking for in South Beach you might be missing the point. Food was good, service was good, location was excellent. Check it out when you have a chance. It isnt the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for. Only negative comment...they do add 17% gratuity to every check. So each server missed out because I would have tipped more. my rule is if you put on a tip its all you get. But knowing this oyu should have an amazing experience.

Here on a Monday morning, not too busy around 8-9am. Around 9-10am the place got busy, and there was a lineup for tables on the patio by that time. My girlfriend had the breakfast burrito which was pretty good, I had some of it. My "green eggs" which is basically pesto with eggs and cheese, was DELICIOUS. So good. Came with a small fruit plate and 2 pieces of bread (but you can get potatoes or salad instead). $7.95 for the green eggs which I thought was a fair price. Servers were polite and friendly. Busboys were attentive. included 17% gratuity. Good menu. A great place to have a nice breakfast and will likely come back to try the lunch menu.

We were looking for a good place for breakfast in south beach area. We tried a few around like Social club, la Presence but this one stood out the most. The selection is great. Prices are excellent. Please dont compare prices with Dennys since this is a tourist area so you are naturally going to pay more. I had the green scrambled egg and it is very smooth and flavor with pesto. I tried the french toast as well and it is made of egg bread and soaked with egg as well so very tasty overall. All breakfast comes with a choice of fruit or potato as well. The coffee is average and pricy. I will walk across the road to Starbucks for a coffee afterward.

Fantastic location for breakfast or lunch. The staff actually cared about the customers, checking in frequently. In my own experience, the waiter looked at my order as he brought it and said hed be right back. I didnt even notice, but the chef had forgotten cheese for my sandwich (it was an extra addition), but the waiter caught it before I even saw my food. The bartender loved his job and took pride in his drinks as well. All in all amazing place with unique, fresh food. Crab Cake Club, which is basically a crab cake burger, was outstanding. If anyone I know is going to South Beach, Id be sure to recommend this spot for any meal.

Ok, first, ask to sit in Elizabeths section. shes friendly and professional, with an attention to detail without overwhelming you. Second, you can order breakfast all day, and there is a plethora of choices.( yes, I said plethora ). Third, its right off the beach and you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Fourth, the prices are the most reasonable on the strip, AND everything is fresh and really well prepared. We were only in Miami for 3 days but went twice, and probably sent another 15 people from our group there. Hats off to E and the team at FPC.

The coffee whether iced or hot tastes like absolute watered-down giraffe piss. Almost none of the waiters or bus boys are paying attention, they run around like chickens without heads. The wait for the table was excruciatingly impossible, we couldve died of starvation to to have world-class talentless service and sub-par, touristy-trap type of food. You have failed incredibly and the reviews Ive read are misleading. I stand by this review, and would like to forewarn all visitors about this mediocre restaurant, no lesser than a diner setting.
