This was my first and last time to Wayback. Upon arrival we identified ourselves as new customers. We received no welcome greeting, introduction to their restaurant or information about their rewards program. I ordered the double bacon meal for $3.99 more. My wife ordered a milkshake and my daughters ordered kids meals, with onion rings and chips respectively. My burger literally had two pieces of lettuce the size of a quarter and they forgot my grilled onions. The combo upgrade earned me a 16oz cup to fill with Pepsi product or instant Lipton fountain tea and nine cold, greasy, normal size potato chips. They forgot my wifes milk shake. My first daughter received what could have been awesome beer battered onion rings, if they werent greasy and over cooked in oil that was most likely under temperature. My other daughter received eight chips of average size with her meal. I should add that we were the only people in line and the only other customers in Wayback was another family that were already dining. At check out we had to ask about the rewards program from a brochure that was on the back of the register and then ony received 18 points for $24 of ticket. if your at FishHawk go to Sonic, you will get a better better burger and shake for less money. If not Steak n Shake has better burgers and shakes in a similar atmosphere and will still probably save you money even with tip. If you want to spend $11-13 on a combo, go to Five Guys or . They are just as proud of their burgers and fries, but have a right to be. Or better yet for to Dannys All American on Falkenburg between MLK and 92. Youll save a buck over Five Guys and have one of the best burgers in the Bay area.

FOOD: Burger tasted better than the big chain burgers- similar Th 5 Guys or Burger Monger. Fries were neutral (no real opinion). They didnt stand out except they gave us a surprisingly small amount- cannot remember ever getting so few # fries. PRICE: Expensive $$$! Son and I went and we just got 2 burgers, 2 drinks and one order of fries (did I comment how few we got?) and our bill was over $22. Burgers alone start at about $6.5. SERVICE: Pretty prompt- but the cashier and later server refused to smile whatsoever. Not that I want or expect a cheerleader or sickly sweet employee but on this SAT afternoon there was zero interpersonal abilities on display. Not very busy when we came in but all the, very few, tables were taken. If this was the typical hot/muggy M-F lunch time there would be no inside AC space. Bottom line: Dont plan on ever coming back...way (way) too expensive for the unremarkable burger and paltry amount of fries coupled with the restrictive seating and robot employees

Overall, a lackluster experience. Food is good, not great, service is poor and restaurant is COLD. Entire shop was staffed by teenagers, no grownups in sight. Staff was slow and seemingly unconcerned with getting orders filled prompty. We waited more than 20 minutes for three burgers, then waited another 20 minutes later for to-go milkshakes. Shakes hadnt been started when we asked about them 15 minutes after ordering, and there was confusion among staff to find our order. When recieved, shakes were bland and had a weird, chemically type taste. Really, the taste is indescribable other than "weird and wrong." The temperature inside was very cold to the point of uncomfortable. Felt the same as the 68 degrees outside. When I asked one employee if anything could be done about the temp, he shrugged and said, "Yeah, thats how it always is," and turned away. Burgers were good and made to order, the fries were also good but got cold quickly in the frigid temp. Not planning on a return trip again.

My family & i love wayback burgers , we always come in for the buy one get one but recently we have noticed the lack in workers .... 2 workers a night is a bit of a joke feeling really bad for the tiny girl with black hair that is manger I believe .. not sure shes always doing a great job st getting the food out on time and making sure the workers are doing there best anyway I came in last night it was her & 2 other boys one with a beard was talking to someone who looked like his friend the whole time leaving the tiny girl with black hair alone while the other kid is busting trying to get orders out on time meanwhile the kid with the beard went outside with his friend leaving the other boy to finish the orders not even caring for the customers thats really not the way to go ...I will be back as always but this establishment needs to get more workers thank you!

Excellent food and shakes, but...the service is terrible. The place seems to be run by teenagers all the time and they are awful at getting food and shakes out at a reasonable pace. Last time I was there they had the register person making shakes and taking orders. She was so far behind on shakes that all of the burgers and fries were in the bag on my table and 20 minutes later we got the shake. Pretty bad for a take out order, since by the time I got home (2 minute drive), everything was cold. I like the quality of the food, but every visit the service has been awful. In addition the place always seems dirty with wrappers and food all over the floor in the prep area and flowing out into the dining area. 3 stars for the food, it is good, but the rest of the experience isnt.

Worst place I have ever been to. The food regulations are not being followed in this establishment. I went into this store complained about how my order was wrong, watched the female working here slap my lettuce on her pant leg and then proceeded to put it on my sandwich. The owner told me I was no longer allowed back because I was supposedly cursing at his employees and being rude to them when I only told them things werent going okay, that my order was wrong and that they were not following food regulations which I told this to the person who supposedly was "in charge of this shift" The ridiculousness in this store with a bunch of children working there and no management on duty is literally mind blowing.

I have been a regular customer since this Wayback opened in the Publix plaza. I have ordered many items on the menu but I usually order the classic hamburger with everything on it and chips. I dont like the quality of most fast food hamburgers and I dont like the price of bar and grill hamburgers, especially after you add the tip. I like Waybacks burger, it keeps me coming back. Does it have to be the "best burger Ive ever had?" No. Wayback is a mile from my house and it satisfies my burger cravings. Wayback is a great community restaurant that employs our local teenagers, gives to local charities and offers specials, promotions and a points rewards program. If you like

My wife went out with the girls tonight. My 8 year old son and I discussed our dinner options. After a lengthy discussion with him over eating dinner instead of going to Toys R Us, we decided on Jakes Wayback Burgers. I had the double cheeseburger with the homemade potato chips and my son had the kids burger with french fries. We shared the milkshake of the month which was carmel. The burgers were outstanding and we received a generous portion of homemade chips and french fries. The shake was delicious also. A big thank you to Anthony, Taylor and the wild haired Alex for the outstanding customer service. We will be seeing you again soon after our visit to Toys R Us..
