We had the fish appetizer (tilapia wrapped in banana leaf) and it was amazing. A bit of a high price for tilapia and a banana leaf, but I guess you pay for the spices. For the main course we had a whole tandoori snapper. It was pretty disappointing. The size of the fish wasnt bad, but it was accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and some steamed veggies that werent too appetizing. The fish didnt have much flavor (not even close to the amazing appetizer) and was a bit dry. We had the rose ice cream for dessert and it was good. The menu lists a very large selection of Indian beers, but when we tried to order most of them were out of stock. It is frustrating to order back to back to back beers that they dont have. Service was extremely good. All of the waiters stopped by frequently and were courteous. One even noticed that my wife thought the appetizer was spicy, so he quickly brought her a glass of ice water. It was also nice to find the place open late. Most other restaurants in the area are closed at least an hour before this one. The food is served pretty quickly (but it was less than half full). Great menu selection, but like the beer, Im not sure if it was all in stock. May go back sometime to try some of the dishes that we cant find at other local Indian restaurants.

We had dinner there tonight for the first time. Our daughter and her friends...namely Jesse, have raved about this place since we moved here last year. Well, we got our first experience there and I have to say...its become my new favorite. Our meal was excellent and arrived so quickly I barely had time to take in the beautiful atmosphere. We were treated extra special with no less than 3 gentlemen waiting on us. Im assuming the manager was the fellow who allowed me to taste the 4 pepper sauce, which I was SURE I could eat with no problems...he warned me...he was right...my goodness it was good, but it was THE hottest thing Ive ever tasted! Our drinks were never allowed to get below half-full and they were there with a fresh glass of refill. The rose ice cream for dessert was heavenly! Will definitely return; this is a top of the line establishment.

We have visited Taste of India quite a few times. The taste of most dishes is good, but nothing extraordinary. The prices are on the higher side. One reason this restaurant fares so well is because for a long time, it was the only Indian restaurant in Melbourne/Palm Bay area. Recently a new restaurant, Indian Flavors, have opened up a few blocks north of Taste of India. It has similar pricing but more dishes in their lunch buffet and their dishes do not taste bad either. When receiving take-out orders at Taste of India, make sure you check every item. For us, there have been more than one occassion when they have forgotten to include everything we ordered which we figured out only after reaching home. When called, their response is "sorry for that".

Mediocre Indian food. If you are not used to Indian food you may think its great but its truly mediocre. Their rice tastes like store bought Uncle Bens. It does not taste like Basmati. Their sauces are flat and when ordering take out they have forgotten part of my order several times. There are other Indian places now in the area that cook better but are even more expensive (believe it or not) and they often make mistakes also. At least the service is better at other places instead of the attitude you get from the waiters here. Its a shame that none of the Indian restaurants are on top of their game here. Once good competition comes to the area this place is finished.

Me and my friends were visiting NASA and cocoa beach. We searched for an indian restaurant on our GPS and were lucky to get to TASTE OF INDIA. We got there a little late but we very warmly welcomed by the staff. The most important part, the food.... was awesome. The taste was very close to how we get it in restaurants in India. We tried the chilli baby corn, butter chicken, malai kofta, samosas etc... they all were tasty... I am from MA and have plenty of Indian restaurants in MA, NY, NJ etc, I have been visiting restaurants for last 6 yrs in the US... but this place was the best I have been to... another important point... its not at all expensive...

By far the best Indian food in Brevard County; lunch buffet ($14) is a great way to try some delicious food without having to risk an entire entree. Busy at lunch and evening service is well attended. Local Indian families seem to end o y the food, which is a good indication of authenticity and quality of food. Located just south on Wickham & Sarno intersection on the right side in a strip mall. Parking is adequate but not plentiful. Service is good and staff are pleasent. Mixture of tables and booths with an Indian motiff, low lit atmosphere. Well worth a visit and a return.

I came to eat here today 3.7.2016 because of the following two reasons: 1) because of the reviews, 2) because is a buffet. The food is way too greasy and way too spicey to enjoy. Some of it was over cooked. The salad choice was pretty much only mixed spring greens. No cucumber, no tomatoes. When I went to pay after taking 2 small plate portions, I got the vibe that they care more about getting the money than making good quality healthy tasty Indian food. It gets a 2 star for being a buffet and for the waiter bringing me another glass of water. Food is no good.

I have downgraded Taste of India from 4 to 3. The quality of food has certainly gone down. On my recent visit Naans were crispy instead of light and fluffy. Meat dishes were not so good but vegetarian dishes were better. I has stopped going to their buffet because it is just no good. +++++++++ It is one of the better Indian restaurant in the area. The ambiance is good and food is decent. However I dont think food here is great especially for those who have eaten Indian food elsewhere.

Wow! This is a great place. I was there for the first time on the 17 of September and they had live entretaintment. The food was incredible, my friend even found a good non spicy, veggan dish. I thought it took a little long to place our order, but once the food was served, it was so fresh and the portions so generous, we forgot about the long wait. Taking in consideration the quantity and quantity of the food, I personally think it was priced right. Im looking forward to my next visit.

Excellent food. Horrible service. Taste of India is one of our favorite places to eat...but the last few times the service was horrible. Four people in our party and the average has been 1.5 hours to get food and 2.25 hours to get the check. The last visit was 3 hours. Totally unacceptable. Might look at Orlando resturants next. Might take less time to drive to Orlando and back. Possibly less frustraiting, car seats are more comfortble than the resturant ones after 1/2 hour.

Sorry but this was possibly the worst Indian food Ive ever had. Over salted, over cooked , and sooo much grease. To my understanding theres only one Indian cuisine in all of Melbourne? Tragic. 1 appetizer, 1 beer and 2 entrees = $40 Without tip? Its a no from me. Our entrees were over salted, one of which was ultimately sent back. Soggy, wet rice . Didnt even taste like basmati. Honestly Im pretty sure I can make a better Indian dish and Im as white as they come.
