We ate here on Thursday 6/29/17 around 7:30. It was for our 3 year anniversary. The entire evening could not have been more perfect. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant for the entire meal. The restaurant is run by a couple from France, the chef being the husband and the wife being the hostess/waitress. We didnt know any of this before taking the plunge to walk in and eat here, but this was one of those rare occasions where when you imagine a perfect dinner, and it turns out to be even better than you had imagined. We sat and watched the sunset from the table in the front as we enjoyed our meal by candlelight with the French music playing in the background. My wife ordered fish and I ordered chicken. We both had desert and a salad appetizer as well. We stayed on Long Boat Key the entire week and ate at many upscale restaurants. This one took the cake. Everything was done to perfection. The food was above and beyond and so was the service and personal details. Scored major brownie points on this one with the wife. I cant speak to how it is during the busy season (winter). But if you are looking for the perfect date spot, you cant really so any better than this. We will be returning.

This place is not similar to the reviews below. There was a completely different restaurant in this location before. The French Table, however, is an amazing and authentic taste of country Provence cooking at its best. It used to be owned by a lovely family, but they sold to this other family who runs it just as smoothly. The food has always been amazing and the wine list is parfait! Small, quaint and lovely, you must call ahead for reservations, especially if you want dinner after 6:30pm. Definitely a must try, especially if you like home cooked food.

We went to French Table for our anniversary after seeing online reviews. It was a small, clean restaurant run by a French family. They were warm and kind, provided excellent service, and the meal was delicious from beginning to end. The husband makes bread fresh each day and its one of the best things he makes. The duo de mer on the appetizer menu was beautiful and tasty. Highly recommend this place. We will be back when we return to Florida.
