My family and I visited the Yak & Yeti Quick Service stand for lunch at Animal Kingdom on May 23, 2013 and I had to come online to tell the world of the terrific experience we had with the management team of the restaurant, specifically Rocco Valentino and Glenn (last name unknown). One of my children has severe food allergies which are a challenge to deal with in any restaurant, let alone one at the height of the afternoon rush which features take-out offerings only. From the moment we informed the cashier at the front that we needed to speak with management, Glenn and Rocco promptly and courteously presented themselves to us so we could apprise them of our daughters allergies. In short, these two men could not have been more helpful, more knowledgeable and more invested in our concerns. We made our food choices for our daughter and our entire family in concert with their recommendations, we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel we ate, and, all in, the experience we had at their place was a terrifically pleasant one for my daughter, and a safe one for my wife and me. I hope Rocco & Glenn are reading this so I can publicly thank them for all they did for us. We are DVC members, visit Disney every year and eat all over the park at places big and small, expensive and not so expensive. Thanks to the terrific experience and delicious offerings my family enjoyed at the Yak & Yeti, that wonderful place will now make its way onto our exclusive "repeat" list for restaurants worthy of visiting every single year. Thank you Glenn & Rocco for everything! Sincerely, The DiWilliams Family

Maybe the best of the Disney sit-down dining restaurants? I dont know...havent tried them all, but Ive tried quite a few (unfortunately). If youre looking for really good, flavorful pan-Asian food cooked with love and attention to detail, this is not your place. This is a production environment, spitting out soul-less food like nobodys business. And then they laugh all the way to the bank because you probably spent twice what you should have for it. Granted, spending twice what you should have for it here somehow feels better than spending three times what you should have at most of the other Disney offerings, hence the three stars. Truthfully, I had semi-high hopes (why, I dont know...it was actually my second time here) for flavorful food when I ordered my Mongolian beef. I did manage to eat it all (Yay, me!). Of course, I left thinking that I should have found some hole-in-the-wall Chinese joint somewhere in Orlando. Certainly the lo mein would have been better. I ate some of my wifes dinner...maybe bang bang shrimp, but I dont remember...it was ok...but I dont remember...shouldnt I remember for $30 + $15 for a mixed drink (And, no, smarty pants, I didnt forget because of the mixed drink. 1. My wife had it, and 2. I can flat guarantee that there wasnt nearly enough "spirit" in there to matter)? I realize the review reads more like a one or two star, but you have to understand context. In the context of Disney, this is one of the better restaurants in terms of price and edibility. No one in his right mind would ever pay that much for food like that outside of Disney.

We visited here on Friday August 25th. Our server was Joel. He was excellent, highly recommend his services. He recommended a big something drink, I cant remember the name and my wife got a yak attack. Both drinks were amazing and strong! We ordered the Angus burger, kids cheeseburger, kids tenders and my wife got the tuna nachos. My wife said the nachos were the best thing shes ever had. My kids enjoyed and ate their meals. My burger however was not well done and was sent back. It came back more then well done, more like charred. Even still it was ok. This place also doesnt offer regular pickles for your burger, they only have cucumber pickles, which is a bummer for me. The decor is awesome but the bathrooms dont match the rest of the place :( overall, good exp. I thought the drinks were the best part and reasonably priced too.

Having been an international maritime yachting chef, who has won culinary awards in that industry. The Yak & Yeti Restaurant gets my award for being the best restaurant in all of the Disney parks. Having spent five days exploring every park, they offered the freshest and best quailty food, hands down! Most of the food in the parks, is just over priced park food. The Yak and Yetis General manager Rocco Valentino and Landrys, thank you for being there at Disney. You have the best Kobe burger, my visit to your restaurant is what made my Disney experience complete! Great work, you offer the best the best quality food at Disney! Best Regards, Gary Gianotti and family! Milford, CT. USA

This place was a nice find in Animal Kingdom! My girlfriend and I tried it on a whim and I will say the service is exceptional, and the food is amazing. My Kobe beef burger was cooked to order with an amazing blend of flavor from the shiitake mushrooms, scallion compote, and soy-mayo they top it with. It also comes with a slightly sweet version of a pickle made from fresh cucumber, perfect! One of the best table service experiences I have had at Disney. Try the burger with the Fuji apple flavored sake!

A few years back we had the quick service and it was decent, but this year we did the table service here and it was amazing!! My surf and turf dish was excellent and the steak was cooked perfectly. For dessert I had the cheesecake wontons which are served on skewers with this delicious sweet sauce and fresh fruit with a dollop of ice cream. Seriously one of the best desserts Ive ever had. My wife went to the restroom when they dropped it off and by the time she got back, my plate was empty..

The service is amazing!! The cast members were so helpful and friendly. The food is really good too. I had the steak with the coconut shrimp. The cast member who brought my steak to me, Tom, asked me to check to see if the steak was cooked to my liking before leaving me to eat it. And the wasabi mashed potatoes were really good, you can taste the hint of wasabi without it being all that overbearing. The environment is also very lovely with a lot of asian decor.

One of the best restaurants in Animal Kingdom! The food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is awesome (which is definitely saying something, as the ambiance of the Animal Kingdom is unbeatable - this fits right in). Specifically for vegetarians, tofu can be subbed for chicken in most dishes, and the Vegetable Lo Mein with tofu is great. Additionally, the Crispy Greenbeans are to-die-for, and should not be skipped. All-in-all, make a reservation and enjoy!

Really good value for a Disney restaurant. For only $15, the ahi tuna nachos were enough for two people to split as an entrée. I was very pleased with the amount of tuna on the nachos; this is the first time Ive ever eaten nachos and had excess meat. A side of chicken and rice went well with this. The fried wontons were amazing for dessert too!! Try to get here before noon if you dont have a reservation because it fills up incredibly quickly at that time.

With reservations was seated right away by an upstairs window with a great view of Asia and the Discovery River. Dining area divided into small and comfortable seating sections. So, while this place is huge it still feels cozy and relaxing. Excellent half rack of Korean baby back ribs served with an awful tasting slaw. Service very friendly and quick. Somewhat pricey ($20.00 burger) but when on vacation.... Definitely worth a try.
