A European styled menu offering a selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts one is not overwhelmed by choice. However making a selection is not easy, because every item sounds exceptional. Clearly the chef/owner, Jose Martinez is focused on making the dining experience one to remember. Although it was not an easy decision, we chose the following: Mesclun Salad: field greens with fresh herbs, pine nuts, cilantro, and shaved parmesan cheese $10.00 Fresh and flavorful with the right amount of crunch from the pine nuts. Tomato Tart: baked and served with basil juice. $14.00 Surprisingly sweet and fresh tomato taste; outstanding. Sea Bass: roasted meuniere, served with young spinach and condiment sauce $36.00 Fish is silky smooth, subtle flavors and unusual pairings of spices; nice blend of flavors and texture. European Sea Bass: pan-fried with braised fennel. $30.00 A silky, flaky fish complemented by the subtle texture and flavor of the fennel; a great combination. Chocolat Warm Cake: caramel sauce and topped with yogurt sorbet. $12.00 Warm, sweet moist cake contrasted by the yogurt sorbet; “plate licking” delicious. Apple Tart: very fine layers with brown sugar and apple sorbet. $12.00 Classic tart, flaky sweet and full of flavor. In true European style, we were provided small “extra” tastes compliments of the chef between courses; a very nice touch. Additionally, Maison Blanche has an extensive wine list from which to choose your perfect pairing to accompany the fine food. Fabulously French, high-end sophisticated gourmet dining, expensive, but worth every cent! Maison Blanche, a fine dining experience defined. There are few restaurants I would take the time to write a review. Maison Blanche merits one due to the superb service, relaxed take your time with each course and dishes with flavors that send your taste buds to heaven. My wife started with the the asparagus soup. The soap bowl came with asparagus tips in the center and the waiter poured in steaming hot soup. I had the Mesclun salad with herbs, pine nuts and slices of parmesan cheese. I am quite picky about dressing, and often salads are served with too much or too little dressing. It was just right. We had red snapper with garlic potatoes and Sea Bass with spinach roasted meunière, and a delightful sauce. We ordered the least expensive bottle of white wine, we received the same level of attentive service that the two tables around us that ordered wines at the top of the list. We will return for future meals.

This is by far the best dining experience in the Sarasota area. A real chef, with real creations and an amazing taste. The staff and the service are truly friendly and caring, but it is never too much. Real pros, real passionate people who know so much about food, and will make you discover the finesse of high standard cuisine. Each ingredient is a new discovery. A wonderful experience not to miss. No other restaurant can be compared seriously to this one in the area.

Wow!! I had been looking forward to coming here for a long time but I wish it were sooner. Its a bit of a drive for us but it was well worth it. Very elegant atmosphere, great service and astonishing food! Im usually not one to write reviews so if youre in the mood for a one-of-a-kind experience... dont hesitate.

Maison Blanche is exemplary. Elegant decor, gracious service and fabulous food. It is expensive, but fairly priced for the quality, and in the end not that much more than places that are fine but not as special. You will leave satisfied but not stuffed, with an appreciation for this gem of a restaurant.

Our dinner at Maison Blanche on Saturday night was outstanding! We had a party of (4) and everyone agreed that their entrée was superb. The service and staff is professional yet friendly without being obtrusive. And the wine list was great! We all will definitely return.
