While looking for a place to have a quick, casual lunch, we stumbled across Terramia Brick Oven Pizza in Lake Mary. Nestled in a shopping complex with several other quality restaurants and a few chains, Terramia stands out because of its expansive outdoor seating area, complete with umbrellas for each table to shield you from the harsh Florida sun. Unfortunately, the décor inside is not quite as nice, as the interior is crowded with dated booths and a high top bar. If this were my business, I would either get rid of or update those booths to better match the more upscale feel that the restaurant portrays in all of its other elements, especially since the website boasts that “You will feel as though you have just sat down at a table along the bay of Naples,” which I did not. Overall our dining experience was mixed, at best. We were seated promptly and given menus, and all of our food was brought out quickly and correctly, but there was very little interaction from our server outside of that. He was not very personable, nor did he really stop by to ask if we needed anything additional or to see how we were enjoying our food. We started with the Insalante Caprese, which was a plate of roma tomatoes with mozzarella, basil and roasted peppers. While this was a good appetizer, it wasn’t anything special that I hadn’t had at any other Italian restaurant. From my one-time experience it’s pretty clear that the thing Terramia does best is its pizzas. I ordered the Montanara: a pie featuring baby organic spinach, whole milk ricotta, homemade mozzarella and shaved parmigiano. The highlight of this pizza was definitively the fresh, homemade taste all of the cheeses added to it, and it was a definite bonus that the crust was crispy and not at all greasy. The disappointing part of our meal was the Stromboli that my boyfriend ordered, which was nowhere near the quality of the pizza. The Stromboli itself was their pizza dough stuffed with salame, sausage, peppers and homemade mozzarella, and it had a good crunch on the outside. The inside was a little disappointing, as the flavors of all of the meats just sort of melded together and were overpowered by the taste of the peppers. But the worst part of the Stromboli was the sauce that it came with, which just tasted like literal tomato sauce from a can, with no added seasonings. While I would definitely order many more pizzas from Terramia, I am not as optimistic about returning for their other entrees, and their pizza alone is the main reason for my third star.

Terra Mia Brick Oven Pizza is one of the best restaurants that Lake Mary has to offer! My family and I moved to Lake Mary in April of 2015 and we were always on the look out for an Authentic, Quality, Italian Restaurant close to home. As an Orlando City family, we were delighted to hear the recommendations from some of the MLS Pro Players (who are neighbors of ours) that Terra Mia is as authentic as you can get. Now, my family is from Napoli and I am always skeptical when others rave about an "Authentic Italian Restaurant"....they said to me, Paul, if Terra Mia is good enough for Kaka, then it is good enough for you, LOL As a frequent traveler to Italia, Terra Mia makes us feel like we are in Italy. Massimo, the owner, is very personable, usually always there and truly ensures that quality, consistency and service are top notch. Everything from the delicious pizza to the flavorful pasta dishes, Terra Mia, hits the mark every time. Yes, it is a small, cozy, busy little place that packs a punch with a warm, comfortable, Italian charm. My favorite dish is the Spaghetti alle Vongole...very few Italian restaurants can make this dish properly and Terra Mia nails it. I usually order the soup of the day Zuppa del Giorno. My wife enjoys the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and the eggplant appetizer, Parmigiana Di Melenzane. My children (6,11 & 15) always order the pizza and rave about it each time. My mother (75) loves the Calamari Appetizer and Salmon dish Salmone Picatta. The espresso is perfect complemented with the lemon ice dessert served in a real chilled lemon...Sorbet Al Limone. Please do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch or dinner! Terra Mia does get busy often, so, come early & enjoy the food and the wine, you will NOT be disappointed! Bon Appetite! Ciao!

I had another opportunity to visit the Lake Mary location of Terra Mia with a friend this past week and for a reason. This is by far the best authentic Italian dining experience in Central Florida. The restaurant is unpretentious and inviting. The bread is made on site and served warmed on request. It is nothing short of the best bread I have ever eaten. The pasta, meats, sauces are all homemade and all are accurately described meaning their menu does not lie. The service is always excellent, the owner is usually on site and stops by to check on every table, every visit. The smells are mouth watering. Small restaurant and has both inside and outside seating. I cant say enough good about this restaurant. I will continue to frequent whenever I have the chance. Sorry, no picture....next time.

Mixed feelings here, we got a Stromboli, and a vegetarian type pizza with 3 or 4 different cheeses. The Stromboli was just alright. The bread was good on it, but it felt a little lacking in the Italian sausage taste. Also the tomato sauce it comes with taste like it was from a can. I do not know that for sure, but I can assure you it tastes like it. The pizza was pretty good. It is no brick oven pizza, but it had good cheesy flavor and wasnt greasy; It tasted very "clean". Service was probably a 7 out of 10. Not very personable but that is just personal preference. They never forgot us or anything. Overall, the place is just okay.

After nearly 3 years yesterday through an unpleasant experience. First the place was full and that I extend because it was Friday night, but because the place is too small for the number of people. We waited more than 20 minutes to accommodate us a table and was told that the wait time was 15 minutes. Finely I placed a table where it all started. Another 15 minutes to give us welcome and so on to order the dishes. Ravioli ask a recommended dish and funnier was that the dish had just 5 raviolis

Wow. Ill run out of words stating my review. I almost dont want to review it because i dont want them to change. They have GREAT food for GREAT prices. Lunch there is something otherworldly. Some of the best Italian food Ive had and by far some of the cheapest. They are better than olive garden, carabas, macaroni grill and cheaper than all of them. You can get a massive Stromboli or entire pizza or lasagna for lunch for under $8 with a drink. Please dont change.

One of the secrets of the Lake Mary, FL. Feels like your at a small bistro style restaurant in NY or even Italy. The pizzas are to die for, and the prices are reasonable. You can split one of their 13" pizzas between two people...we had drinks, appetizer and pizza, all for around $40. Great quality, service, food, atmosphere, and "bang for your buck." Must go.
