did the all you can eat menu. its all made to order, and is nearly identical to Suki Hana in hunters creek. However, the quality is not nearly the same.... pieces of sashimi were somewhat small, selection is small too compared to the sushi list (which of course comes with Rice, which you have to eat or be charged?...) the salads are kinda lame. just iceburg lettuce with various "flavors" to them. salmon and avocado salad was just hunks of salmon, avocado, and cucumber in a "sauce".... the specialty rolls are good, however, read up on which has what; most are krab, or some sort of fried deal. i didnt bother with any "regular" rolls myself. too much rice for me. The Hand Rolls are good however, and you can request an item in the "rolls" section to be made into a Hand Roll: a large cone of seaweed filled with rice and whatever ingredient you wanted off the list. I feel like you will get more protein going this route, vs a regular roll. the "teriyaki" dishes are not quite what i expected either; small pieces of beef mixed in with too largely cut veggies (broc, onion, carrot), and sauce... dont bother with these items IMO. The other plus side to the place is the Discounted drinks when ordering from the all you can eat menu. at least $2 off each normal priced item, some things were $3 off to half price off! (sake, beer). quality again is not suki hana, and the menu is a bit smaller as well, but it is similarly priced, and much closer than Hunters creek, plus the discounted drinks make Mikado good enough to go on a regular basis :)

Exceptionally poor customer service: Placed a carry-in order and when we got home realized we were shorted a sushi roll. Called back and the hostess adamantly insisted I was wrong to which point she DID NOT put me on hold and pulled the phone away from her face and said, "Here, you deal with this". She handed me off to "Jenny" and I went through the entire order with "Jenny" and assured her we only had 2 boxes of food -- she was certain we were sent home with 3. It must have jumped out of the stapled bag and flew out my car window on the drive home. I went through the description of each roll I had in front of me and she confirmed that we were shorted the Godzilla roll. She asked me if I wanted to come back and get it -- no. I asked if it could be credited to my card and she said no. She then said that the next time we ordered to let them know they owed us a Godzilla roll -- sure. Fast forward to earlier today -- I wanted to see if they would honor their word. We ordered our food and went to pick it up. After ringing us up and giving us the roll we were owed the hostess said, "She just wanted you to know that the roll was in there the first time." Excuse me? "Jenny" didnt have the nerve to come out of the back and accuse me of lying herself. TERRIBLE customer service. I paid for something I did not get and wanted what I paid for -- instead I got accused of lying about it. They lost a customer for life. Sad because the sushi is quite good. LESSON LEARNED: Open the STAPLED bag and check your order before you leave.

I had a reservation for 6:30, was not seated until 6:45. Not only that the table was empty (no silverware whatsoever). The waitress took our drink/ food orders swiftly but after that we were completely forgotten. Tables around us were seated, food was received but we sat with nothing. This was not a big meal either, it was 4 rolls of sushi and water. Almost an hour later we are finally given HALF of the food we ordered, I sat for yet another 15 minutes waiting while the others stared at their food still without silverware. After flagging down the third waitress to pass us they went off to get the silverware only to come back another 5 minutes later. My food finally comes out and it tasted slightly above average. Not once were we asked "how are we doing" or "do you need a refill" or "how is everything," it was all blank stares and running away. So here I sit typing this waiting for the check. Only God knows how long this will take... Take my advice, go to amuras in colonial plaza. Bigger portions great service and the food actually tastes good. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have 2+ hours to spare and 10 bucks a roll.

Awful place. Waitresses ignored our party of 2 for 15 minutes. Finally, they asked for our drink orders and brought them to the table without even giving us a chance to place our food order. Waitress was gone in a flash! We were then left alone for an additional 15 minutes. The restaurant wasnt packed. There were empty tables throughout. Eventually, our orders were taken...but it was taking FOREVER so we inquired about our rolls. The waitress then lied SEVERAL times about the status of our order (10 more minutes, 5 minutes, etc). After 50 minutes in the restaurant, we still werent served any food. We complained and then looked over to find the chefs sloppily throwing our rolls together as the waitress jumped up and down telling them to "hurry". Completely unacceptable. Deplorable service. I will never go here again.

A little hard to find even w/my GPS...but definitely worth a few extra minutes of searching. FYI its right next to TJ Maxx. Ive never been to Mikado before. We were in the mood for Hibachi, and this was great b/c we were able to get yummy Hibachi food, but while sitting at a private booth, sans the usual tableside show. My fiancé had sushi (shrimp & crab) and raved about it. The whole meal was delicious. I had the Filet & Scallops, he had shrimp & scallops (both with clear soup & house salad). The ginger dressing was a little different than others Ive had, and while I always love it...this was fresh & fabulous. Our server Mandy was very sweet and took great care of us. The whole staff was friendly and professional. We would definitely go back when were in the area. Four thumbs up!

My boyfriend and I were in Lake Mary, FL on vacation and found this place just out of the blue. If you dont search for a good sushi restaurant, you most likely wont find this place due to the fact its kind of hidden. We both love sushi, and this is probably the best sushi place weve been to, and we go to a lot of sushi places! We ordered the Mikado roll, the volcano roll, the spicy crispy roll, the Mexican roll and the spicy tuna roll. By the huge list you should be able to tell we enjoyed ourselves! Every roll was absolutely amazing! The staff was very friendly and was very prompt with our orders. This restaurant deserves 10 stars in our opinion. If you love sushi, you need to check this place out!!

My family and I have been coming here for years. Slow service is always an issue, but we deal with it because of the food quality. However, I was told 15 minutes over the phone and ended up waiting over 30 minutes for 2 vegetable rolls. When I asked to speak to the manager, a server told me he wasnt here today. I asked another server if I could speak to the manager and she pointed at the woman I had just spoken to. I asked why she would lie about that and she just laughed and walked away. I dealt with a similar issue the last time I ordered take out from here. Lesson learned. Going to Bayridge in Longwood from now on. Its worth the extra 10 minute drive.
