It was our first time visiting this restaurant. It was some hesitation that we did agree to go. We had decided to give it a try before going to the movies next door. When we arrived my partner sat down and I went to purchase the tickets for the movie. When I got back which was maybe about 5 minutes, the server named Erin walked over and asked if we were ready to order. One of the most distasteful and unprofessional approaches in any restaurant is what I call order takers. Those who walk by and write down what you "order" like a drive through. What I want to ask restaurant owners is this, if you hire a wonderful kitchen staff, chef and prepare great food, specials (as I noticed they did indeed have written on a chalk board by the door) and prepare wonderful appetizers and different courses... why would you leave that information to an order taker? Why not have a good professional who is interested in first finding out who you might be, then help you course your experience? I would have liked to have had one of the appetizers, or perhaps heard about wine( because as I recall the only questions were "What do you want to drink?" and "are you ready to order?". Because she hovered after she asked if I was ready to order my partner asked for bread and I looked at her and said " Well why dont you go get us started with two salads so we can actually read the menu". She brought us bread right away... at least a 3 day old dry, extremely dry, stale loaf of bread and about a pound of butter. A place that promotes itself as a bakery and restaurant. The bread was awful!!! I had to ask her for oil so to maybe get the bread down with some lube. After she dropped two messy half full plates of salad, I would guess approximately 1/4 cup of salad per plate in front of us... she then asked again " You guys ready to order" Clearly we were rushed and so we ordered I had Chicken Picatta and my partner had the fish special he READ on the board. She asked what kind of pasta we wanted... I asked for Farfalle... but she looked lost at what I was asking. ANYWAY... then she brought my partner back a refilled soda after it had been empty for some time... and he was upset that we heard her give the specials to another table and introduce herself and the whole line. While we sat there with stale bread, empty drinks and rushed to "order" he said to her... " The next time you come by can you bring us fresh bread and not three day old stale bread, and if you could maybe try to be a little more excited that we are here and show a little more pizzazz." Her reply was with a tilted head and smirk, and her hand on his shoulder " So your are now my boss?" . I was furious. But the entree arrived, another server brought our bread and tended to us until it was time for the bill. The food was excellent! The best tasting Italian food I have had outside of San Francisco. It was hot and full of flavor we both very much enjoyed the dishes. She came by as we were finishing and cleared the plates and brought our bill, never asking if we were interested in dessert. But when she brought the bill and credit receipt I did write her a note to let her know that without her guest she would have no job and indeed that would make us her boss. I signed the bill and left her no other tip outside of this advise. We will never go back and will make sure everyone we know does hear about this SERVICE or lack of. Too bad... the food is great, the place is attractive. Sad.

My 13 year old daughter and I went here for an early pre-movie dinner this evening. It was our first time to this restaurant and I had been anticipating this visit for a while. We planned to share an entree and a salad together and order dessert after. Having been a server for years myself I will say I do have some expectations for service and attitude of staff. The server "Larry" had zero personality. Im a patient person but it seemed we had to wait exceptionally long for everything this evening. We had to ask for bread, which we received but was just as others have mentioned, it was stale and not at all what I was thinking, but fine I wasnt there for the bread. My daughter got my salad (which came with my meal) and she requested some olives. The server said it cost extra for the olives only AFTER the check arrived and I noticed the pasta was 3 dollars more. We received no attention at all during the entire time until just before we left. No refills on the flat soda, no picking up empty plates. He didnt ask if we would like dessert, or anything really, just dropped off the check without a word. I would have ordered dessert gladly but I was so turned off by this servers impression that I just wanted to get out of there. The pasta I ordered on the menu was 13.50. He charged me an additional 3 dollars for the pasta. Why I still dont know because when I questioned the charge menu in hand he became sassy and defensive. He said he would remove the charge for the olives but his attitude was so nasty about it, I wont likely ever return. My tip definitely reflected the service received and Ive always been an excellent tipper for decent service and above. This experience did not make the grade. I did make Larry aware of his rudeness upon leaving. Im not one to keep quiet about these things, as it nearly ruined my dining experience with my daughter. Its a good thing she is so entertaining. The food is decent here, the cashier (forgot to catch his name) was very kind and considerate. At least someone there made a nice impression and he wasnt even working for tips. My recommendation is if you choose to go here, be sure to double read your checks. Ask questions because no information is volunteered, at least not with this particular server. And if you want a refill you best get it yourself. Im really sad to be leaving such a review. I really was excited to finally get to take my daughter out for her special day.

Went tonight for my birthday, called and made a reservation for OUTSIDE on the patio, repeated that I wanted a table for 10 outside, when I arrive I waited 10 minutes to even be spoken to... when older man abruptly came up and said what do you need, I said "I have a reservation for 10" he pointed to a table and said here(inside) ... and walked away 10 minutes later he came up and asked if we needed water and walked away brought us the water and then we waited for the rest of our party to arrive, during this time I witnessed a fight between two servers, Waited another 45 minutes before we could order wine only after my request which was denied by another server stating this is not my table I cannot help you, working in the customer service industry and having a degree in hospitality and event management I found this very rude and unprofessional. We had two separate servers that night. My table ordered one bottle wine that we had only seen from the wine list that was on the table we were not offered the selection of wines that were available at this location for some reason I do not know, later a wine list was available to us only after request. we all eventually had to order at one time because we cant we are concerned that we were not going to get served in a timely manner. I ordered the chicken marsala which tasted more like a pancake, I ended up taking it home and threw it in the trash; very sweet and very very very watery I was very highly disappointed in the presentation and the taste of the food overall. I will not be returning to this restaurant and I will not recommend it to anybody who ever asked me if this is a good place to go I was very very very disappointed I was expecting higher from this restaurant. Im not sure if it was just the staff that night or how this restaurant is but I will not be giving it another chance to make it up to me
