I was told this restaurant was one of the best around the Jacksonville area. As someone who worked at numerous bar establishments in my younger days, I can attest to the rigors of such environments. Seven Bridges delivered a first impression which was quite lacking overall. The ambiance is pleasant enough. Exposed, weathered brick walls, open mechanical systems, and a glass-enclosed room which shows off their home brewing equipment all make for a rustic, yet comfortable mood. Couple this with the unique wall decor, deep wood bar and large, open floor plan, and it makes for a nice enough dining backdrop. My issues lye with the poor ordering experience. I began with a margarita to wet the palette. It was well poured, had a pleasantly balanced kick, smoothed out nicely with a subtle sweetness. The bartender knew what he was doing. Too bad it costs 9 bucks for a standard sized glass. I could get a fishbowl margarita for that price elsewhere. Poured just as generously. We ordered the chicken nachos and our main courses. They all were brought out at the same time.. The nachos were cold. When I (politely) complained about it, they said they would remake them and bring our food to us fresh and spaced out in a timely manner as it should have been in the first place. The nachos were brought out. They were singed around the edges to a black and brown crisp. They were obviously thrown in the oven and re-served to us. It is a colorful appetizer, yet the poor decision-making left me in bad mood. The entrees were quite tasty. They may have been reheated, but still were quite delicious in taste and texture. The eating portion of our dining only experience should have been far more enjoyable and taken far less time. I am no fan of being at a restaurant for over two hours well before a dinner rush. (We arrived at Seven Bridges around 5:30 on a Friday evening) They had ample seating and the bar was moderately busy at best. Simply put, zero thought was put into the most vital system of a restaurant. Value, quality, and timing. They ate the cost of the nachos and we overpaid for a sub-par meal and sitting around waiting for the displeasure of paying for it. Prices are too high and the cooks are lazy. Hey, at least the bartender knows how to make a drink. The unique appearance and the bar are the only reason I give this place two stars. The menu choices seem great. If they could send them out after the appetizer, that would be a start. They either need to lower the prices or be more aware of food that has been cooked and ready to be served . I am not afraid to pay for quality. But that quality must be present in order for me to feel comfortable doing so. -Chris Storm Reviews

We went here the other night for dinner. I had the Portabello burger which was good if not mushy and my husband had the fish and chips. A very large portion, even in the dark it was obviously overcooked, he only ate 1 piece and was full. Within an hour of getting home my husband was vomiting. He was up all night physically sick in every way possible. He complained of his mouth feeling like he had gargled with oil. I called yesterday and spoke to a ‘Manager’ who could not have cared less and only told me they sell a lot of cod. Just because you sell a lot does not make it good. Check out other reviewers who complained of the exact same problem! Truly disappointing and we will never go back again and neither should you unless you are looking to do a thorough cleanse. The only bright spot in this dark cave of a place was Alex our Server who was an absolute delight. He should be the Manager as he actually cares about customer service!

The customer service was non-existent. My meal was the 2 AM burger. The egg ran off the sandwich, and the burger was somehow medium rare and burnt at the same time. While the burger was sizable, the side was a childs portion. The TVs werent working and the insult to the waiting profession tried to bullshit us and say that each TV had a different channel lineup. When the TVs finally were turned on, hum bars gave the picture a fast forward effect. The wait for the food was about an hour and a half, plenty of time for the staff to figure out how to turn the TVs to what was probably the only working channel. This restaurant is too expensive for this experience. I will never eat here again. Anyone who gives a decent rating more than likely spent all their time at the bar, because no minute amount of good judgment could enjoy this place.

I usually visit about twice a week. I am a travel agent and refer clients to this establishment that stay in the hotels nearby but after last nights experience I will never recommend this place ever ever ever sgain. My burger was so cold that the cheese would not melt. When I asked them to hest it up the cook hammed his finger inti the meat it then was placed ontback the grill & served to me by the manager. This was the first time that I have ever returned anything. After several complaints from my clients about their experience here. I for the first time experienced the rudest and nastiest people in my life. I courteously paid for my demolished burger with the finger digs in it and politely Thanked the waitress. The burger will be handed over to the health inspector & I will never ever ever recommend another person to this restaurant.

We have been going to Seven bridges since we moved to Jax in 2007. We love the food and could always get a great rib-eye. We had not been there in the last 2 years exploring other restaurants in the area we moved to and my Husband wanted to go Back there for his birthday 3/11/16. Much to our chagrin the menu had changed for the worst. Being the trooper that my husband is he wanted to stay. We both orders the rib eye and it was horrible. we could have gotten a better tasting piece of meat from the waffle house. We were so displeased with the whole meal. Looks like they now cater to the sports bar crowd. Well live and learn.

While the atmosphere was nice and the drinks were pretty good, the food was bad. My burger, while cooked medium rare as requested, had so much char on it that it tasted burnt and it was a little on the small side, not that I enjoyed it enough to finish it. My girlfriends salmon was overcooked and though it didnt taste burnt it was drier and tougher than expected. The sides were also fairly bland. While the soup of the day was excellent, the overall the meal was quite disappointing. I will be avoiding this place in the future.

3.8 out of 5. Ive been here before, but this is probably my first review of them. On this visit, my entree (house steak) was really good, but the side salad that I upgraded to and the nachos were not good (waitresss favorite though), crab and artichoke dip was pretty good. To me, (quality comparison) this place is on par with like Longhorn or Outback for their dinner menu. The food Ive had from here in the past that stood out was their salads (main entree salads), and i believe they still excel there.
