Very disappointed. I was there with a large group, we had reservations and an "event" menu with several entree choices. I chose the Gyro, looking forward to some nice, lean slices of Gyro meat on my pita. Instead I got the Greek version of a McDonalds McRib sandwich. It was terrible and not even served with tsasiki...I had to ask for that. The meat was a gyro patty, like breakfast sausage, mustve been fried and was swimming in thick, shiny grease. I tried to salvage it by asking for some paper napkins to soak up the grease, but the pita underneath was totally saturated as well. My server tried to help by bringing me more napkins and a fresh pita, but after one bite of the greasy, fast food fake, I was nearly sick to my stomach. Uneaten, my entire meal was packed in a carry out container but went in the garbage as soon as I left the building. Sorry but wont be going back. I did taste my family members meals and it was all very salty. There are much better places to go in Mt Dora.....MUCH.

The Olive Branch in Mt Dora Florida is an excellent restaurant and I would highly recommend it. We were there for lunch. The lunch menu is reasonably priced, ranging from $8 to $13, depending on the dish. I tried the chicken alfredo, and it was delicious. Minor complaint is that the sauce separated rather rapidly, so I had to eat quicker than I normally would like to. The wife had the gyro, and she said it was delicious with the meat being very tender, the pita soft and warm, and the sauce very flavorful. The service is friendly and very attentive. The restaurant itself is clean and well done, with linens on the tables even for lunch. The dessert menu was sparser than I thought it would be, but the canoli was great tasting. Minor quibbles aside, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Last night was my first time dining at The Olive Branch and I was extremely impressed. For starters, the service was outstanding, my beverage never reached half glass, very knowledgeable on the menu/specials and very pleasant. I was accompanied by a party of 8, which was also their first time dining at The Olive Branch and everyones meal was also outstanding. Piping hot, delicious flavors, and thanks to the large portion sizes, everyone left with a hefty doggie bag to enjoy for lunch the next day! Mount Dora restaurants in my opinion have always been so-so. This restaurant is a game changer. It may seem a little pricey but it is worth every penny! If you are looking for a Italian restaurant of high quality food, all day I suggest The Olive Branch!

No complaints. We ate outside on patio and the live music was great, service was prompt and our water glasses stayed full. I ordered broccoli pasta and my husband the veal, both meals were delicious and came with an amazing Mediterranean salad. Moscato was tasty. Red sauce very good. A place where you can dress up and enjoy a classy meal or in typical Florida style you can show up in flip flops and shorts.

DONT EAT HERE ! MOST EVERTHING THEY SERVE COMES FROM A CAN OR BOTTLE. THE SALAD DRESSINGS FROM SYSCO PLASTIC BOTTLES. THE TOMATO SAUCE FROM A CAN, THEY ADD A FEW SPICES AND CALL IT MADE FROM SCRATCH LOL. 99% OF THE DESERTS IN THE DISPLAY CASE ARE FROZEN FROM SYSCO. THE OLIVE OIL FOR THE BREAD IS NOT EVEN 100% OLIVE OIL. ITS A BLEND. NO HOMEMADE PASTA. OVER PRICED, NO CULINARY ABILITIES

We were greeted by a woman who seemed to be a manager and she took us to our table. She said she was going to get our menus but never came back. Our actual waiter was confused why we didnt have our menus. I think the manager woman was trying to do too much. It reminded me of a Kitchen Nightmare episode. The food was actually pretty, though, once we got it.

Not much of an experience, walked in and they told us to sit where wed like and someone would be with us. Sat down and waited and waited, place was not very busy, 3 tables of people inside. Two waitresses walked passed us numerous times to no avail. Walked out and went to restaurant across the street where we got excellent service and food.

This place needs more love! Food quality was 10/10 fantastic and better than any authentic Italian or Mediterranean food Ive ever tasted. Portions are huge, prices are fair, and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable about all the menu selections. The atmosphere is very classy and relaxed. Highly recommend to check it out!

Our new favorite Italian place in the area. Weve had dinner here about 4-5 times now and enjoyed every one. I especially like the Veal Broccoli Francese. Its a nice portion of veal and the underlying rice mix is delicious with plenty of lemon flavor. My wife has tried several dishes and liked them all.

This is a fantastic restaurant. The service is excellent, very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make our dining experience and excellent one. The food is outstanding, generous portions and just delicious. Excellent chef and very good menu selections. Cant wait to dine there again.

Delicious food and very attentive staff. We popped in after taking one of the last train trips between Mont Dora and Tavares. If the train were still running I would make this trip regularly and have lunch there more often. Alas we live in Tampa so will only be able to stop in when passing through.

Friendly greetings at door. Told to seat self and then no further service. Waiting for several minutes. A couple of waiters at bar with arms folded looking like they didnt have anyone to wait on. Only a few tables occupied. Restaurant mainly empty. Live locally and will not visit again.

Service was excellent. The server was so right on with what we would love to eat and drink. The fish and chips, ladies portion, was bigger than I thought it would be. More than enough. Mushy peas very fresh. Cant wait to try the Guinness chocolate cake. Very, very pleased.
