Ever since my regular Vietnamese restaurant closed down a couple years ago (beloved Pho My), I’ve been searching for a replacement to get my local pho fix. I’d been visiting another local joint for a while, but my last experience there was so poor that I moved on. (you think you can fish cilantro out of soup after it’s dumped in, really?) I thought I was out of options in south Melbourne when to my surprise, I found this place right around the corner! So I drove on over to order a bowl of pho (with brisket). My. Favorite. Red flag #1: the absence of meat options on the menu. It’s just chicken, shrimp, beef, and meatballs. No brisket (cry), tripe, tendon, or the other bits that are typically used in making that wonderful broth. Red flag #2: lemon on the fixings plate. Red flag #3: it came out smelling of bouillon cube and fried onions. And sure enough, there was a small handful of crispy fried onions on top. (?) Red flag #4: the broth was conspicuously missing the dots of glorious meat fat floating on top. Deep breath. This is the most expensive bowl of pho Ive ever ordered, so it has to be good, no? Ok, time to try it – aaaand… ugh. The flavor of the onions were so strong that it tasted closer to a fried onion soup than pho. The broth certainly tasted of salty bouillon, making it pretty clear that this was a cheater stock. (ref red flag #1) The beef was ok, but not very tasty. I love pho, but Im not a certificated expert, so maybe this is an accepted style of pho I’ve just never run into before. But at the end of the day, it was probably the worst bowl I’ve ever had. On the bright side, at least there was no vile cilantro in it! Going over the other points of a restaurant visit seems needless, but - Service was nice enough. I had a very pleasant and prompt server, and at one point the chef/manager/owner (?) came out and stopped at each of the occupied tables to check in which was ncie. I didn’t complain, so I can’t comment on how it would’ve been handled. Decor was sparse but that doesnt bother me, my favorite place had zero decorations and no A/C. Great food trumps fancy walls every time. Maybe their other food is better. But unfortunately I’m still on the hunt for a good bowl of pho. (edit: sorry for the monolithic wall-o-text. for some reason line breaks are stripped out)

Excellent fresh ingredients. I love the presentation. Friendly staff and I appreciate an owner/ operator environment. I have been numerous times and have eaten Pho in many different places across the US. Now one day I wish to go to Vietnam and see how close this may come to authentic. Maybe it will or maybe its an American version however for me. I really havent had a dish I didnt fully enjoy. I always leave feeling full but not bloated and the mixture of flavors is amazing. Great job please keep up the great work. Thank you More then satisfied customer. Tom

Fresh food, friendly service, and comfortable, homey atmosphere at this small, family-run restaurant. We were headed to the Bahamas along the ICW by sailboat (Valiant 40), when we encountered some engine problems, so we had to stop for repairs at a marina down the road from this nice little place. Nothing fancy here, just great, healthy food served by friendly people.

Checked this place out this Wednesday. The menu is not typical Vietnamese/Thai. I feel they just put stuff together and call it Vietnamese/Thai. Ordered the beef/beef meatball Pho. Got the large bowl. This was just beef boullion soup. Nothing home made at all. Very dissappointed. Not worth the $15!!! Not going back

Ordered Pho. But it was not Vietnamese Pho at all. The broth was not beef and it did not smell or have flavor of Pho. The Noodle did not taste like it was blanch to soften but soak in water instead. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star because their others dish might be better but I will not be back to find out.

From the atmosphere to the presentation, this restaurant had it all for me. As a Vegitarian, we dont get many options that taste great. Here, we had great food, plenty in servings, friendly service, and amazing presentation. Would recommend every Vegitarian visit this place.

The Thai curry was wonderful! Disappointed that there is a $2 charge for brown rice. Definitely will go again. Good choice for vegans.
